YobB1n reacted to oroborus04 in Anyone else miss Traffic Policer?@UnknownBastion I believe there's a chance percentage for a person you pull over to be under the influence, however they don't drive any different than normal person unfortunately 😞
@Yasd Do you happen to know if the updated plugins are stable??? If so that'd be great.

Switching option "Main.DisableMultiplayerMap" to true in lspdfr.ini solved the problem.

YobB1n reacted to Lennyy in All ModdersSome plugins offer a setting in their ini where you can turn off the automatic code 4. Might be worth checking if the plugins you’re using have that. Other than that, good suggestion.

YobB1n reacted to UnknownBastion in LSPDFR 0.5.0This has been covered before. It's kinda hard to fix this when GTA V's ai is braindead to begin with.
The only thing I can think of is something similar to that mimic feature that Albo1125 had in order to force the cars over even more by following you.

YobB1n reacted to trainguy gaming in LSPDFR 0.5.0I love LSPDFR I play it religiously, I can't play GTAV without LSPDFR. I make YouTube videos of LSPDFR. Best mod there is for GTAV! I was wondering if there will be a LSPDFR v0.5.0 soon or are the updates just going to be compatible updates for GTAV updates?
-
YobB1n reacted to Cyan in LSPDFR 0.5.0There is a new version of LSPDFR in the works, the compatibility updates are based on the maintenance branch.
What specifically would you like to see in a LSPDFR 0.5?

Hello everyone,
I hope you're having a fantastic springtime and looking forward to the summer!
It's been a long time since we've posted a website roundup update, but there's a few changes we're really excited to let you know about. Some of these changes you may have already seen, some will definitely be new.
File Tagging System Rollout
We've started Phase 1 of our file tagging system rollout. This update went live today and additionally we've spent some time tagging the first few pages of Vehicle Models to introduce you to it.
A look at some files with new tags, different tag types are distinctively coloured.
One of the reasons we have not used the built-in tagging system that comes with the software we are using is because it lacks a lot of features a community our size needs. The new home-grown solution combines the tagging solution that comes with our software natively, but extends it with many features:
The ability for our moderation staff to manage tags Tag "categories" with distinctive features, for example; Vehicle Brands, Vehicle Year, System Tags Ability for us to easily see tag use Ability for members to easily navigate tags Ability for authors to find the tags they want to apply easily, and with tag categories, ensure they're picking the correct tags. System and gated tags. For example, the tags fivem and lml will be automatically applied to files and cannot be applied manually. Certain tags can also be gated as author-only, or site-staff only for future expansion. We have started the system today with some vehicle-specific tags (Vehicle Brand, Vehicle Year and Vehicle Country). More tags and tag categories will come as we move into the other phases of this new tagging system.
If you've got any feedback on what tags and tag categories we could further add, feel free to leave feedback on this post.
Here's a small list of what we're working on for future updates:
Community and reputation based tagging (users can tag old files to help tag files which are never going to be updated) A new part of the site where you can see all tags on a certain page, and sort by their uses. Automatic tagging based on image analysis and OCR. A page where anyone can recommend tags (and perhaps tag categories) which can be voted on. Making it easier to tag files, by not allowing arbitary input into the tag box.
Using the new downloads tag page to find tags that have files you're interested in.
Authors, you can get started today tagging your files, just hit the 'Add Tag' button next to your file title.
Tagging is always optional, but helps users find your file in the sea of uploads.

A short video showing how to tag files.
AI alt-text and Image Precheck
We now automatically generate an alt-text for all images uploaded. You can see these on image attachments on the forum, as well as file screenshots. These will help discovery both via LCPDFR.com site search (these tags are now inserted into our search index) and Google as well as aid to make the site a bit more accessible.
Along with this, images are now checked via our Image Precheck system for compliance with our Community Guidelines. Images which may not be in compliance with our Community Guidelines may be held for approval or rejected. We hope this keeps the community safer.
Speed & Performance
We fixed two major causes of latency for logged in users over the past few weeks. Both of these were caused by bad database queries.
We've shaved off around ~4s worst case of viewing the LCPDFR.com homepage, and around ~1.5s worst case of latency per file listing.
Thank you to the ULSS Discord Server for bringing this to my attention (specifically @SuperPyroManiac).
Other Fixes & Changes
Introduced WebAuthn 2FA support. While this is going to be used mostly internally for securing administrative accounts, this option is also available to all users. Show a warning when using colors in the website editor, reminding users of the different themes. LSPDFR Sync no longer shows deactivated members' characters. Fixed an issue with recording and displaying file checksums on the post-download page. Fixed file embeds from rendering an entire page on error. Fixed an issue IPS refuses to fix, correctly lazyloaded content between paginations. Added a game filter to user download special pages. Fixed an issue with file comments/reviews being removed from the search index. Guest views now correctly increment content view counts. ...And numerous other backend changes that would be too expansive to list.

YobB1n reacted to Cyan in Will LSPDFR receive updates after the release of GTA6?It's hard to answer this question with any certainty, but we are a small team, and it's likely all efforts will be focussed on GTA 6.
LCPDFR for example entered maintenance mode, as practically all the community demand turned to GTA 5. LCPDFR however was made open source, so people are free to make their own updates for it.
Who knows if a similar situation would play out for GTA 6 & 5.
GTA 6 will be a breath of fresh air for all involved, so I do think the majority of community effort will turn towards it quickly. We've had GTA 5 for a very long time at this point.

YobB1n got a reaction from Niko099 in Military Police modLittle bit late, but I just started working on a full Military Police Mod for LSPDFR. It'll include an agency, callouts, backup, stations, and more! Planning on making it EUP and UltimateBackup compatible. It's in the early stages and I still have another plugin I have to finish first, but it's on the way! So far the Fort Zancudo Police Station, Backup Units, and Military Police Ped's are done, but there's a lot more to do lol. You had to wait a long time but it looks like it's starting to take shape! 🙂

YobB1n reacted to Echooo in Suggestions for community plugin developersI wouldn't say complicated, id say it's more time consuming than anything personally. But I do have a callout pack in development that will be detailed, unique, and realistic. It's just going to take time to make.
-
YobB1n reacted to Osler. in Suggestions for community plugin developersI think we have seen enough very good plugins that have worked very well for the lspdfr game, but what has failed the most are the callouts, I have not really seen very good callouts and most of them are always outdated, give errors, crash, very few calls or are unrealistic, actually most of the calls I have seen bring very monotonous calls like a hijacked bus or a dude with a rifle attacks for no reason, I would like to see callouts that have a previous story with a good roleplay development, although I guess it must be very complicated the development of these callouts.

General Guidelines For Using This Forum
Please adhere to these where possible, as they will help to keep the forum clean and useable. Remember that your posts act as information sources to users as well, not just means to get help.
• Make use of title tags: [Solved] [Resource] [Guide] [Request] etc (I would recommend putting these at the start of your title)
• Make sure your titles are crystal clear, not single words. Remember users may search for similar issues, you wouldn't search Google for "help" and hope one of the 4,890,000,000 results is the one you need.
• Always put your log files either as an attachment or copied into a spoiler, similarly code snippets should be placed inside the code tags
Suggesting Content For This Hub Thread
If you have any suggestions for threads, resources or useful links that you think deserve to be highlighted in this thread please PM myself (LukeD) with your suggestion. Make sure you title your PM "API Dev Forum Idea" or similar so I can keep track of them. Alternatively you can direct message or tag me on the discord server mentioned above, please note I only respond to this on desktop however, so replies may be slow.
If you want to send me resources, be considerate of user safety and concerns regarding links.
• Don't post advertising or shortened URL's, I want a full link to the resource that I can read.
• Do give me a brief description of what you're sending, not just "hey this is useful".
• Do provide reasons for why you think it's needed in the hub thread. The more you justify it the better.
In cases where you link a post or thread to me, I will parse that post for direct links. If I can avoid bouncing users around the forum I will. For example the discord server link above was taken out of Stealth22's post. Posts may then be subject to removal if necessary.
I will credit all links where applicable, all I'm doing is concatenating the information into one thread, credits are deserved for those providing the resources or guides.
This hub thread is an attempt at cutting down the increasing number of pinned threads. Please don't ask for threads to be pinned in this forum section. Only critical, need to know information will be pinned. After a while it will then be moved to this hub when it is no longer critical, but still useful.
This forum section is subject to moderation as per usual. Any thread that is linked in this hub however, will be exempt from the necro posting rules. As they will be acting as pinned threads (which are already exempt).

YobB1n reacted to Mizar in [Plugin suggestion] Unsuccessfull TaserOn the bodycams videos you may see that taser doesn't affect the suspect and doesn't stop them from running or attacking. In GTA V it always works which can be boring after time, so I come up with a idea for plugin that would allow the game to have a chance for taser to not work as it should.

YobB1n reacted to Albo1125 in Guide to using the LSPDFR API and DocumentationAs per popular request, I've fully explained how to properly create LSPDFR API plugins and the entire thought process behind it. I've also included an example project that I will elaborately discuss in the PDF file, along with some development tips.
There is also an entire appendix documenting the available LSPDFR API functions and their use.
Enjoy!
If you're new, I recommend following the PDF guide first and checking your results against the finished project afterwards for maximum effectiveness.

YobB1n reacted to Reddington in Game Crash When Entering Specific Vehicles. Not a problem. 🙂
In my experience, crashing while entering a vehicle/unable to enter a vehicle is a result of one of two things
1) Modified vehiclelayouts.meta
2) A particular vehicle not liking the vehicles.meta line it was assigned. I think this happens with SUVs, Trucks and bigger vehicles that might need a meta line base that is from an SUV, like fbi2 or sheriff2.
Double check the sheriff2 meta and just make sure everything looks right. If it does, delete and re-add the sheriff 2 meta line, this time using a different meta line that works, like fbi2.

YobB1n reacted to LMS in LSPDFR 0.4.8 API UpdateLSPDFR 0.4.8 introduces a few changes to how plugins work and also add many new features.
Plugins
Plugin loading has been changed significantly:
For the lifetime of LSPDFR (so until plugins are reloaded via RPH), all user plugins are only ever loaded (as in constructed) once and not loaded again when going off duty and going on duty again. This is because many plugins currently remain as "zombie" plugins when going off duty and are still receiving events.
To prevent plugins from registering the same event multiple times in Initialize when it is not freed beforehand, Initialize is now only ever called once when the plugin is first loaded. When the player goes off duty and then on duty again, it is not called again. Instead, a new method InitializeAgain is made available which can be used for stuff that needs to be done every time the plugin is activated. This method then assumes that events are properly freed in Finally so that multiple references are avoided. We've also added a default assembly resolve handler so that you do not necessarily need to include one with your mod for simple cases.
Callouts
We've added a CalloutCreationSource property to callouts describing the origin of the callout. In addition, you can now specify an additional advisory message for your callouts (see screenshot below) via CalloutAdvisory. Issues with the minimum and maximum distance for callouts have also been fixed.
New API functions
There are many new API functions in 0.4.8, please find the full list below:
DisplayPedId DisplayVehicleRecord GetPlayerRadioAction IsCopBusy IsPursuitCalledIn PlayPlayerRadioAction RemovePedFromPullover RequestBackup overload to specify number of occupants SetCopIgnoreAmbientCombatControl SetPedAsArrested SetPedAsIdentified SetPlayerRadioAction SetPlayerWalkStyle SetPursuitAsCalledIn StartPulloverOnParkedVehicle

YobB1n reacted to Will in Crashing after latest LSPDFR install...That's unrelated.
It seems the plugin attempts to check if the suspect has been arrested after the suspect has been deleted. I also noticed in the log that you died just before the crash, likely leading to the deletion of the suspect.
I recommend sending this info and the log to the creator of YobinCallouts.

YobB1n reacted to NickieB in Just Stopping To Say HiHello all,
Just figured I'd stop in and say hi. Most of you probably don't even know who I am (or was). Congrats to Sam and the crew on such a successful mod, you guys are killing it. I can't believe how many people stream LSPDFR now and how popular it is. Its nice to see too that people are still converting and using my mods from GTA:IV. Its crazy after all these years its still going. I do miss this from time to time, but I'm out here doing this in the real world now. I hope you all are doing well! Stay safe out there.
PS: To all who have messaged me asking, YES, USE MY MODS, convert them to GTA: V (just credit me). That's what they are there for!
