  1. Does there really need be a new thread every day about this?
  2. RPH doesn't require Scripthook V, and neither does LSPDFR.
  3. Cyan replied to Boslammin's topic in Legacy
Your topic has been moved to GTA V Support, this is not LSPDFR related. Please post in the correct location in the future.
  4. I can't think of a situation from a legal standpoint where a C&D would be directed towards the LSPDFR project or LCPDFR.com. It would be redirected towards RAGEPluginHook, if anything. Although in the case of a C&D from an international multi-million dollar company, I think we'd have to weigh up all of our options. I couldn't see that ending well though, just because of the vast amounts of money that would be involved in legal representation against Take Two's vast legal department if it escalated to that, for very little award (continuing the status quo).
  5. I've approved this, however please note I did notice that this uses a high amount of CPU while running (25% on my quad core system). Perhaps needs a few sleep()/usleep() statements somewhere?
  6. Apologies, this was an issue on our server. It should be fixed now.
  7. Right, and ultimately whether or not you've done nothing wrong, you're going to spend a lot of money in court against T2's lawyers. An action the OpenIV team didn't want to do as they didn't see it worth money defending themselves just to return to the status quo. If anything like that happened to us, we probably wouldn't want to go through court battles with T2 either and would probably have made the same decision.
  8. Nothing. Find a copy of OpenIV from other sources. Nothing is 'illegal' until tried and tested in court. A cease and desist is basically saying 'stop doing this or we'll take you to court'. Additionally, this website has no direct connection to OpenIV.
  9. The problem is hardly that OpenIV is going to be stopped or difficult to obtain, it's mirrored in so many places that I think some elementary level Googling can find it. The issue is the future features that were coming to OpenIV that only a few people talented at reverse engineering would be able to pull off (e.g. full animation support and some of the files we don't quite understand yet). There's enough documentation already on Github that any idiot could throw together a sub-par OpenIV as it stands right now.

  18. Use the other thread.
  19. It's an odd attitude change from Rockstar, as GTA SA and GTA 4 sales were certainty advanced by the modding community. On our social media platforms and on the forums here alone, we hear a lot of people just buy GTA 5 for modding it. This is a truly depressing turn of events if true, and I can't see myself funding Rockstar Games/Take Two in any way in the future if that's the case.
  20. We've just pushed a bugfix that should fix this issue.
