Everytime I install LCPDFR it cause GTA to crash before it even starts. I have tried installing it multiple times and many different ways but I always get the error "Grand Theft Auto IV has stopped working." If you read chapter 1 of this guide '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> you will get a nice detailed walkthrough of how to use the diagnostics tool, run that and see what problems occur.

The diagnostic tool doesn't work for me, it says it has stopped working. Sorry I forgot to say that in the OP.

Have you tried running it as administrator, and checked that the microsoft api pack ile thing is inside the LCPDFR folder as well?

In that case then definitely do a reinstall of LCPDFR to ensure it is all in correctly, that sometimes fixes the "not working" issue with the diagnostics tool.

 

If it doesn't go through that guide and check you have everything mentioned in chapter 3 and see if it runs then.

You're missing the .net framework 4.5. Go download and install it (again links are in chapter 3 of the guide I mentioned)
