LukeD's post in Player acting as AI (?) was marked as the answerThat's a problem with my plugin that I already know about. I'm fixing it soon.
The problem is the barrier recognises the player as a ped when in a vehicle and so sets the task to the same as the rest of the AI. All I need to do is block it from interacting with the player.

LukeD's post in Open car-boot while doing a stop? was marked as the answerHi,
It is still entirely possible to search the boot/trunk of most vehicles. to do so simply walk up the the rear end of the vehicle and press "E".
The feature does not always work and on some vehicles it appears impossible to search the boot/trunk.
My advice is just mash "E" a few times and see if anything happens :)

LukeD's post in GTA IV Crash on Load up [8/18/14 was marked as the answerMODERATOR NOTICE
Moved topic from Development Tutorials and Questions to GTA IV Support Requests, the OP is not clear as to what mod is causing the issue.
Without you further clarifying it is unclear as to what mod is causing this issue. Please can you post any error logs you have.
I can't help but notice you are using a laptop with no dedicated graphics chip. My advice would be to drop your GTA IV settings to the lowest possible and remove ALL of your mods to ensure your laptop can actually handle GTA IV on it's own. If it can, then try installing 1 mod at a time starting with LCPDFR.
I would also highly recommend not using ELS or any ELS enabled vehicle mods as these require more resources, especially those that are typically provided by dedicated graphics.

LukeD's post in iCE 3.0 Texture Issues was marked as the answerI agree, it's pretty naff the lightbars being clear.
I used to never touch it but this website I found is so bloody helpful
http://gtabay.cba.pl/index_dokumentacja_gta4_en.htm
Takes each line and tries to explain what it does.
I'll have a mess with mine and see if I can find a fix for you, cause I don't mind breaking everything and starting again :)
EDIT:
Found a fix for the light bars and it may also fix the glass surrounds for the rear lights on your cars.
Open enbseries.ini
Scroll down to [CARWINDOWGLASS]
You should see a value called "OpacityMultiplier" and it is default set to 0.05 I think. If you tweak this to a higher value (between 0 and 1) you will get more glass colour from the textures defined rather than no colour at all.
I set mine to 1.0:

LukeD's post in Wouters Callouts Error was marked as the answerHi,
The LCPDFR error I see you get is the following:
Error while processing script: AmbientScenarioManager: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
This is a pretty generic issue with 1.0c, doing a simple reloadscripts will subdue the issue.
As for the WoutersCallouts errors, You'll need to take them to the WIP thread for that plugin, sadly he has obfuscated his code with values we can't read. Only he can help you.

LukeD's post in Pursuit Crashing was marked as the answerRight, there is no crash being recorded in either the LCPDFR.log or the ScriptHookDotNet log which means it isn't likely to be an issue with LCPDFR itself. I would recommend start fresh with a clean install of GTA IV and then only install LCPDFR 1.0c and see if that fixes the issue.
-
LukeD's post in GTAIV has stopped to working was marked as the answerNo the problem is your particular set up. ELS V8 works fine for many people, you may have not set up the configuration correctly. If you wish to use ELS V8 I would highly recommend getting a clean installation of GTA IV with LCPDFR 1.0c. And then following the installation instructions very very carefully (be sure to make backups).

LukeD's post in Random cop cars not despawning was marked as the answerRight ok. It could be an issue with one of those mods then, so try it without a couple of them.
Also, you could help to reduce the chance it occurs by lowering the number of police vehicles that start out in pursuits and the number of cops allowed (this can be found in the .ini file)
This wont reduce the number of random AI units that join but it may help clear the LCPDFR spawned ones.

LukeD's post in Can someone tell what this is and what problem caused this. was marked as the answerYour issue is that you are aiming at a particular ped and trying to set it as owned by LCPDFR. (for example aiming at a cop and pressing G to make them your partner)
However, that ped you aimed at already has an owner and so the script has failed.
Doing what Couth has said below may help fix the issue but is not guaranteed to fix it, the aiming manager can crash if you give it instructions to a ped that cannot receive instructions, especially if that ped is owned by another script.
If you are using other mods, remove them and see if that same error occurs. If it doesn't, reinstall each mod 1 at a time and try again.

LukeD's post in Simple Question was marked as the answerGenerally speaking the high poly vehicles have larger file sizes, so if you compare 2 different models of CVPI's for example, the one with the larger file size will be a higher poly model (more details etc)
The other way is to load the .WTF file for the model into OpenIV. In the top left corner you can see the number of polygons.
For example the default police cruiser is 13,094 polygons. But a model CVPI I have in my folder is 171,187 polygons.
Default Vapid Cruiser
CVPI
Hope this helps

LukeD's post in Error when starting game was marked as the answerYes but be sure to only get the 86x version (32 bit) and not the 64x version.

LukeD's post in Game Crashes When I Call in Pursuit was marked as the answerNo, that is a warning. Not an error.
Please post your error logs.
You may or may not be having the same problem, for future reference can you make your own thread please, it makes it far easier for those providing support to keep track of who has what issue. Thanks :)
As you have already replied here I will do my best to answer questions.
JackICe you have this error in your logs
Error while initializing plugin: Callouts+: Must specify valid information for parsing in the string. at System.Enum.TryParseEnum(Type enumType, String value, Boolean ignoreCase, EnumResult& parseResult) at System.Enum.Parse(Type enumType, String value, Boolean ignoreCase) at System.Enum.Parse(Type enumType, String value) at CalloutsPlus.CalloutsPlusMain.Initialize() at freval_10.eval_fr0() You are using the latest version of Callouts+ with LCPDFR 1.0b. If you go back to the WIP thread for Callouts+ you will see I am already well aware of the crashes being caused by the plugin. These are not my fault, for some reason plugins don't like working with 1.0b. My advice is to revert back to version 0.2a of Callouts+ or wait until LCPDFR receives a new patch. -
LukeD's post in Can't Play Multiplayer was marked as the answerHi,
LCPDFR does not officially support multiplayer, it is extremely glitchy and crashes quite often. Version 1.0 of LCPDFR is much more resource demanding than the legacy versions (0.95) and so is even more unreliable for multiplayer.
I went through each of your error logs, there is no crash being caused by LCPDFR. I can see you are using ELS however.
My advice is to only run LCPDFR if you wish to try multiplayer, however I cannot provide any further support with multiplayer, purely because LCPDFR does not support it itself, and I never play multiplayer.

LukeD's post in LCPD:FR 1.0b "Error in script LCPDFR_Loader.Loader!" was marked as the answerYes you need to install the C++ 2012 (86x not 64x)
As for the ASI loader, yes you only need one of those. Also be sure you have either dsound.dll OR xlive.dll (not both)
-
LukeD's post in Error in script LCPDFR_Loading.Loading was marked as the answerCould not load file or assembly 'AdvancedHook.dll' or one of its dependencies.
You're missing a dependency. Use the diagnostics tool packaged with 1.0b to check your installation, it will tell you what is missing.

LukeD's post in Special problem with version of LCDPFR [ENG/POL] (Re-post) was marked as the answerDid you download and install both the 2010 redist and the 2012 redist (only the 86x versions)?
-
LukeD's post in Authentication: Failed to authenticate was marked as the answerAgain the logging in thing doesn't affect the mod other than for crime stats recording (which has been disabled for a while) and for using your name in the game.
When you load GTA IV, you press ALT + P to initiate the mod. Then you go to a police station and walk into the end office, into the marker and become a cop. Alternatively yes you can just type 'forceduty'. I do that cause I'm lazy and have to utilize my time testing things rather than driving to a police station :P

LukeD's post in Crashing when I want to call out a putsuit was marked as the answerHi,
The only crash I can see which is recent is one in which you get an unfound method. When you installed 1.0b did you make absolutely sure to remove all previous versions of LCPDFR and install only 1.0b?
1.0b includes all the latest patches within the installer itself so you don't need to install 1.0 then 1.0a then 1.0b, you only install 1.0b.
-
LukeD's post in Box Appears When Pressing ALT-Key was marked as the answerHi, that little white square that appears is a feature within the mod itself.
It is primarily used as an indication of the position in which you can instruct a partner to go to.
For example holding ALT and aiming the square at the middle of the road and then pressing the necessary hotkey will tell your partner to go to that location.
So no I don't believe it can be disabled.

LukeD's post in Backup Cars not leaving was marked as the answerHi,
This isn't a bug, I'm sure everyone gets this.
The "problem" is that once the callout you are dealing with has fully ended in the script, the police are detached from the script meaning they return to being standard GTA IV AI.
GTA IV AI will derp, a lot. So they may walk off, they may find a car and try to leave by crashing into every other object. Kill a few people. Not a lot you can do because the AI is hard coded.

LukeD's post in LCPDFR Will NOT load! was marked as the answerHi,
If you go to this guide '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>
Follow the steps in chapter 1, you might be missing a required file.
-
LukeD's post in Install and running issue was marked as the answerOk well, go to the guide again, and install the dependencies listed in chapter 3 '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>
You only want the 86x versions of the 2010 and 2012 C++ redists, not the 64x ones.
-
LukeD's post in LCPDFR 1.0b Crashes GTA IV was marked as the answerCould not load type 'System.Runtime.CompilerServices.ExtensionAttribute' from assembly 'mscorlib, Version=4.0.0.0
You're missing the .net framework 4.5. Go download and install it (again links are in chapter 3 of the guide I mentioned)
'?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

LukeD's post in Trouble using LCPDFR was marked as the answerYes there is, although not all of them just the main ones.

LukeD's post in EFLC cant run with Dsound.dll was marked as the answerThere have been a few reports of issues with the RGSC logins and playing with GFWL. To be honest with you I would recommend using xlive.dll if that works, yes ok that means not being able to play LCPDFR online, but if you intend to use other mods at all playing online will cause you more problems than it's worth.
