  1. We haven't yet made the moderation changes we've wanted to make yet. Once we have, we'll have a discussion internally about bringing them back.
  2. Hey all, In the coming days we'll be hoping to disable the ability to keep old versions of modifications in our downloads section and remove all old versions of files from our system. This feature of the IPS download system has never been fit for purpose, and hasn't really worked right from the inception, with the ability to restore old versions and download them simply not working most of the time. It is completely inconfigurable from an administrative standpoint and we've never been able to, for example, change the default action of saving previous versions to being off without making theme/core edits. This action alone should allow us to reclaim around ~150GB of disk space. Authors can optionally include old versions as files on their download (which is already done by a lot of authors), or they can create a new file with the old version. If you need help retrieving an old file, please let Cyan know before the 9th November. We're also hoping to streamline our upload process. We've started work on a new uploader system that we're hoping will be more reliable, provide more verbose details at each stage of the process and deal with very large files. A test of this system should be available by the end of the year. If you have any objections or want to air some feedback on any of the above please just leave a comment here! Cyan EDIT: For clarification, the feature we are removing is this: You won't be able to pick old versions and download them. Authors can optionally include old versions as files on their download (which is already done by a lot of authors), or they can create a new file with the old version. If you need help retrieving an old file, please let Cyan know before the 9th November.
  3. Very odd. I'll try and have a look into this but this situation is possibly beyond our control.
  4. Post again in the right section, make sure to read all of the readme's for the modifications you are using first.
  5. can't reproduce on my end
  6. We like listening here. Personally I don't see a separate gallery category for images which aren't entirely relevant to be a bad thing - I thought we already had this tbh.
  7. I think creating a showroom topic would be more appropriate. The downloads section is reserved for modifications which are uploaded on site so as to be consistent for users. The limit of the files being 185Mb has been present all this time, however due to a bug it hasn't been showing. If you'd still like it on our downloads section, you can PM me a link to where it is externally and I can upload it directly if you'd like.
  8. https has been enabled for APIs above. More news soon.
  9. Can you please let me know what you're trying to do and what the exact file size of the file you are trying to upload is? Why is your file that big? I think a few months ago we reduced the limit to around 200Mb for individual files.
  10. I can't replicate this. Our monitoring shows that our servers have not been over capacity recently. It may be the case that there is a contention issue between our frontend provider and your ISP. In which case, only they can solve the issue.
  11. The version you are seeing via that third-party tool and the metadata on the DLL file is the build version. This differs from the actual public version we decide to name it. For example, I'm running Windows 10 build 14931.1000, this differs from the public version of Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
  12. Nobody on the staff team told you we had anything 'better' than TLS/SSL. I think the unofficial answer you were given was stressing the fact that we have a very custom setup and that SSL is not outside the scope of what we can do. I then gave you an official answer - by telling you that we're not interested in supporting it. I would read a bit into how routing works to understand why I've come to the conclusion that SSL is not for us. Nobody can see your password or other details as they travel between us bar upstream partners and ISPs. These partners and ISPs deal with terabytes of traffic daily, they aren't interested in your password. They are also bound by law as to how they handle data. I guess baring using an unprotected Wifi network like a coffee shop, a big three letter agency and perhaps having some malicious monitoring device on your own network, nobody is going to see your password as it travels to us. We hash passwords on our database so they aren't stored in plain text on our side. I am keeping a keen eye on the HTTP 2.0 implementation, and looking at performance benefits. HTTP 2.0 practically requires SSL, so it might be the case we end up supporting SSL due to the performance benefits we see in HTTP 2.0. That is work that is not for the near future though. Your topic was closed as the discussion was closed - we gave our answer to you that this won't be supported in the near future. I'm using the term SSL interchangeably with TLS here. SSL 3.0 etc is mostly deemed as insecure now.
  13. Can you let me know if you're still experiencing this?
  14. Accounts are not automatically deleted. It is more likely you have forgotten your credentials. If you've forgotten the login & e-mail, unfortunately there is very little we can do to help you recover your old account.
  15. So something like a generic 'Textures' section, then?
  16. Nothing we can do about it here. If you're banned from there, I guess they have a pretty valid reason; they don't tend to ban indiscriminately.
  17. I had the genius idea of PMing you to help you solve this, as this was connected to messaging and I guess slightly private, then I realized you can't access PMs are realized how stupid that idea was! If you go through to http://www.lcpdfr.com/messenger/ and try to manually click through messages do you have any luck? If not can you try and clear your cache? It's possible you got a corrupted JS cache somewhere.
  18. The ticket system is no longer used, the forum is the only recommended way to report a problem. Can you attach a screenshot of the problem?
  19. I replied in the last thread that we're looking into it.
  20. Cheers for the feedback, I'll try and make it more precise when we get a moment. I'll update this thread when we have an update. We don't block any content to users using adblock. All that we wish to convey is that if everyone blocked ads, we wouldn't have the infrastructure in place to serve 40Tb+ of content every month and there would be no website. As much as I feel users have the right to block ads, I feel like we have the right to convey a message to users blocking ads.
  21. I can't seem to replicate this issue on my end, I had no issue uploading a 50Mb file. Please try logging out and logging in again, and if that fails, clearing your cookies on this website. It could be a session problem.
  22. You can generally just paste the link to the YouTube video then hit enter.
