That's not true. It depends on what kind of laptop you buy. If you buy a laptop made for office duty, of course it won't have a gaming card.

I noticed that you are not using the default location for GTA IV. Any reason for this?

I think I know whats going on; the installer is unable to find the GTA IV root folder. Maybe the path to GTA IV directory in Windows Registry does not exist or is incorrect. Have you moved GTA IV to some other folder? Try changing the path to GTA IV directory in the registry manually. That might help with your issue.

Trying? Can you disable UAC: Disabling UAC: 1. Open the start menu. 2. Type “UAC” (without quotes) 3. Pull the “slider” all the way down and accept the changes. A reboot may be required in some rare cases. Also, are you running the exe file?

Running the game + Installer as administrator? Legal copy of the game?
