  1. Yup, I hear ya. The problem is the ambulance tends to run me over everytime, as well as peds on the sidewalk or in the street. What other traffic fix do you guys use with TF? I'm always looking for nice alternatives. Good day, DrDetroit
  2. Don't know why everybody seems to use TrafficFlow...you only get 20-cars and they drive everywhere they can fit. I use to use it until I found TrafficLoad, which loads all cars and bikes, a nice mix of them. I don't see lines of traffic on the beach anymore either...or on certain sidewalks. A much much better alternative if you get tired on seeing the same old 20-cars doing weird things. BTW: I use that same LCSP Tahoe...great vehicle. I lowered it a little so it looks even better. I actually lowered all my police cruisers a little bit so they look a bit more stealthy and mean. Good day, DrDetroit
  3. I cut back on high poly cars, running MemTurbo and cut back to one ELS car. None of my police cruisers are original, but had to cut back to one real nice high poly ELS car in the Noose position, all other cars are non-els low-mid poly cars. Cured all my texture loss. Memturbo really helps big time by clearing/releasing my ram while playing, which takes care of the memory leaks seamlessly and which took care of 90% of my texture popping alone. The remaining 10% was cured by using different cars etc. I only have a 1GB card...but finally have my setup running without texture loss (a teeny-tiny bit when using my ELS high poly car but only a fraction of a second popping of textures when a lot of action going on), running smooth frames (30+ average) and was able to stop the crashing by reverting back to Braveheart 2.1. Now I can pull a full 12-18 hours shift (in-game of course) which is about 2.25 hours of game play (adjusted my in-game time to 7-sec per game minute instead of the default 2-seconds.). Loving it now more than ever! Good day, DrDetroit
  4. Was just thinking that it would be an interesting idea to add a call-out where you're serving felony arrest warrants as well as locating and arresting parole absconders. Go to the last known address, if not there, look for him/her on the streets (police version of Where's Waldo?). You may or may not locate the felon the first time...but eventually he'll show up if you keep an eye out for him. Anyhow, just a thought...or "vision" as I like to call it. Good day, DrDetroit
  5. Yea, and I don't think the trainer is necessary either for a noob. It just messes with my install....I have to turn it on, make my changes, then turn it off and remove the files (I just use bkup at the end of the filename) for it not to cause lag. I just needed it to slow down the game time so my day last longer (7sec per in-game minute is my setting, instead of 2sec). Other than that, it's useless to me. But you do need the tow script, police helper and coroner mod for sure. I use several others, but if I was installing new, that'd be pretty much all I'd use (oh and RTCv4). Good day, DrDetroit
  6. I switched back to Braveheart 2.1. Now I have no crashes at all. Seems Braveheart 2.2 was/is wreaking havoc on some setups. Good day, DrDetroit
  7. Does anybody use Ambient Wars with LCPDFR? Looks like a mod that would go well with policing LC. Good day, DrDetroit
  8. If some cop in a Smart car pulled me over, I'd have to laugh at him right before I hit the gas in my TrailBlazer SS and leave his ass in the dust. Good day, DrDetroit
  9. What the hell! Why would you want that? Haaa haa haa haa!!! Next someone will want one of those goofy two wheeled thing you see in the move Mall Cop. Good day, DrDetroit
  10. Ditto that. When you get a callout with no street name/location, the game will usually crash. If not then, it will crash on the next callout. Good day, DrDetroit
  11. That is some funny stuff! You and your cousin make a great team there, I was laughing my ass off at times. Excellent vid. Good day, DrDetroit
  12. CJ24 is correct. Until I used RTCv4 (Real Time Cycle...not ENB) to enhance my graphics, I had same issues (although very intermittent..not a game killer) until I upped the graphics using the enhancement. I found it counter-intuitive that I would be getting much better FPS, no texture pops, and no crashing once I increased the graphics. Odd but it worked for me. I did lower my water setting to LOW, water still looks good and gained like 10-15FPS. Good day, DrDetroit
  13. I think you have to have dsound, or some equivalent .dll. Not exacty sure, I installed that stuff a while back, but remember having problems due to no dsound in my install. Once I popped that in had no more issues with the game or mods (may have been the mscvr100d.dll file...can't recall...but was one or the other). EDIT: I just checked my install and I disabled dsound, and used xliveless.dll instead as well as the mscvr100d.dll file I had to find in one of the lcpdfr posts. I think that may be your issue, as I had the same problem until I was able to get those files into my install. Good day, DrDetroit
  14. IVDashCam.ini has the keys, located in your scripts folder. Alt+D: Starts/Stops cam. Alt+R: radar on/off. You can move the radar around with numberpad 4, 6, 8, 2 and 5 for default. Good day, DrDetroit
  15. The US is not a police state (yet - NYC is though), so that would not fly here, not to mention it's an intrusion into the lives of law abiding citizens. You are presumed innocent in the US and this would be unreasonable search/seizure, which violates the 4th amendment of the US BIll of Rights. A police database of all citizenry would scare the hell outta me. The cops work for me, I want a database on all cops and government officials so I know where they live, how much they make and what the hell they are doing...what's good for the goose is good for the gander, as they say. Good day, DrDetroit
  16. LOL....my exact sentiment! Good day, DrDetroit
  17. Yea, I doubt the demigogs in the White House would be interested in any realease of GTAV at all (or Hitman, or GTAIV or just about anything with a gun in it). They are trying to ban violent games, guns and soon your liberty; the aftermath of the Conneticuit shooting. As a matter of fact, if you bring GTAV to the attention of the White House, they will definatly put rockstargames in the crosshairs of the heavy hand of government and it will never see the light of day. Good day, DrDetroit
  18. Cool, so it's showing all players, whether playing multiplayer or not. Would be nice if you could jump into a multiplayer as a civillian or cop in a larger open server (not MMO...not that big). That way I join a server as a civilian and go on a massive crime spree, rob a bank then have a shoot out with player controlled cops online - Heat style. Anywho...thanks for the heads up Lt. Good day, DrDetroit
  19. Is the GTA crime monitor showing all player playing LCPDFR or is it just the online server? Kinda neat to see all the activity going on in LC. Side Note: Never played online (only been online in Falcon 4BMS), do I need to join a clan to jump on the server? How's that work? Good day, DrDetroit
  20. It's in the dowaload section somewhere. I've seen it recently. Try GTAiv-mods.com or similar site as well. Good day, DrDetroit
  21. Love the intro too. Very very well done! Can't wait for an episode! Good day, DrDetroit
  22. Command lines will probably just restrict your computer. If you have a decent machine (you do), you don't need that crap. Good day, DrDetroit
  23. Console gaming systems blow! PC is where it's at. Good day, DrDetroit
