Whats the Law
I agree. Kids in certain countries nowadays worry about girls at such a young age. In some places, I heard 6 year old girls & boys worrying about dating & flirting. Like WTF man! Wait wait wait, you don't want to have intercourse with her? Just want to hang-out / do stuff? Then this whole thread is pointless (almost), of course you can do that! Why would the Law forbid it? As long as you're not having intercourse, you can hang-out with girls of any age you want. The Law only puts restrictions on the age when intercourse can legally take place, it says nothing about "hanging out" or being/having fun together.

Are We Still Gonna Need ELS When...
I thought GTA:V (consoles) already had the option to toggle lights on but not siren? I've seen in many GTA:V videos that (in some instances) the lights were on but not the siren. I haven't really confirmed with anyone who has GTA:V, but I've seen that a lot on many different videos. Can anyone that plays V confirm this?

Will this run LCPDFR?
Yep, highly suggest building your own PC for ANY type of non-casual gaming. Building your own PC saves you money & gives you much more bang for your buck. If you don't want to build your own, ( I'm not sure where else this is available, but in my country ) there's shops where you can get custom PCs built for you. Either by the parts you tell them to put / give them, or some of them will build you one according to your budget. My old PC was custom built by a shop after I gave them my budget, it ran for a solid 10 years (on the 7th year I just had to change the Graphics card & add a little more RAM, but that's about it) before starting to degrade recently as it neared it's end life span.

You know what I think would be cool about lcpdfr or another mod?
I think it might be able to be done. Don't expect it to be anything like real life tho. The AI will still drive like drunkards, & this might not be as effective in city streets as in the open highway, but.... Since I know there's "driving styles" in GTA:IV, maybe, the primary cop has a aggressive driving style, while other cops are set to follow the primary cop with a more slow, passive style. When the player asks to be primary cop, the primary cop turns into a traffic driving style (the other AI cops still being set to follow previous primary AI cop), thus letting you pass. Then, you can press a (combination of) button(s) to let the script know that you're primary cop now, & then the previous primary AI cop will be set to follow you with the slow, passive style, along with the other cops. It will require quite a bit of coding, but this basic one should be possible I think. Although, I think our coders have more important stuff to do right now that this (more callouts, etc.). But we might see it in the future. EDIT: I'm not really familiar with the different driving styles in GTA:IV since I didn't experiment with it much, but I think there are sufficient styles that should make it possible (slow, traffic laws abiding. Slow, not abiding traffic laws. Fast, not abiding traffic laws, etc. [Traffic laws, ofc being, stopping at red lights, not overtaking, etc.] )

Pursuit AI
Where Ambulances run over 50 people to save 1 person, Police Officers do more crime than the criminals they're trying to apprehend, & the FD doesn't give a shit about fires. On a serious note: In addition to what the other posts said, you can also try not calling a pursuit to Dispatch (not pressing Alt + E when suspect starts running). I think that's why the feature is there, because many people, like myself, hate the AI police & would have more fun chasing the suspect down solo. EDIT: Wow the meme looks so big for being just 400x300, lol.

Regarding LCPDFR.com Clans Section
I think gone for good, although I'm not sure why they removed it anyway. Just wait for a Moderator to verify I guess. (OT: The Stats is still down? I tried it randomly last week & it was down then too. Oh well...)

Issues with Mediafire
True. Nearly 50% of the Mediafire does this to me (MF piece of junk [joking] ). Most of the time I just switch from Firefox to Opera, download the file, then back to Firefox I go!

Are We Still Gonna Need ELS When...
lol, Very true. As for the question, like it's been said, it's still too early to say whether GTA:V will even be moddable or not. ( I wouldn't worry too much tho, our modders are awesome & I'm sure they'll find a way ). If it will become moddable, then I don't see much of a need for ELS to be ported (or made) for GTA:V, since GTA:V vanilla already comes with LED police lights & such. Only thing would be, as said, a mod that allows for more & custom light patterns, & to allow the lights to be in different places than default (more places like near the wheels, mirrors, etc.).

Whats the Law
Are you trying to challenge Barney Stinson to an International pick-up duel? On a serious note, depends on where in Australia you live, For the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Northern Territory, Victoria, & Western Australia, age of consent is 16 years. For Tasmania & South Australia, age of consent is 17 years. Only Queensland makes a distinction b/w different types of activity, for anal, age of consent is 18 years, & for all other, age of consent is 16 years. So, unless you live in Tasmania or South Australia, you should be okay (if you live in Queensland, no anal until you're 18 years old).

GTA IV RESC10 FATAL ERROR
Try lowering your settings, or if they're already low, try what NickieB said. If it still doesn't work, try removing that line & see if GTA starts working again. I've come across that in some other games too sometimes. Put on low settings & game will lag, but push the PC & put higher settings & game will run smooth as butter. It's weird

Super Awesome Video Thingy.
ooh, ooh, this is that .... crap, what was it's name .... ah, ELS Dot Net (if I remembered the name correct). I remember reading a thread about it, basically it looks the same as ELS, & functions & menus are same, but the lights are generated in a different way, allowing vehicles to be damaged while lights are on.

Police1 and Police2 The Same Vehicle
& the vehicles.dat line too.

Police1 and Police2 The Same Vehicle
Yeah, it's much easier & practical to just use the same .wft & .wtd files for both POLICE & POLICE2. One thing, don't forget to change your handling.dat, & vehicles.dat, file lines accordingly (since you're putting the model intended for POLICE in POLICE2, replace POLICE2's lines with POLICE's lines in both handling.dat & vehicles.dat). Also, always make backups, just in case

[HELP] Will LCPDFR/GTA IV run on i3..... [HELP]
Exactly this. SAPD:FR is a whole different game. Just because you can run one, doesn't mean you will be able to run it's successor. Anyway, like I said, if you've already bought the game, install it & try it, although I doubt it'll run smoothly, if it runs at all. If not, then, well, save your bucks to get a good gaming PC (not a laptop, but a PC).

[HELP] Will LCPDFR/GTA IV run on i3..... [HELP]
I doubt you will be able to play GTA:IV without mods (so forget the mods for now). Your laptop does not have an external graphics card (GPU) (nVidia/ATi), it's using Intel's card (your CPU), & considering that your CPU is just a i3, I highly doubt it will be able to keep up with the logical AND graphical load. I would like to ask you if you already bought GTA:IV, or are just inquiring if it can run first before deciding to buy it? If you already have it bought, I would suggest installing it & trying it yourself (although don't expect any kind of medium settings, expect to be running at about 800x600, & all low settings at best, according to my predictions). Also, don't even dream of playing MultiPlayer, no way. I have a laptop containing a i7-2630QM (2GHz, Turbo to 2.8GHz), 6 GB RAM, & a nVidia GT 540M (an external graphics card) (in short, a MUCH more powerful laptop than yours), & I can barely play Multiplayer at very low settings (800x600 resolution, & all low settings), & if there's more that 13 people in the game, I'll start lagging out. On SinglePlayer, I can play 1680x1024, at High Textures, Reflections & Shadows, without mods, & 1280x768 with all low (except 25 View & Detail Distance, & 30 Traffic) on my LCPD:FR 1.0 version. tldr; I highly doubt you can play GTA:IV even on full low settings. If by some mircale the game runs, don't expect to be playing MultiPlayer, only SinglePlayer.

Any1 else notice the 28 days sign next to LCPDFR possible clue ?
I feel so happy & so sad at the same time. I guess my decision to ignore this until the 12th Day was correct. These 10 Days have gone by so quickly! So happy about LCPD:Fr 1.0's release, but I feel sad that this Topic is surely going to die out
-
So this funny thing happened in LCPDFR
I didn't know you could upgrade your PC (Brain) O.o Because, supposedly, when you die, it says your computer (your Brain) is running too slowly If thou art James, then who art I? (who am I?)

I can confirm this. He replies too quick to every support thread, I'm sick of it.

2 Issues
To change the DEFAULT Car Color Slots (the option highlighted in 2nd picture on 1st, OP post. Car Color Slots 1 - 6):- Go to trainer.ini in your GTA:IV folder, Search for "Car Colors Section" (without quotes) Here, you can change the numbers to reflect car colors, c1 = main color, c2 = secondary color, c3 = car wheels color / third color (if available), c4 = car shine color. [These are just off the top of my head, c3 & c4's description might be switched. Try in-game]. Regarding what the numbers mean, Open carcols.ini, located in GTA:IV folder > common > data, In the beginning of the file, there is the color table (this section is the 1st section you see, & before the section that shows which vehicle takes which colors). The car color numbers in SNT correspond to the number in the COMMENTED section of the carcols.ini's color table. For example: In the 1st line of the color table: 10,10,10,-,black # 0 black The number in SNT for this color (black) is 0. Since that is the number in the Commented section ( # 0 black ).

Can I Run Battlefield Play4free on a Acer Aspire 5733 Laptop?
I'll add you, if I ever return to BF:P4F. Kind of bored with it honestly, lol I will admit it's lots of fun though, especially if you have a mate to play with you & you're on voice chat.

Can I Run Battlefield Play4free on a Acer Aspire 5733 Laptop?
This question would be better suited over at the BF:P4F Forums. But to answer it anyway, maybe not. You've got Intel HD Graphics. Which means you don't have an External Graphics card running Graphical tasks. This brings your Gaming ability to very low. The game's got very very low graphical requirements, so I would say download it & try anyway.

ELS vs EVCS
To everyone who doesn't know what EVCS means or what this vote is about. EVCS - Emergency Vehicle Control System - developed by Grady Featherstone, over at GPM - EVCS Topic at GPM. EVCS is a Lighting system, but unlike ELS, it uses the Coronas system instead of the Parts system. Currently it's in Open Beta (with Closed Beta testers too). My vote on-topic: None. Currently EVCS is in Open Beta. So I don't think this is the right time to compare EVCS with ELS. However, if you still want my opinion. Then, ever since EVCS Beta was released I've been using it. Because even though I don't like driving around in a damaged car, I do like that EVCS allows your vehicle to be damaged, & since there's no "constant repairing" of your vehicle, the infamous "door bug" of ELS is non-existent in EVCS. Plus I think the lights look better.
