Yup, for player. Removing audio files from the folder itself doesn't work because they're not stored there. Those speeches are part of the actual game.

You could try muting player's voice through Simple Native Trainer.

Okay, what car mods did you install exactly? If you've got a lot of mods, car mods, even a few high poly ones the game's more than likely to start memory leaking and causing graphical issues and such.

Yeap, there's no real difference between the Steam and retail versions. Mods should work just fine, you're just doing something wrong probably.

You definitely should get it. It's probably the best co-op game I've ever played so far.
