  1. No, not really. Uninstall, remove any left over files, install, apply patch, run as administrator.
  2. A mod is not illegal? Modifying the product for your own personal use is not illegal. However, sending the original game files over the internet is illegal since you are sharing the original files, which is R* intellectual property. Alright, then you will need to reinstall GTA IV. EDIT: Scripts.img is found in the Common folder archive....
  3. Can you try reinstalling it again? I recognize this issue...
  4. No, sharing the game files is still not very legal. It's still file sharing over the internet, which i.e is piracy. How can a mod be piracy? With a mod, you do not share the games original files over the internet.. However, I was recently informed that linking to this site is okay (http://www.gta-downloads.com/en/gta4/file-backups/).
  5. When you uninstalled the game, did you remove all files from the GTA IV directory to ensure a clean install?
  6. Reinstall the game, since giving those files out would be piracy I think.
  7. Have you been able to launch the game at all prior to this?
  8. Are you running the game as administrator? Latest patch?
  9. Have you bought GTA IV?
  10. Then that may be your issue. Did you make backups? If so, revert the changes to default. If no: Redownload and reinstall LCPDFR.
  11. Nah, One point zero million pineapples ordered for Sam Day. Solve the riddles to get a more clear image of what's up btw folks.
  12. Does it crash immediatly when using that kind of backup?
  13. If you spend some time on here, you'll learn I am everywhere in an instant :p Good btw :) That script is causing issues on some system since it's in beta (I believe). Are you running the game as administrator?
  14. It's a little buggy that function, best to avoid it on some systems. Legal copy of the game?
  15. I see you have failed to notice that there is a riddle in the SYSTEMS BANDMIN user's posts.
  16. Good luck! Pay a visit to the GTA IV Support forum if you run into any issues, and I'll be there :p
  17. Yep, 6 of them. Yay :D What am I doing with my life..
  18. True. What do you get if you solve the riddle? A web cookie? :D
  19. That might just be the best idea I've heard today.
  20. Whooo riddles! EDIT: Is that the Black Smoke monster from lost with a blip over his head? :p EDIT 2: Hah! I know what this is... One Point Zero. EDIT 3: Riddle solving time over dinner. This has got me more excited than christmas.
  21. Let us know how it goes :)
  22. It works in GTA IV perfectly for me.
  23. I can see the terrorists putting this to good use... And baking would be made easier if my kitchen is fully automatic. Uh. *cough* If this works, it's awesome. Thanks for linking it.
