  1. Some of the things you are spawning might not have a collision model.
  2. Your phone's internet runs off of a radio chip that interfaces with remote towers owned by the phone company (when you are not connected to wifi and you have a data plan). These towers are not usually affected by power outages, and even if they are, there are usually multiple towers in range of your phone.
  3. Yeah, that's why they have the iphone app, assuming you have cellular data.
  4. Southern California Edison has a map on their website where you can see current outages, the reason, and when power is expected to be restored. They even have a nifty iphone app so you can check during the outage. I would think that a lot of power companies would have something similar.
  5. I meant he somehow used a vanilla windows version of dsound.dll. There normally isn't one in the GTA IV directory because the game will automatically call the one in the windows folder. However, if you place dsound.dll (or any other windows dll that it uses) in the GTA IV directory, it will use those instead of the windows versions. That is my understanding of it, at least.
  6. Perhaps you used an unmodded dsound.dll.
  7. It's quite a lot of work to make all those skins, you will probably have better luck asking for just one or two. Also, if the cars are not already EVCS optimized, they need to be before they will work. To do that the modder will need the car models themselves, not just templates.
  8. Everyone has their own taste for music. A genre that I may not fancy (like country) some people love. I don't have anything against country music or the people that listen to country, it's just that I don't have the taste for it. That being said, the songs I can't stand are the kind laced with profanity and bad messages. Why fill your brain with junk like that?
  9. Yes, and also you can change the colors of the lightbar (if it is ELS) by editing those texture files. I haven't had much chance to work on the esperanto, but I'll post here when I'm done. If you'd rather, you can download >this 1989 Ford Crown Vic LTD and just change the lightbar textures to blue. It should also come with a texture template.

  11. Ah, ok. You could always try specialized sites like crownvic.net.
  12. Hm, well I'm out of ideas. You'll have to get someone more familiar with crown vics or engines to help. You could always just put them (I thought a crown vic had dual cats) on for the inspection and then take them off later. (not suggesting that you do :P)
  13. Judging from your description, it could be any number of things. Does it still make the noise when you rev the engine in park? (as opposed to idling) Also, you don't really need catalytic converters, and you'll get better gas mileage if you just remove them. (not sure how legal this is in Canada though)
  14. Sorry, I didn't mean to derail the topic! I was just curious.
  15. He could have one of those laptops where you need to press the FN key to use the F keys. Some laptops are set up so that you can change the screen brightness and stuff with the function keys, and to actually press F9, you need to hold down FN (or alt or something) and then press that key.
  16. Ah, ok. From what I heard, only the highlanders really want independence and most lowlanders either don't care or want to stay linked.
  17. Is Scotland going to ever become independent from Britain? When I went there last year they said there was going to be a vote on whether they should become independent, but I don't know if it has happened or what came of it.
  18. Great review ineseri! I love the screenshots and you describe the game excellently! It's also cool to read a game review where you explicitly point out and describe the police in the game. That's something I'll usually look for in a game, but most reviews never bring it up or only give it a passing mention.

  20. Well, if you want I could just make the model and give you a skin template so you can customize the skin yourself. Also, you can edit posts by hitting the edit button below your post, that way you don't have to double-post.
  21. Ok, I'll see if I can make something.
  22. The twinsonic is the one in the picture that you posted. I've seen that lightbar around on a lot of 3d models and it shouldn't be too hard to convert. Did you want an enclosed bar like the one in your orginal post, or do you prefer the one that you just posted.
  23. Does it have to be a Fedsig Twinsonic Lightbar, or would you be ok with an aerodynic or something, because someone would have to make the twinsonic from scratch (unless someone has made one that I don't know about).
  24. Yeah, I really hope they keep expanding the game. Something like 100,000 people have bought it already, so that's already $1.5 million (I know some of it goes to steam, but they get most of it). You can make a really good game with that kind of money! I really want to buy this and X Rebirth (not to mention some other games), but unfortunately I'm not made of money and I need to save for college and a car.
  25. Take out all mods that you don't absolutely need. If you keep getting crashes, try removing ELS and using non-els cars. If the crashing still persists, I'd suggest removing all mods (including modded cars) and just run the game with LCPDFR as the only mod.
