How to make ELS Lighting move with the doors
That would be pretty cool. I'm sure if it can be done, people will find a way.

How to make ELS Lighting move with the doors
You'd have to convince Rockstar to add more extras to the game. ELS didn't create the extras, it just uses them for lights. The extras were originally coded into the game by Rockstar to have different variations of the vehicles, convertable / hard top / hood with an air scoop, etc.

Q: Radar and Laser for clocking speeders
Maybe he was just doing paperwork. Just because he's on the side of the road doesn't mean he's running radar. From my observations with my local department, we use handheld laser for the most part. The handheld laser is very precise and has a very long range, and it's equipped with a magnified sight just like a firearm. There is no doubt what car you're aiming at with the type of system we use. The cars here are also equipped with in car mounted front and rear facing radar, which they rarely use when stationary. They'll use it more when they are driving behind a car or someone comes up behind them and passes them. It's not always 100% certain which car it's reading if there is a large volume of traffic, but that's where the officer's training and experience come in. LEO's here are trained at the academy to asses vehicle speed with their eyes, and they have to be correct +/- 5mph to pass that part of the academy, or so I'm told. Plus, common sense takes over; if you're driving 55 mph and your rear facing radar says someone behind you is going 75, it's not that hard to look in the mirror and figure out which car it is.

This is really irritating me.
I experience this issue with GPM's downloads also sometimes. I usually have to close my internet browser and then try again a few minutes later to get it to work. Keep in mind that the download time limiter seems to be a cumulative thing, so you cannot have any other tabs open to downloads on their site either, because if you attempt to download ANYTHING from GPM it will restart their timer.

[REQ] SoundOff Intersectors (Willing to donate)
This is one of the things I've been working on lately. Unfortunately, my testing isn't going so well. These lights are so small when they are the correct size relative to the car, that they look good from up close but when you get farther away you can barely tell that they are flashing. I've got a few ideas and things to try to make them brighter, but I'm also working on some other projects and I'm frankly not very experienced with making new parts from scratch. This is only the second thing I've ever made from scratch, the first was an in car pocket jet printer for a custom center console I'm working on. But the printer was easy compared to a custom piece of lighting equipment. If I can get my intersectors working, I'll let you know. Here's a screenshot of the ones I've built: Here's a video showing the brightness issue up close and far away, from a few tests I did with different size and shape extra lights:

ELS V8 Preview MP testing
I just reconfigured the controls for ELS to use other keys that are not letters. Example, 8, 9, 0 turns on my lights, etc. That way I don't toggle anything when I'm in the computer or typing text chat in game.

Call of Duty loser calls in SWAT team hoax on kid who beat him
To each their own. I respecfully, but whole heartedly disagree with that opinion. Everyone's gaming experience will vary, but I'm not going to highjack this thread to discuss the merits of one game or the other. What matters in this thread is that the idiot that got the police to respond like that will soon find himself on the receiving end of law enforcement attention, I'm sure.

Call of Duty loser calls in SWAT team hoax on kid who beat him
This is why I left CoD for TitanFall. Seriously though, with that much manpower deployed based on the 911 call, they will track down the other kid and he will face charges. No agency likes to be played like that and filing false reports is the fastest way to get them to track you down.

LCPDFR 0.95 Rc2 or LCPDFR 1.0B you are using?
As has been said already, .95 is more stable for multiplayer so far, so that's what I'm still using since I only play multiplayer.

in need of an update
People get fired / laid off / contract not renewed / business shut down / etc all the time, for any number of reasons. I lost a job a few years ago for the first time in my life because my boss decided not to renew my contract and to get out of the business entirely. Completely out of my control and unforeseeable. I went back to waiting tables and doing everything I could to pay my bills and take care of myself until a new job came up. That's what really matters; you have to take care of yourself and set your priorities to do that. I'm sad to hear that Abraxas is having trouble, but he definitely made the right choice to deal with that first and foremost.

What do you drink on patrol?
Water. If I'm feeling like a high roller, I'll indulge in some Cherry Coke, or Dr. Pepper.

[REL] Harris County Sheriff's Office Impala
This model is based on the older Impalas used by the Harris County Sheriff's Office in Houston, TX. I've also included a Liberty County Sheriff's Office livery. This is my first model, so I decided to keep it simple and stick to something I'm familiar with. I've also released it unlocked since all the parts I used to make it are available as unlocked development resources. It's my ultimate goal to learn how to produce excellent quality content, so if anyone with more experience wants to send me a PM with some tips or feedback about what I've done well, and what I've done wrong, I gladly welcome the information. Now that I'm more comfortable with zModeler, I'm also planning to release an updated version in the future with the new Harris County livery and some other unique features. I've also included my custom ELS textures with the download, as well as the default textures if you wish to switch them. My custom textures can be seen in the screen shots and video. Please remember that the custom textures are designed and tested to work on MY computer using MY ENB. I currently run a very high end computer and am using the CryENB available on lcpdfr.com with the preset for high end computers. If you choose to use my custom ELS textures, your experience may vary. Here is a brief video showing an overview of the outside of the car, and my custom ELS textures: Handling by Sgt. ELS Extra 9 Issue
Very interesting indeed. My goal as I'm learning this whole zModeler thing is to actually understand WHY I'm doing what I'm doing, rather than just memorizing the order in which to hit certain buttons. I'm definitely going to have to do some more research on this to figure out what makes 5, 6, and 9 different. In the meantime, that fixed my problem, so thanks again for the help guys!

ELS Extra 9 Issue
Interesting. Do you know of a good tutorial or resource that explains why those extras are special? I don't think I've seen that pointed out or explained in the stuff I've been looking at yet. At this point, I'm guessing the best way to fix my extra 9 is to just create another dummy and add it to the hierarchy? Or is there a better way? Thanks so much for the help!

ELS Extra 9 Issue
I'll look into the glass situation. And thanks for the advice about the miscs. I had considered attaching those things to the chassis for a final release, glad to know that's something that others do. For the time being I've left them separated so I can pull them out to fix any mistakes I find along the way. I had to start over a few times in the beginning because I'm a noob and messed up some stuff so, until I'm certain that everything is correct I decided to leave the pieces separate like that so it's easier for me to fix my mistakes as I learn new things. Thanks, I'll have to give that a try. I guess I need to redo my Extra 7 also to match that? I'm using the CryENB Version 1 that can be found here on LCPDFR. I'm using the preset for an "Ultra End" PC that comes with the download.

ELS Extra 9 Issue
I'm working on my first car release and I've reached an issue I can't figure out how to fix. I'm hoping someone with more experience working with ELS can help me sort this out. I've got a Whelen Avenger in the rear window mapped to flash amber on both lights. I currently have it mapped as Extras 7 and 9 with ELS configured to treat it as an "LED" so that the flash patterns use Extras 7 and 9 like I have it configured. However, when I go in game, Extra 7 (the left light) flashes correctly, but Extra 9 (the right light) doesn't. Extra 9 looks like it's really dim, or tinted. I've included a video below to help explain what I'm seeing, as well as a picture of my hierarchy. At first I thought it was just that I had the extra positioned incorrectly and it was actually inside the Avenger itself, which is why I couldn't see it flashing, but after playing with it for a few hours and trying everything that I can think of, it appears to be in the right place, UV mapped correctly, with the correct material applied. Here's the really confusing part for me. If I go into the hierarchy and simply rename Extra 9 to Extra 8, the light flashes correctly. If I rename it back to Extra 9, it flashes dim again like in the video. The fact that simply renaming it to Extra 8 fixes the problem tells me that the problem lies with it being named Extra 9, I just don't understand why or what to do about it. Here is a screen shot of my hierarchy showing the Avenger (misc_r) and Extras 7 and 9: Here is a short video showing the ELS lights turned on. The problem lies with Extra 9 (the right amber light on the Avenger):
