Right now, no car mods at all because I play too much GTA Online - I want the switch to be seamless. Otherwise, usually the RDE cars.

I don't think anyone does. Black Mesa (source has been removed from its title a long time ago) was developed with a proper dev-kit and with quite the larger team. LSPDFR is developed by mainly two people, in their own spare time. LSPDFR v.1 will come, when the developers feel that their mod is something worthy of calling "1". You're not a pretend beta tester, it just hasn't reached version 1. You're free to wait until v.1 releases if you don't want to play it 🙂 Anyway, we're getting off-track here. 0.4 so far looks amazing and it'll probably be amazing as well. Kudos to the team!

Is UAC enabled in Windows? Is the program running in compability mode or forced administrator mode? (Right-Click and check the settings).

The AI drives as well as the AI can in a crime simulator. It didn't really bother me in 0,3 so I didn't notice it as you describe it. The little I've seen of the new version however, does seem better. It's also touched upon in this post by Sam;

Go into Steam, uninstall the game. Go into the game directory, delete everything there. Redownload during the night. Only then can we be sure you have a clean directory to work with - If that doesn't work, there's something wrong with dependencies in your OS or driver issues.

Remove all your mods, and install them one by one. Remembering to test the game between each mod install.

There's a plethora of callout modifications and other mods to add to the GTA V experience, but if you're bored of it, more of the same might not cut it. It's okay to take a break and play something else for a while. I can recommend adding the RDE modification and maybe change up the location you play in, and restrict yourself to another part of the map you usually do not use.

I'd say that isn't correct at all. Long development time is due to they having a life outside of the site and that GTA is a strange thing to code in, a lot of things can go wrong in an instant.

Then your controller could be broken, or faulty. My controller doesn't do this. But you have to be careful on the throttle (like, very careful). Also, GTA wasn't meant to be driven smoothly or legally if that is the game you are talking about. I also play Forza Horizon 3 & 4 with controller, without much issue. Of course, a wheel and pedals is gives more of a racing experience. I still remember playing Midtown Madness 2 with a racewheel and pedals. It was brilliant!

All I can say is, Sam and LMS are extremely busy with LSPDFR - It takes up a lot of their time. You have to keep in mind, they're not some triple A company with unlimited budgets. They're fans of this video game we all love to hate, and play. It's done when it's done, as always! I'm in no rush, there are other games out there to play as well. I promise. Enjoy GTA Online, for example 😉
