We only support the latest version of the game. We don't support downgrading.

I prefer Enhanced, but there's not a lot of guides for it. I wouldn't recommend it to those getting started, unless you do not care about modding vehicles/peds. If you're going to stick to script mods, then go for it. I'd also recommend it for the "classic" modding crowd, the type that likes to get their hands dirty. You'll have to go off guides, convert assets yourself and use tooling that's newer than the norm. It's worth it though - Enhanced is by far a more fluid version of the game.

Can you send me a screenshot, and attach your RAGEPluginHook.log from a session where you've tried.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile, which is a pretty standard CAPTCHA. I don't use Opera, but Opera is pretty much just Chrome behind the scenes, so if there is an issue there, it's Opera blocking something. I’m genuinely a little surprised the base price isn’t $100 and that Rockstar wasn’t the company to lead the industry there. Inflation, wages, R&D and general operating costs, even things like electricity, have all risen sharply in recent years. Even major studios backed by Microsoft and Sony are struggling with the cost of developing modern games. From a consumer stand point it sucks and I'm likely to buy games less, but it is what it is.

Have you made any other changes or installed any other mods in your GTA 5 Enhanced folder?

Hey! Fantastic to hear about your project. LCPDFR as mentioned by Gan Ceann, is already open source, and a great deal of engineering effort to make it run on Complete Edition has been made by us; https://www.lcpdfr.com/downloads/gta4mods/g17media/26726-compatibility-patch-for-gta-iv-complete-edition/ Our compatibility patch suite already fixes Scripthook .NET, patches aru's C++ scripthook and fixed AdvancedHook. The legacy edition that ships with LCPDFR to this day, supports Complete Edition. Any further work is always appreciated, and we look forward to reviewing any pull requests or patches you make against LCPDFR.

The problem with anything new against the 'established ways' of doing things is we're too far into the game's lifecycle at this point. Enhanced is superior to Legacy, for example, and our LSPDFR Enhanced player numbers are still vastly below Legacy - the ecosystem just isn't there. DLS may be superior to ELS, but it will struggle to complete with the decade of content, tutorials and creator videos of ELS. LML experiences the same issues. And we're too close (potentially) to GTA VI on PC for new things to gain a real foothold, in my opinion.

Most script mods work.

For maximum customisation, Legacy is still the best bet. Enhanced in my opinion is far more refined, just runs a whole lot better, and if you prefer a more vanilla experience, the best pick. There are ways to convert Legacy vehicles to Enhanced, but it's not the most user friendly. Enhanced dropped a little too late in the game's lifecycle for a lot of modifications that need specific porting to care. Even Rockstar have not ported FiveM over yet.
