2. FirstResponse.ini is located in the Scripts folder within the GTA IV folder.
3. Last I heard, LCPDFR will not work on 1.0.4.0. It will only work on 1.0.7.0.
4. He said Intel HD Graphics. Therefore, he does not. Sadly, without a decent graphics card, you will not be able to run GTA IV. Additionally, I'm not too sure about that processor either, I'm not familiar with it.
5. I was looking for an unmarked car (again...I can never find one I like lol), when I saw this video by our very own NB: This has just about everything that I'm looking for, except that I don't have a clue as to what car it is. So I was thinking that maybe someone here just might know what it is. If so, I would really appreciate it!
6. For peds, you may not have to replace all of the files, only some of them, depending on if its a custom model or not, etc.
7. Its a line in the ELS.ini, somewhere in the options.
8. Ah... I think you may have to disable world events. Go into the .ini, and change the number for the line MaxNumberOfWorldEvents = x to 0.
9. Well, I guess it probably depends on what cars are using ELS. Fact of the matter is, I cannot say for sure that it will crash 0% of the time. There was an update to ELS v6 a few months back however that fixed the major stability issues. As long as you don't mod vehicles that spawn a lot (police, police2, ambulance, firetruck), it should be fine. **EDIT: Not sure about the ambulance and firetruck...It may only be vehicles that LCPDFR uses (the police ones).
10. Is your Noose car ELS-enabled?
11. I've never had to, but for some people it seems they have to, so idk.
12. Make sure you are running LaunchGTAIV.exe as an Administrator, and also check to make sure that your GTA folder is not set to read-only. To do this, right click the Grand Theft Auto IV folder, and hit Properties. Make sure that neither of the two boxes at the bottom of this dialog box are checked.
13. The reason the game didn't start is because you need to download and install Games For Windows Live (GFWL). Just run a Google search. Now, in Point 9, you say it got to the loading screen. Would this be the loading screen that shows what mission you're on? If so, it could be a savegame issue. If you have any saved games, try deleting them. Remember to play the first mission before starting LCPDFR should it work.
14. Sounds like the problem is a corrupt save game. The only way to fix it is to delete the savegames.
15. Okay, what cars specifically are you trying to install? Next, what process exactly are you using to install them? (It would be good if you didn't install them just to tell me how you did it, if you don't remember any part of it, just say so.)
16. It is hard to give an answer to something that we may not know... Maybe the Devs know maybe what could cause the error, but it could also have many different causes. Anyway, don't have both dsound and xliveless in your GTA folder at the same time, as this causes issues. Just try using one or the other. Also, I don't think you answered my question earlier: Is your GTA folder set to read-only?
17. The best setup that I've found to use ELS is to not have the police and police2 cars ELS-enabled. Therefore, only my noose, fbi, and polpatriot are ELS-enabled. I do not experience crashes, as I don't call for backup that uses ELS-enabled vehicles.
18. His RAM should be fine. He just needs to update to 1.0.7.0 and reinstall LCPDFR, as Mage25 stated.
19. He has one where the sidewalks aren't pink. I just did a google search, and found it. Don't remember what the search keywords were though. : \
20. Are you running the game as an administrator, and/or is your GTA 4 folder read-only?
21. Yeah if you want to use ELS, don't use cars in the police and police2 slot that are ELS-enabled. When LCPDFR tries to turn on the lights and siren, it sometimes won't work with ELS, and the game will crash.
22. Hm. With that OS, the maximum amount of RAM you can have is 4GB. So if you want to increase it, thats the limit.
23. Yeah I think you might wanna look into increasing your RAM. What Operating System are you using, and what bit is it? (32-bit or 64-bit) As for the ASI loader; yes it is a must. When installing LCPDFR, it installs one by default (dsound.dll).
