Charlie S40 reacted to Cyan in GTA VI Unable to be ModdedNot sure what you're on about. CodeWalker has made huge strides on the file formats. RDR2 is moddable, work however slowed because there's not a huge amount of community interest (at least compared to GTA). We had our own code running on RDR2 within hours of it being released.
There's a few things that are annoying (like a lot of filenames are hashed instead of being easily accessible) but it's not insurmountable.

Charlie S40 reacted to cherryaerie in Car OptionsThe car pack you installed likely has a fixed livery (in simple terms, no transparent part on the livery to be painted, and/or has data values that prevent it). You can obviously change this by editing the meta flag values.
In regard to your ALPRs, likely chance you need to repair the vehicle after applying the vehicle extra. It's likely extra 10-12, but I am not sure, as it's typically different especially if the vehicle is ELS.

Charlie S40 reacted to OfficerDayton41 in LSPDFR & RAGE Plugin Hook Enhanced and Upcoming Site UpgradesSome updates on how the development is going would be cool at least. A lot of people are anticipating this, and, while I am not trying to put pressure on anybody and I, in all sincerity and seriousness, respect everybody's work, it would be great to have an occasional check-in or simply having a vague statement regarding development & process. Simply posting this and then not dropping anything for a few months isn't good rep.
All the best, regardless.

Charlie S40 reacted to hirig888 in This could be usefull ....So, here is what i think would be good to implement, i scrolled around but didnt see any of this.
My suggestion is, when i use as example, ALPR Lite... and when i get a hit on a car, ex: expired/no registration/ insurance....Ok, i make a traffic stop, but when i asked dispatch this information is not there, this would be really useful to know , to issue or not a citation, or arrest...whatever the case.
All you get is who is registered to, or is or is not stolen...that is it.
Since ALPR is not in sync with this info, many times i get a miss, the car is not reported stolen for a stolen car alert, or the driver is not actually wanted / has no warrant.
I dont want to just go on the ALPR alert to issue a citation, dispatch should have the proper info.
I think this info should be included when asking dispatch, if the car has insurance valid or expired as well as registration....
If there is a mod for this, it is fine, but as i play, want to have minimal mods, and since this is in it should be nice to have it integrated in LSPDFR itself 2 extra infos that you dont get otherwise( without another external plugin or mod?)
Thank you for your time , hope this gets a like.

Charlie S40 reacted to Talibrations007 in I need a GTA 5 Version 3504.0 patchSorry to hijack this thread, but maybe I can help you with rolling back to 3504.0. This is for the Steam version btw. First make sure to make a backup of the files in your GTA V directory especially GTAV.exe, and make sure to go offline on Steam so you won't get the "verify integrity" error message.
Press windows key + run and type in: steam://open/console
Then when the steam console appears, type in: download_depot 50323840 271591 1849782595337955
This will download the previous version's binaries, but you only need the ver. 3504 GTAV.exe. Once you've made sure you made a backup of the new GTAV.exe and set your status to offline, copy the 3504 GTAV.exe from where steam downloaded the depot files to, and paste them in the directory, replacing the new GTAV.exe. You're then good to go.
I made the mistake of not going offline when I started the game after replacing the new GTAV.exe with the old one and it gave me the "verify integrity" error message, luckily I had saved another 3504 GTAV.exe from when the previous update happened, and it worked. Having a backup never hurts.

Charlie S40 reacted to dice313 in Park mode els light patternsI love when folks vehicle mods include a nice park pattern -- one which changes the flash pattern when the player exits their vehicle.
I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for vehicle mods that do this well, as it can be hard to tell from a lot of descriptions.
Also, would love to see one that flashes like this example, but haven't seen anything like this on here yet https://www.instagram.com/reel/C8FjZBsPyIu/?igsh=MTNqOW52Y2N6YWg4YQ==

Charlie S40 reacted to pinx in Two QuestionsInside your project, you have an "AssemblyInfo.cs", there you can change the version of your plugin, or create custom configurations and put the version of your Mod. When publishing your plugin you can communicate with the LSPDFR API and check the most current version with the installed version. I assume that is what you want to know.
Edit: I just realized the post is from February 1st 😭

Charlie S40 reacted to Juan rubio in What is the name of this siren?I believe the siren used is a Whelen Cencom Sapphire. As far as having the siren play when running out of the car there's two ways that i know. 1. Having both ELS and DLS installed will make this feature happen. When i first started playing LSPDFR i unknowingly did this and it gave the siren playing after exiting vehicle effect. However, know that when you activate the siren you will hear dual toned sirens. It gets annoying after a while but if you're into dual tone sirens that alternate just honk your horn and now you'll have dual tone sirens:). The 2. is I believe LSPDFR will auto play the siren if you quick exit the car, however, do not quote me on it since I'm unsure if it'll work. To quick exit you just double tap the button you have bound to exiting (which by default if F on keyboard). I know that there's scripts out there that will purposely cut out the siren after exiting such as ELS siren extender. However for your purposes and what you want I think that trying these two methods will be your best bet.

Charlie S40 reacted to Cyan in 400-500 dollar laptop or PC budget for lspdfrIt'll play GTA V, which is a very old game, but it's not future proofed at all. It'll struggle with more modern ones.
I agree with MathVC that LSPDFR might struggle, Intel's i3/i5/i7 is not very clear, but an old i7 can be worse than a modern i3. The Intel Quad Core i7-3770 isn't terrible, but it's certainly an aged chip at this point. The GT 1030 2GB is fairly terrible now.

Charlie S40 reacted to mnbvm in 400-500 dollar laptop or PC budget for lspdfrIt's kind of hard to tell since apparently the listing doesn't show what i7 it is. It should be more than sufficient for GTA V, assuming it's a modern generation. The GT 1030 is capable of running GTA V but may struggle at higher settings or resolutions. It’s better suited for low-to-medium settings at 1080p.
If you use high settings, it might dip below 30FPS depending on the scene complexity. I think LSPDFR will struggle a bit.

Charlie S40 reacted to xhermes1337 in Will This Laptop run LSPDFR?Of course! GTA V requirements for other times are ridiculous. Look, this laptop has an RTX 3050 Ti which has 8GB and GTAV needs a GTX 660 2GB so when it comes to graphics card issues it's 1-0 for the laptop😁. Okay, so the processor of this laptop has Ryzen 7, unfortunately, it does not write exactly what, but GTAV needs Intel Core i5 3470 which is rather unequal to any Ryzen 7, 2-0 for a laptop. Okay, now it's time for ram, the laptop has 8GB seems to be little but it's enough for GTA5, just to remind you that the requirements are created on components from 2013 and the laptop has the latest, in 2013 there was no DDR5 only DDR4. So the answer, will GTAV play well? Just delicious! Or in LSPDFR? Also amazing, I know that LSPDFR loads the computer but not so much that suddenly, for example, from 100 fps to 30 fps. So it is a very good laptop to play other games as well. Happy catching criminals Sheriff!🚨

Charlie S40 reacted to JohnBart in Other Law Enforcement GamesThe creators of "American Fugitive" will release a police game on August 15 titled The Precinct. Similarly to their previous game, it has a GTA: Chinatown Wars-like perspective, and will apparently offer a nice mixture of everyday policing, 1980s crime drama spectacles (in the vein of Hill Street Blues), and a main revenge story plotline, all packed into an open-world city with procedurally generated callouts and traffic. Here's the release date trailer, if you are interested.
Apart from The Precinct (which I'm personally really looking forward to playing), there's not much to choose from in the genre, unfortunately. Ready or Not is a great title, but focuses exclusively on SWAT engagements, while all the other police games I know about are typically budget titles with plenty of compromises to accept. Police Simulator: Patrol Officers is certainly a relaxing, if mundane depiction of US policing (with no high-risk callouts at all, so you cannot even justifiably discharge your pistol in that game). Police Simulator: Patrol Duty (the predecessor of Patrol Officers) also offers shootouts as well, but is a pretty buggy and barebones title. The Autobahn Police Simulator series is known to be a technical trainwreck and focusing solely on German highway patrol duties, while Enforcer: Police Crime Action is a diverse, if bare and buggy attempt in portraying small-town US policing.
Frankly, when it comes to enjoyable US policing sandboxes, LSPD:FR is the best choice we've got, provided that you can set up the mod for your liking, and are not afraid of GTA: Online content updates... 😉

Charlie S40 reacted to WillowElite in Will my pc run lspdfrHello Robis, if you want to get decent fps i recommend that you turn down your graphics settings to medium/low. Also it depends if your running any modded vehicles. Also it can depend on your CPU as well, as LSPDFR is quite CPU demanding. If u dont have many plugins like you have stated you will be able to play lspdfr at a decent 40 to 60 fps however i am not 100% sure on how well the card runs this. I previously owned a r9 280 3gb and that ran quite well with a lot of modded vehicles and plugins with my graphic settings on low i averaged about 30/40, now i own a gtx 1060 6gb where that runs lspdfr very well with all the mods and plugins (Soon upgrading to a 3060).

I think something that happens a lot in real life is drunk drivers getting 911 calls on them. Maybe call about drunk driver, tip off for large drug trafficking car, drunk person sleeping in car in parking lot or on highway, I play in snow a lot, so cars stuck in the ditch would be realistic. Thanks for your work!
-
Domestic callouts are a type I will never touch, seen enough of that stuff IRL to ever want to bring it into a game.
-
Charlie S40 got a reaction from SuperPyroManiac in What kind of callouts would you like to see?I like the assist or support another officer calls. I also like the speeding or reckless driving stuff. Run of the mill complaints, suspicious person calls and so on. I also like Lance's idea with the unknown situation calls.

Charlie S40 reacted to Sam in LSPDFR 0.4.9 - Updated for Los Santos TunersWe've released a minor compatibility update for LSPDFR 0.49 (Build 7871) which adds compatibility for the new version of GTA V (v2372) - Los Santos Tuners.
There are no changes in this version other than those necessary to make the mod work on the new game version, although we may release another update in the near future to expand upon this.
Please report any issues or bugs with LSPDFR on the new game version, if you find any, on the support forums. As we want to get the mod in your hands as quickly as possible after a game update, we often don't have as much time as we'd like to fully test things through.
Note that the new version of the RAGE Plugin Hook which is required for LSPDFR to work on the Los Santos Tuners update is included with the new LSPDFR download. The RAGE Plugin Hook website has not yet been updated, so you should not download the RAGE Plugin Hook from there but instead use the included version with LSPDFR.
Please ensure that you now update your game to the latest version of GTA V before playing this new version of LSPDFR 0.4.9, which you can find as normal on the main LSPDFR page.
If you are having problems with LSPDFR 0.4.9, please do not post about them in this topic, but use the support forums instead.
Before you do, though, read through this topic: https://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/89691-read-will-save-your-time-common-issues-fixes-and-bugs
There are a lot of fixes for common problems in there.
