  1. Windows Vista, 7 and 8 users Press the Windows key, type Control Panel, and then press Enter. Under the Appearance and Personalization, click Adjust screen resolution. On the middle of the right-hand side of the screen, click the Advanced settings. A new window should appear with your video adapter's properties; similar to the image shown below. Your video card's memory is under the Adapter tab in the Dedicated Video Memory.
  2. Make sure to put the script into the Lcpdfr plugins folder, not the scripts folder. I believe that should relieve the issue. This is an awesome script by the way FinKone.
  3. Try booting into safe mode and doing a virus scan. I recommend malwarebytes for the scan. (Really don't think that is the issue) The problem sounds more like an issue with your ram more than anything. A check you can do is to boot into your computers BIOS setting and see how much ram the computer detects. If the BIOS detects both ram sticks, try moving the ram into a different slot. A UPS is a Universal Power Supply (think of it as a backup generator for a temporary power outage. It allows you to save files and shut your computer down in the case of a power outage versus losing everything when the power goes out. Caps are referring to capacitors. I believe he is referring to the video card capacitors. It would not be a bad idea to look over your motherboard for bad capacitors. (see rss371 post) Power supplies degrade performance as time goes on. Probably a wise idea to keep the new 750 watt PSU. Electronics can be damaged by not getting enough juice to run. As for checking the voltage on PSU and GPU, I'd recommend using Msi Afterburner. Windows updates issue: Windows could freeze, stop, or reboot during the startup process because of damage to a driver, important file(s), or damage to part of the registry. A System Restore will return all of those things to their last working order which could solve your problem entirely. Have you tried to see if the updates would just continue, the updates will not allow you to do anything until they finish. It is not a good idea to try to turn off the computer when it is in the process of updating. This can lead to corrupting important files needed to operate the computer. As for the hardline to the internet, keep using it and remove the wifi card to see if that resolves the issue. The card could be going bad and causing an electrical spike which would cause the crash to protect shorting components.
  4. You need: 1 - Current OpenIV - http://openiv.com/ 2 - 3Ds Max 3 - GIMS Evo for GTA IV - info can be found at http://www.gtaforums.com/ Steps: 1 - Run OpenIV 2 - Extract vehicle model to openFormats 3 - Extract textures 4 - Run 3Ds Max 5 - Start GIMS Evo for GTA IV 6 - Press import button 7 - You should be good to go OpenIV's channel on youtube goes through importing vehicles and map files for Gta IV/EFLC Good Luck!!!
  5. I think R* fixed a few of the bugs that were memory hogs that would steal resources. Then again, it could be a placebo effect. As fir having to uninstall IV to install EFLC is NOT necessary. If you want to place EFLC, install and back up your IV save games. EFLC will play with them in their original location, the issue is when you wish to play IV after playing EFLC. R* coded IV save games to look for the most recent saves and with EFLC installed, IV will say the available downloadable content is unavailable, please start a new game. That is why I recommend to back up your saves. I keep a folder on my desktop with saves so I can easily switch them out depending on the game I wish to play. IV seems to have the most compatibility with mods such as maps, scripts, etc. Eflc has more models and most mods have support for it. I play EFLC the most due to police bike and extra vehicles, but play IV when I want to play around with map mods. I hope this helps.

  7. After you are done using the taser, go ahead and deselect it from your character. Then cycle through your weapons as normal to reselect your pistol. {to select taser alt+t, when done using hit alt+t again. Now select pistol by normal weapon selection process}
  8. You can make different handling lines that work independent of the Stockade handling Lines. Just edit lines in the Vehicle.Ide from STOCK to NSTOCK and PSTOCK. {The 4th value from Left to right} This tells the game to to look for a reference of each individual vehicle and not recycle the Stockade handling line. 10. One idea on the ticket writing would be to use something like Apples magic trackpad to capture signatures and other handwriting for the ticket. Such as when you are in the computer and running the individuals name, have a ticket in pdf format show on screen and proceed using the magic trackpad to fill in name, d.o.b., and the infraction committed. The pdf format ticket could possibly be stored on the users side if they wished and an option to give them a ticket in the computer versus just walking to their window and deciding to issue a ticket or not. Just a thought
  11. An alternative to using express mode is to use a program such as "Xpadder" and associating the J key (primary lights)= left dpad, Shift (pull over)=down dpad, etc. As for the crashing, is it throwing any error codes?
  12. Go to your bootcamp system icon in notifications dock, go to your System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse > Keyboard. Now, directly below the 2 sliders, check the box that says “Use all F1, F2 etc. keys as standard function keys.” After doing so, you may tie the number keys to unused function keys (f1, f2, etc) in the scripts .ini file. You may still access the volume and brightness keys by holding the "fn" key down. This is useful for snt (simple native trainier). As for losing key bindings, the above allows you to use the defaults for Backup in LCPDFR: F9 (in a pursuit) - Authorises pursuing officers to fire at the fleeing suspect. F10 (in a pursuit) - Requests a Police Helicopter with 2-4 officers and a spotlight to follow the fleeing suspect. F11 (in a pursuit) - Requests a special vehicle with 2-4 officers to join the pursuit. F12 (in a pursuit) - Requests a patrol vehicle with 2 officers to join the pursuit. You would still not be able to access Numpad 1 - Makes the character say a random fight speech. Numpad 4 - Makes the character say a random intimidation speech. Numpad 7 - Makes the character say a random chase speech. Numpad / (divide) - Toggles different non-els lightmodes. If you use els enabled vehicles, then Numberpad / would be a non-issue. Otherwise if the above solution doesn't remedy your problem, a work around is an auxiliary keyboard (wired or wireless with Numpad) or a usb Numpad
