  1. I know this but as far as I've seen, both send a car containing the right personnel and both will get out if there are suspects on foot.
  2. Further to this question (sorry for hijack) but I'd like to know the difference between using F11/F12 keys for backup and Alt+B/N
  3. The problem is with ELS, not specifically related to LCPDFR. Try downloading version 5 of ELS as opposed to version 6, it is apparently more stable. FyI: ELS is the Emergency Lighting System mod for custom modded cars with extra lighting/siren systems that are more advanced than what the default emergency vehicles have. It is installed as 2 files in your root gtaiv folder, ELS.asi and the ELS configuration file.
  4. http://www.lcpdfr.com/forum-20/announcement-5-need-support-read-this-first/ Read and follow these threads. Particularly the part about running the diagnostic tool
  5. Use dsound instead of xliveless and see how that goes when you reinstall the mod. (and make sure you delete xliveless files in your gtaiv root directory)
  6. Now that that's over with, When you press alt-P you should see the icons on the minimap appear for nearby police stations. If you head to these iconthere should be a red marker close to the main door of each police station. If these markers don't show up, there might have been a problem with your installation so please run the g17 debug tool and post your error log. Also read the stickies
  7. Not all the time but it's fairly common, especially if you press the NOOSE requests multiple times. Do you happen to have any car mods installed over the slots that NOOSE use? (polpatriot, fbi and pstockade)
  8. Sorry man but you've really got to post less threads, especially not with questions you've asked before. Please, before you ask these kind of questions again make sure of the search tool to search the forums or even just google most of these questions.
  9. Depends where you are but if you can tolerate that many taxis then feel free.
  10. Okay so do you see how the combined filesize of the .wft an .wtd files is about 8MB? That's where you end up getting the taxi glitch and needing traffic flow or traffic load mods. Additionally it's also ELS enabled so you have to have that. If you find car mods that are much smaller such as this one the combined file size is only about 4mb or this one: where the file size is only about 2.9MB you shouldn't experience the taxi bug. Just so you know, the default file size for the original vehicles is usually less than 1MB so as close as you can get to those original file sizes, the less likely you'll experience the taxi bug. If you really like the paintjob of that k9 one I could get you a version of the low-detail one with that paintjob.
  11. If the only modded cars you are using now are the dodge charger and the crown victoria that I linked you to: 1) you don't need ELS anymore because they don't use ELS 2) they are low poly and won't cause the taxi glitch so you won't need any of the traffic mods. As long as they are the only two car mod you have, remove ELS and the traffic mods and your game should be normal. unless your computer is reeeaaally low end.
  12. If you want the same quality you'll get the same file size. The next step is to use a converter to compress it.
  13. If you want to record full 1080p resolution gameplay you cannot expect it to take up small amounts of space.
  14. Use the noose swat team model instead of the pilot model. If you want to make it so they don't crouch all the time:
  15. I personally think it'd be interesting to see how far the devs go with the incar computer system actually, I don't think any mods have a similar feature. Really they could integrate the original system with current crimes (not really necessary), most wanted and the criminal database on there too. What I think we could also see developed from their is the ability to look at a persons criminal history as well but the only thing with all of this is that the game stresses out a bit when it has to keep making these personas. I'd like to see some kind of ability for the mod to recognise what type of officer you are playing as and deliver more particular calls such as raids or hostage situations if you play as noose models or terror plots/attacks/drug smuggling at airports or seaports if you are playing as fib. This is potentially more of suggestions-forum topic though.
  16. If your game is still crashing it's likely due to all of these cars mods, especially if they are high poly (the models contain lots of detail and are high in file size, since the game was not designed with run with these originally it's likely it will have trouble, especially if your pc isn't particularly high end). If you wish to resolve this, you'll have to replace the original cars in your game (assuming you backed up the files before modding them) and then slowly add back in your modded cars until you notice crashes. Another thing about ELS cars, (and you must have the ELS mod installed too if you want their lights to work) is that they work by continuously refreshing the car model of the vehicles using the ELS lights and again cause strain and likely crashes.
  17. The car has to come with them, what they are really are textures that are mapped specifically to parts of the vehicle so there's no real way to just add them in through something like sparkIV. Just remember that if you do have a car that has liveries but they aren't showing ingame you have to enable them by adding +livery to the vehicle line (I think in the vehicles.ide file) and you can edit them just like normal images by exporting the layer and then importing it back in after editing.
  18. Changing the lettering on the side of the car will not fix your game. However if you must know, you need to use sparkIV to open the texture file of the vehicle, find the layer you want to edit, export each of those layers that you want to edit as .png files, open them in an image editor like photoshop, erase the LCPD lettering and then use a text tool to rewrite NYPD, then save it as a .png, open up sparkIV, open up the texture files for the vehicle, find the layer that you have edited and import the image you just made in photoshopped to replace the old verison, then save. Alternatively, find a dodge charger skin that someone has made, there are probably quite a few in the downloads section of this forum and then replace the textures as directed. However, fixing your game is another story. How many car mods do you have installed? What ones? Do you have ELS installed and how many cars are using it? What other ways have you modified the game since it was working correctly? What is your resource usage as per the options tab in the game menu? Also fyi, the problem you are having now does not seem to be related to LCPDFR so you are free to attempt to find your problem by consulting other message boards or googling your problem to see what other people have done to fix the same situation.
  19. If you modded your cars you should have saved backups of the vehicles.img before you edited it so you can easily restore it without having to reinstall the entire game. If the crashes are occurring even when you aren't playing LCPD:FR and just regular GTA then it isn't specifically related to the mod. Is there an error message you get when it crashes or is it just that the game has stopped working? If you can, restore the default vehicles. e: I linked you to car downloads on the previous page if you were interested in the simplest of car mods that are available. They do not require ELS (an additional mod) and are low poly so they are very unlikely to crash your game unless it is the SMPA600 error from modding your cars too much and saving them in car spaces. But if they are found to be the cause of the problem and your pc has trouble handling the (small) additional load then it would be best to revert to default vehicles/weapons and a very restricted amount of other mods.
  20. Undo whatever changes you made between when we had it working on the previous page and when it started crashing.
  21. Have you tried adjusting your ingame options? What is the resource usage like when you look at the graphical/game options in the gtaiv menu?
  22. Try drastically reducing the frequency that trafficflow ticks at and reduce the occurrence of random emergency vehicles by making the figure higher in the trafficflow configuration file.
  23. You should add them to the geographical groups rather than the people groups as far as I understand.
