  1. Please stop trolling, i would love to see you come up with something better........ You would think people would be more excited to see games like this but they just bash them instead. And keep in mind LCPDFR is just piggy backing on GTA IV without it it would have never come to fruition.
  2. The passat is still in the game, its shown in other media. Now we have 2 police cars yay!
  3. We are getting off topic here, but what more do want the Government to do about traffic accidents? We have a plethora of statues regulating it entire Law Enforcement agencies devoted to enforcing traffic laws. Redlight cameras, speed cameras, radar guns. Aircraft that can track the speed of any car... etc. The fact of the matter is there are over 200 million cars on the roads in the US so of course there are going to be accidents its par for the course. And there is no way for the Government to catch every infraction and prevent every accident. As for DUI the penalties are already pretty stiff and there are checkpoints set up sometimes, but they are totally preventable when someone is intoxicated they arent thinking clearly and cant foresee the consequences of their actions and that they may kill someone or their self. But in that state of mind nothing can deter them from driving unless someone steps in. Pretty soon we wont even be in control of our own car so im sure that will drastically reduce traffic accidents. Will that make you happy? I do agree that getting a driver license should be much harder, the FL test is a joke can you drive around a parking lot and park in a space??? Okay you passed!!!! But with the Government slashing budgets they are going backwards even closing some offices so that's not gonna happen. As for heart disease that is totally preventable, and there are no innocent victims here, so this is not even a valid comparison. And do you think any legislation trying to regulate what people should eat would pass?? Hell no we cant even get healthcare in this country which is sad. So if you want to reduce the number of people with heart disease, you need to address the root cause which is health insurance. Every citizen should get free healthcare from the Government imo so they can get preventative treatment to prevent heart disease from even being an issue. But that is way too progressive for America instead we got a compromise of Obama Care, so now im forced to pay for my own insurance or else i get fined What! How does that solve anything alot of people cant afford health insurance like me so now i still dont have insurance and i have to pay a penalty because of it just great. This topic isn't about what is the biggest killer its about Gun Control, and imo we arent doing enough to keep guns out of the wrong hands. Literally all we require is a 3 day waiting period on handguns and a 1 min call in background check. Are you kidding me! There are so many ways to circumvent the system its a joke. FL doesn't even require you to register your gun. There should be an agency that checks in with Convicted felons to ensure they don't have and cant obtain a firearm. Tougher penalties for felons found with a firearm and for those that get guns for felons and vendors that don't do their due diligence. Now can we get back on topic.
  4. What!!!! Our cars are safer than ever before thus traffic fatalities have decreased, and the Government spends alot more money and time on traffic enforcement and keeping us safe on the road than they do on gun control. And in many states including mine its illegal to text and drive so yea. As for heart disease, the Government cant tell people what to eat if they want to eat McDonalds every day that is their choice and their right to do so. And dieing of heart disease because you ate junk food your entire life is entirely your fault and you cant even compare that innocent people dieing everyday because someone killed them with a gun. And i will go back to lobbyists again do you think Mcdonalds wants you to eat healthy?????? Hell no they want you to eat their cheap processed soduim laced food. So thats why the Government isn't doing more to curb our increasing rate of Obesity in the US.
  5. I also believe the constitution has been grossly misinterpreted but here we are today. At this point in the game there is not much the Government can or will do so im not even sure why we are debating this. There are so many guns legal/illegal on the streets in the US thats in not even funny. So its not like Obama is going to come round up all the guns thats not going to turn out too good. Furthermore we have all these lobbyists that squash any bill that even mentions gun control. So even after sandyhook and all the other countless mass shootings and everyday gun violence that occurs in every major city in the US nothing has been done to control gun violence. I find it pretty sad that people are dieing in the US everyday due to gun violence over nothing and the Government is doing nothing about it. Obviously there is no way for the Government to stop anything from getting on the streets from drugs to guns but we need to atleast make an attempt to keep guns out of the wrong hands. I dont think that law abiding citizens shouldnt have guns, its the felons that im worried about. We need stricter gun control and i think people in the US need to open their eyes because the system we have is not working. I personally own a gun, because im concerned about the safety of my neighborhood but i dont dare carry my gun on my person or in my car, I don't want to risk my life or the lives of others. The naysayers will say that every person has the right to own a gun for protection 2nd amendment blah blah blah...... but if you need to have a gun in your home, car, or on your person just to feel safe than i think there is a larger underlying issue and that is crime. The US has a crime issue and guns are just an instrument of crime, and until we deal with the causes of poverty and crime we cant even began to control guns.
  6. Power was a poor choice, every Law Enforcement officer in the state has the power of arrest but depending on the type of agency you work for you may have more powers per say than others. And of course a larger jurisdiction even though you are assigned to a CSA. My county is comprised of mostly small towns and cities with very little unincorporated areas so thats why i would go with a Police department. The SO doesnt respond to calls within City Limits unless they are requested by the PD. Now other counties are different and the sheriffs office is responsible for a much larger jurisdictional area. So i think it just depends on the area you live in.
  7. I don't think the guy should have stopped the cop that was just a waste he should have filed a complaint with the agency or went to the agency that regulates the agency. I think it was more of a publicity stunt As for the interpretation of the Law, the officer states the vehicle is for patrol purposes, so that's not a special undercover assignment. Furthermore even if it was for traffic enforcement that would not be special nor should it be undercover. The intention of the Law is to make Law Enforcement vehicles more visible to the public and to prevent impersonations and to prevent accidents. If this vehicle is used for patrol/ traffic purposes it should be marked and i would even go as far to say it should have a lightbar. If you are running code 3 down a busy road or maybe on a poorly lit road, the public needs to readily identify you as Law Enforcement so they can react accordingly.
  8. I would say Police officer in a town or city, you have more power and get to deal with a larger range of events. The sheriffs office deals more with the courts and unincorporated areas of the county, and assists other agencies when needed. And FHP only deals with traffic enforcement and investigating accidents, and everyone hates them even other agencies so yea...
  9. My City has a higher crime rate but i think its relatively safe, it just has a bad reputation. I think Florida overall has a higher crime rare compared with the rest of the US.
  10. Because they are allies with the US and began fighting against ISIS, it was only a matter of time before terrorism happened on their soil.
  11. If that is the case, its not a very good one, three lone shooters with a very disorganized plan. It looks more like maybe retribution for the death of the suspected terrorist.
  12. Hmm I still find it hard to believe that someone was able to get that far into the Parliament building of any Country with little to no resistance , but one thing is for sure security wont be an issue going forward.....
  13. I think its totally up to the mother, there are many valid reasons for abortion and the Government shouldn't intervene in a woman's personal choice.
  14. I totally agree, our society tends to only focus on the negative and ignore all the positive things going on in the world.
  15. I never stated that abolishing religion would finally give us "world peace" of course there is still going to be conflicts and violence because that is human nature. I'm merely stating that we would have one less global conflict to worry about and i consider it a very valid argument. And i know that not every religious person is extreme and goes out trying to push their beliefs onto the masses but as the saying goes " the minority ruins it for the majority."
  16. I was raised Christian but, since i turned out to be gay that kinda changes my perspective on religion. I'm not religious anymore i dont go to church and all that but i wouldnt consider my self atheist, maybe there is a higher power maybe not who knows?? I also think that some people turn to religion to give their life some kind of meaning because if there is no afterlife what is our purpose????? I also think people put too much weight into the bible. You cant prove or disprove what is in the bible so its not fact and people should realize that. Its just a collection of passed on stories that may or may not be true. And lastly religion has just caused way too much conflict in this world and i wish their was no religion honestly because we would have one less thing to kill each other over. I mean does it really matter if i dont believe in your god or higherpower and dont go to church every sunday or whatever day you worship??? No it doesn't because you worshiping a higher power has no effect on me and me not worshiping or believing has no effect on you. The only issue i have with religion is when people force their beliefs onto others by use of force or violence or demean someone because they don't agree with you. There is one thing we know and can prove and that's we are all human and on this planet together and we should focus on the present and not the afterlife because we all could be wrong........
  17. I dont understand why some people are using this thread to bash US Law Enforcement, especially if you dont even reside in this country. You shouldnt make assumptions based off of media reports and hearsay, they are notoriously unreliable. Furthermore comparing the UK to the US is not even relevant, the United States has always allowed guns thus our Law Enforcement must carry them. To my knowledge UK police have never been given guns (except for Armed response, units of course) And you are not allowed to possess a gun in the country. So you have two totally different cultures here, therefore two different Policing strategies. Now onto the topic at hand: I don't believe that UK officers should have guns, for the following reasons. They never have been standard issue so that would be a big undertaking for the agencies. They don't have the need for them based off their level of violence and gun crime. They have armed units ready to respond quickly if the need arises. Now for the naysayers: There is a saying in US Law Enforcement, you know that there will be alteast one gun everywhere you go and that is yours. Guns can escalate situations and that can be very dangerous especially in a country like the UK where guns are hard to come by. So if UK officers were equipped with guns that could make them targets and they could be killed or injured just for their weapons. The weapons could also be stolen from their cars or houses which happens here in the US. Now you say what a minute they need guns in case they encounter an armed suspect???? Well i do remember a case where two UK officers were ambushed and killed, i dont know the specifics but im sure that is a rare occurrence . Now keep in mind US officers are always armed and they killed a much higher rate so how does that make sense??? Law Enforcement no matter where is always going to be at a disadvantage because you cant see whats coming no matter how armed you are. So the best defense is a great offense so be diligent and don't ever get complacent.
  18. Capital punishment has little to no effect on crime, the intention of capital punishment is to deter crime but it does not. Most homicides are not premeditated but in the heat of the moment and the average person isn't going to stop and think about the consequences of their actions before they kill someone. It happens and then they realize oh shit! I might die for this but its too late at the point for the offender and the deterrent effect of capital punishment. IMO we should abolish capital punishment because it has no significant effect on crime. Innocent people are being put to death (no matter how small the percentage) Its clogging up the court system with all the appeals, which not only wastes our tax dollars but reduces the efficiency of our Criminal Justice System. An eye for eye is a very dated ideology and the Government should really be above that. And lastly the best punishment is sitting in a 5 x 8 cell thinking about what could have been had you not took someones live/lives. Getting the death penalty is the easy way out, sure noone wants to die. But would you rather die sooner or spend the rest of your live in a cage where you will eventually die?????
  19. Im not religious anymore, mostly because i cant agree with something that contradicts my sexuality, and im not going to live my life based off of propaganda used to keep everyone in line. And im not sure what you mean by close minded?? I was raised in a heterosexual family and until my late teens did not even know a gay person so i feel more straight then gay, as i stated gay people are the minority and have to be open to the mainstream view to be able to survive in this world. Im not flamboyant or "in your face gay" im actually the opposite but im no closet case and im not ashamed of who i am nor do i think anyone should be. I just want everyone to be treated equally, but a guy can dream.... Well i would be more than happy to debate with you but, you said your self nothing with change your views so what is the point of debating if it gets nowhere??? And you dont need to keep repeating your stance on the issue we get that you were brainwashed as a child...
  20. Yes im so intolerant did you not see me with the bullhorn on the corner condemning heterosexuality?????? Its pretty easy to criticize someone when you are the outside looking in but take a walk in my shoes and then you can come talk to me about how im the bad guy... The majority of my friends are straight and im the minority in this straight world so of course im tolerant, i have to accept heterosexuality on a daily basis so much so i have to question my own identity because of what society and some book says is right and wrong. Its not easy to respect someones disapproval of you, but everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and can express them freely as long as they don't tread on the rights of others, so you can say whatever you want about homosexuality just don't take away my rights because you dont agree with them...... I'm not going to open that can of worms.
  21. I'm sorry but you don't need to justify homosexuality, im not a criminal and ive done nothing wrong. Im just being my self and homosexuality is not a choice so lets not start that.. And discussing homosexuality in a topic on gay marriage is very much on topic. And im merely expressing my opinion on the terminology, I could honestly give two dicks about marriage its an overrated institution and its significance has clearly been thrown to the wayside. Now if you are going to give me the right to marry dont do it under false pretenses i would rather wait for full equality.
  22. Dont worry i wont waste my time, i can tell its too late for you, you already drank the kool-aid. May the odds be ever in your favor......
