  1. Is this something that has started in the past few days or since the upgrade?
  2. There's been some discussion on this before. Our policy is that any plugin that does any sort of automated installation (of programmatically downloaded files/binaries) won't be approved on the download section of LCPDFR.com for security reasons. As for the IPS API, that's not something we'll be exposing. However, we do already have our own custom API for checking for new versions of files on LCPDFR.com, and this is already used by a lot of script plugin developers here.
  3. Are you still having this problem? I can successfully download both files on my side, this could have been a temporary problem.
  4. I like these debates, they are very representative of why nothing changes in modern politics. People will pick a binary position (left or right) and will refuse to capitulate or analyze any of the other sides' ideas. Even though both sides have some valid points and arguments. And that's why nothing will truly change. Sure, the laws might change a bit when the candidate which represents the binary side gets into office, but they'll probably change right back when it inevitably flips. There's literally no point to this debate. This topic is literally a thread about gun control -- but not only this thread, the entire reporting in the news. The thread on this topic might as well just be 'Gun control; hear yet another repeat of the same static points'. What a complete disservice to the victims of the attack.
  5. Your topic has been moved to LCPDFR Support Requests. Please post in the correct location in the future.
  6. Which file are you having the issue on?
  7. I think you've been misinformed. You can see who is involved in the team from our staff page.
  8. What GPU does it have? As far as the CPU, it's a gen-six Skylake. Personally I'd go for a 6-core coffee lake (8th series) laptop CPU if you're buying a laptop right now.
  9. Yup, that's definitely a problem on our site, thanks for letting us know. We'll fix this shortly.
  10. Because it's just not practical. How many people do you think were involved in the development of GTA5? The budget for the game was huge, and thousands of people worked on it in some form. As a game modification, we hitch on and work with a rock solid foundation, with $265 million of free R&D. And even then, it's not perfect. LSPDFR is simply not an experience that could be turned into a standalone game, unless a huge studio got behind it. And even then, it would probably be diluted down to cope with the fact that the people who actually want a police mod/game is a very very small niche when talking on an international game studio scale.
  11. I think this should be fixed, let me know if this solves it for you.
  12. Can confirm it's happening for me with large files too, looking into.
  13. Hi all, We've upgraded to the latest version of our community software, Invision Community 4.3, this internally marks the seventh notable version upgrade of LCPDFR.com (although I'm unsure if the number is entirely accurate through our huge history at this point!). Most of the changes are back-end and code related, but there are a few changes that are worth talking about: Gallery Changes / Improvements The latest Gallery changes make it easier to share you images with LCPDFR.com than ever before. The uploading process has been completely revamped to make sharing images as easy as possible. As well as this, the image viewer has been modernised, and focuses a lot more on the image itself. In the following days, our policy of 5 images at once will be removed. Keep an eye out for more information. Improved Emoji support This new update brings heavy improvements to the Emoji system. You can access this in the Emoji button 🙂 in the editor, or by using Discord and Slack like shortcuts, e.g. -- you can see an example of this in action here. We'll hopefully be bringing some custom emojis to the site soon -- and we're happy for suggestions! Search Improvements Over the next few weeks, we'll be moving our search system to Elasticsearch, a more powerful full-text search engine. I think I can speak for all of us when I say improving our slightly-lacking search is a massive priority, and this will pick up the quality of results. Performance Improvements LCPDFR.com can be slow at times, and a lot of it is due to the fact that the website does not make a great deal use of caching. This update brings better caching to the site to speed up everyone's experience a bit. If you have any feedback, or notice anything a bit off, please let us know. I can imagine that most of you probably won't notice much has changed! Cyan.
  14. Hmm, odd problem. Try using another browser.
  15. That message is on the mod page and is an informational that shows to everyone. What happens if you actually scroll down and hit download?
  16. You'll have to be a lot more clear on what issue you're having.
  17. Please PM me to confirm.
  18. Your topic has been moved to LCPDFR Support Requests. Please post in the correct location in the future.
  19. It depends if they choose to bring microtransactions into it. Can you imagine how forced it would feel?
  20. I've had this issue too a few times. Only solution I found as well was to reboot.
  21. Your best bet would be looking around if they have a Discord or something or PMing the user directly here.
  22. LCPDFR is end of life, no further updates will be produced. The main thing stopping the compatibility of LCPDFR is the fact that the .NET Scripthook for GTA IV seems to be abandoned (and maybe the normal C++ scripthook too, I've not checked) and have not received updates for 1.0.8.0. The authors don't seem too interested in fixing this. If someone edited the Scripthook to make it compatible, it would not be allowed to be distrubuted for copyright reasons. If someone makes a new scripthook, LCPDFR would need to be ported to that, which wouldn't happen as LCPDFR as end-of-life. Your only practical solution is downgrading your game to 1.0.7.0.
  23. Well one of our developers is a RPH developer, so yes. RPH and LSPDFR are decently optimised, there is no significant frame-drop for either. Any performance drop you are observing is behaviour by other plugins/addons.
  24. I'd love to, however, it doesn't provide any decent protection against targeted attacks, when the system can be solved for pennies on the dollar. Attacks we have received here have shown that Google's CAPTCHA solution is not a feasible fix for a well-funded adversary. Our own solution on the other hand, takes some custom code for a would-be attacker or spammer to abuse, and they are generally intelligent enough to use tools, but not intelligent enough to employ a bespoke solution. We might try making our own solution to the issue, that would be completely transparent to most users, but this is something that would come in the distant rather than near future.
