I can't imagine that would be illegal, but I don't know what the laws are in the US. I assume the laws in the US are similar to UK's though, that there is no expectation of privacy in public spaces. That being said, I don't know if it's entirely a great idea to piss off the local FD.

You could have a basic look on YouTube, there are literally hundreds of video tutorials. Additionally, the manual installation package includes instructions - look for them.

GTA 4 is relatively stable when I stuck to script modifications only. Adding vehicle models/textures produced the same instability as seen in previous Windows versions for me.

There is a plan for this to return in one of the next versions of LSPDFR, along with integration with the website and some unique features! The LCPDFR system was deactivated, mostly due to our upgrade from IPS 3.x to 4, which made the frontend display systems incompatible - and all development resources are focussed away from GTA IV.

I am always hesitant to add new fields to our downloads system. It leaves the question of who updates the old files?

The way we recommend is playing with no modifications whatever, except perhaps a few API modifications designed to work with LSPDFR. It's been an idea we have been interested in, but we'd only reliably be able to support LSPDFR itself and a few script modifications. Vehicle modifications would be harder (albeit not impossible) to automate installation of. We were close to realizing the Mod Manager for IV, but it was never completed.

We've improved the test so that the CAPTCHA only has to be completed once every 30 minutes. This should make long download sessions a little easier!

I've added a 'Stats' button in the author/file action menu that will show downloads made in the past 7 days on your file. I plan to add configurable date ranges to show, as well as a differential between unique downloads and downloads.

I'll continue to have a look as well -- these type of ads benefit absolutely nobody so it's certainly something we want to get rid of.

We don't (to my knowledge) serve any auto-playing video/voice ads. If you think one has gotten through, we'd need a screenshot or link to it so we can block it, we can't do anything about these things unless we are alerted to them.

*shrug* I can't think of a moderation reason, so it's probably a misconfiguration that was never brought to my attention.
