  1. I was using this when I made the livery. The LCPD was too small when it was set like below, so I mimicked the NYPD Tahoe a bit by placing the badge and LCPD inside the front door. I felt it filled the area better. I do like the lightbar on this one, not sure which one it is, its a bit more sleek. Perhaps a better wheel choice too? The current one has civilian Landstalker wheels. Maybe just taking the ones off the Police Patriot? Just a thought.
  2. Ekalb, you should pickup with that Landstalker where F5544 left off...
  3. One of my favorite aspects of installing LCPDFR was that you can play the entire game in hardcore mode, not just when you're an officer. The added challenge of getting through the entire storyline this way is extremely challenging and FUN. Sometimes there are missions that are downright impossible though, even with body armor
  4. These look great. One thing however, if the car is very tall, does it interfere with the towhook? Very nice models however, I'll be downloading later when I get back :)
  5. Currently working in collaboration with F5544 to add liveries to a refreshed Landstalker...stay tuned!
  6. I'm having a hard time finding source material. Anyone know of where I can find if these have markings? From what I can tell, they only have front window stickers designated them as "for hire". Also need to figure out license plate designations. From what I've gathered they only have an "H" as the first marking. A livery could also come in handy when GTA V comes out, quick replacement. Man I hope they don't change the vehicle data so they GTA IV cars have to be converted for some reason.
  7. I wonder if there is a way to isolate a car to stay to one part of the map?? I'm sure its in one of the files somewhere, but was curious...looking to set this one to the island of algonquin of course.
  8. I'll be making some liveries to this...
  9. Very awesome, thanks Harper! I can happily make the liverys, though I don't believe real Town Cars have them. I'll look into it if they have any markings of any sort to designate themselves as taxis. Perhaps on the windows... If you could however map the license plate area so I can make different plates I would appreciate it!
  10. Bumping this, any takers? Saw a black Town Car today and thought about it. Any tutorials on making a taxi perhaps? I'll look into it but send me links if you got 'em. .,
  11. Well...anyone out there that can maybe give me some pointers on this?
  12. I'm pretty content with this one, I'll likely use it for my personal collection instead of remaking a set of these. Good job!
  13. Hello, Usually I don't do this, but I was wondering if someone could make the default Washington "Town Car" into a taxi. I really think this is simple enough, but I could be wrong. I'm not sure what goes into making it so it has the location selector like on regular taxi's. Also, provided is a link to an unlocked version of a Washington, in case it is needed. The original may be just as useful, but I figured I'd list this here as well. Thanks to KevinDV for the model. Just another wanted mod to add that feeling of lore-friendly realism to a NYC style game. Tons of black Washington taxis, just like in NY for a $20 flat fee anywhere. It was pretty comfy when I used one :) Thanks in advance! In return I can do a livery texture if you'd like. See my thread for my work.
  14. My hometown. Great work here!
  15. Aw yeah this looks awesome. Quick question tough, any way to make it so its slicktop ONLY, so it only recognizes that extra? Just curious.
  16. Not sure if this was answered, but is there a way that when you're driving and "open" the phone it doesn't pause the action? I like the idea of a real-life situation where you'd have to use your phone while driving for added challenge and realism :)
  17. "Yo" man that is "tricked out". Good luck fixing the window glass. I remember a forum thread on Zmodeler, can't find the exact link, but the forum might give you some insight: http://forum.zmodeler2.com/viewforum.php?f=11&sid=85935acbadda26006b82ed92dde16c28
  18. http://www.autoblog.com/2012/09/12/nypd-officer-fired-after-ticketing-dead-people-blames-quotas/ A New York City Police Department officer has been fired for a ticket-writing scheme after 17 years on the force. According to The New York Post, Paul Pizzuto wrote summonses to drivers he'd ticketed in the past, some of whom had been deceased for years by the time the citations arrived in the mail. Pizzuto says he started writing the fake tickets after command told him he needed to start writing more on top of the 125 to 150 he was already issuing. Colleagues raised concerns when they realized Pizzuto never showed up in court for the additional summonses. The former officer pled guilty to three counts of falsifying business records earlier this year. The NYPD, meanwhile, denies pushing Pizzuto for more tickets and accuses him of trying to pad his pay with his efforts. Pizzuto claims he was improperly fired because the NYPD didn't give him a hearing over the matter. The police department, meanwhile, says he was let go because the citations were an "oath of office" offense, meaning Pizzuto wasn't entitled to a hearing. Pizzuto was one of three officers busted in the scandal, and he not only lost his job, he received 150 hours of community service along with a docked pension. So...how do we get this feature in LCPD:FR for that EXTREME REALISM? The dead gotta pay up too!
  19. I was curious about that date, and when I googl'd it some really silly reports suggest its that date because it's Dan Houser's birthday. However, it did reaffirm my previous statement about how they're trying to make their fiscal year by end of March after proclaiming how much they'll end the year with.
  20. Yes, the Cruiser "Crown Vic" is open, but the Patrol "Impala" is not.
  21. Thanks for the info Ekalb. I also want to map the license plate on the open Cruiser v3.6 Lt.Caine has to match my Buffalo. Sadly he never posted an open version of the Patrol car. Maybe I can add the vehshare texture to the patrol file? I wonder...
