  2. I understand, if you think that the approval process has taken a bit or you are having an issue with the system in general feel free to PM me and I can take a look. That goes for anyone else too. We do some basic check on VirusTotal. If anything comes up or is otherwise suspicious we may do a deeper analysis in a controlled environment to see what's going on. The behavior you described is fine, we don't have any new rules when it comes to what scripts can do.
  3. We had an incident a few weeks ago where an executable ridden with Russian malware was uploaded, and was downloaded by a few people. A reactive approach didn't work because there was around a large period where the file was reported and action was taken. Additionally, we've had problems in the past where script modifications have had behavior that has been verging on unwanted. Since reactive doesn't work, we're switching to a proactive approach -- anything that contains executable files now goes through a security check process. Eventually, this will go through VirusTotal and VM analysis automatically. We're still working on the system, so whilst data is being collected and stuff is being tuned, all executables will go through a manual review.
  4. Most of this can be explained away by staff that login anonymously. They will not show as having been logged in since the last time they logged in non-anonymously. It's a common practice that staff login anonymously, for many reasons, but one of them being that people can't gauge activity patterns and figure out when the best time would be to upload porn or something that violates our rules. Additionally, so that staff views don't show on profile pages for investigations and misc. For a good example, you can see @willpv23's profile says last active Feburary 21, but you can see posts from Monday on the profile.
  5. Help me understand - what can be so infurating about a file release meant for the general public?

  7. Closing - we had a thread previously that was closed due to potential legal response from the developer and community concern.
  8. Can you provide a log file, after you switched it back? There's no way of troubleshooting otherwise.
  9. Follow the installation instructions in full. Let us know step by step what you've done and tried.

  11. No, don't switch it. For a start the file literally tells you not to unless you know what you're doing, and secondary en-UK isn't even valid. You'd be looking for en-GB, but unless that's provided by Vocal Dispatch you should keep it as it told you to, en-US. This is at least one of your errors; [13/04/2017 10:56:07.655] LSPD First Response: VocalDispatch: Encountered an exception. It was: System.InvalidOperationException: The language for the grammar does not match the language of the speech recognizer.

  16. You'll have to contact moderation staff via PM. We don't discuss accounts in public.
  17. The notification system in the software we use is just horrible and badly designed. We're working on trying to make our own improvements though.
