Ahmed4696 got a reaction from 340 in Grand Theft Auto V Legacy Exited UnexpectedlySame boat as you. I used to run LSPDFR a lot and could fix just about anything, but I’m rusty now.
Anyway, I recently came back to it and ran into a similar issue—GTA V updated automatically, and suddenly nothing would launch. I had a ton of stuff packed into my mods/update folder that I didn’t want to lose. I tried bringing all my old modded files back (like common/data, dlclist.xml, etc.), but the game would crash on the loading screen every time. No error, just a hard shutdown.
What I ended up doing:
I copied the full, clean, updated update folder from the game directory into the mods folder to replace the old one.
Then I downloaded and reinstalled most of my previous mods—NaturalVision R, AI behavior mods, gameconfig, visualsettings.dat, etc. I avoided dragging over old files wholesale—almost every one of them was crashing the game, probably due to version mismatch or broken references after the update, I don't know.
The only old file that didn’t break anything was my visualsettings.dat, oddly enough.
So yeah, unfortunately, I couldn’t salvage most of my old setup. Reinstalling fresh was faster than testing a hundred files one by one. It also helped because a lot of older mods are broken now or need updates anyway. Just my take—but I get not wanting to start from scratch; I didn't; I spent two days trying to figure out the broken files one by one before giving up!
P.S. After replacing the update folder in the mods directory, I still had all my old DLC add-on vehicle packs in place. Once the gameconfig and core mods were back in, I could finally edit the dlclist.xml again without crashes. I added back all the lines for my custom police cars/addon DLC pack, and everything loaded fine—got all my old vehicles working again.

Ahmed4696 reacted to Lennyy in LSPDFR crashing when going on dutyAs for the SHV error:
Delete the AdvancedHookV dll file from your main directory. Go to the ELS download page and download the advanced hook file that’s separate to the ELS download.
As for your RPH log:
Delete PoliceSmartRadio and Traffic Policer, update Deadly weapons and super callouts. Install PyroCommon (comes with SuperCallouts) and Newtonsoft.json (comes with ransom ambience).

Ahmed4696 got a reaction from SusAmogus in Can't arrest suspects after a pursuit, and take arrested suspects in a carI'm not 100% sure about your issue, but I am guessing is that you might need additional plugins for the game. Regarding the first problem: In order to place the suspect in the back of your vehicle and transport them, you'd need to grab the suspect yourself and transport them to the vehicle. For this, you should probably download STOPTHEPED. This plugin simply allows more functionality and enhances your experience in LSPDFR. After downloading, you can review the major keys/controls via stoptheped configuration file located in Plugins/LSPDFR of your GTA V directory. I believe this should also help with your second issue as well. Let me know if this helps! You can also look at this website for additional plugins you might want/need.

Ahmed4696 got a reaction from SwitchedDreams in ELS lighting: Blue and YellowEver since I installed Natural Vision and Visual V, my lights became blue and yellow. So then I tried fixing it by installing the "very bright" visual settings of Radiance as I had just bright before. Doing this made the lights change only at evening and night but not during the day. The lights were still blue and yellow during daytime and normal at evening. And at night, the lights become extremely bright. Anyone got a fix for this?

Ahmed4696 reacted to AngryKoi in LSPDFR crashing after updating bejoijo pluginsI replaced ragenativeUI again and it works fine now 🤦♂️ It's strange because I copied everything in the update folder including ragenativeui like 3 times. Now looking the log file I saw this again
LSPD First Response: Could not load file or assembly 'RAGENativeUI, Version=1.6.3.0 I took the file again from my backup folder and it worked. Tried with the one provided in the update folder and it crashes again for some reason.
Anyway, thanks for the help dude. Helped alot 🙂

Ahmed4696 got a reaction from AngryKoi in LSPDFR crashing after updating bejoijo pluginsAlright I am not an expert but lets try something. To confirm, you were able to go on duty like did you try pulling people over? After reviewing your log file, it seems to me as if you were never able to go on duty. So, go ahead and disable your Plugins folder by renaming it _Plugins
Once disabled, try loading in to GTA/LSPDFR, go on duty, and see if it is working; see if you can pull people over (or any other police "task") to make sure you are on duty. If the game does not crash, it likely means you have faulty plugins/callouts. Let me know what happens after disabling the Plugins folder and we will go from there!

Ahmed4696 reacted to Rich in LSPDFR COMMUNITY IS DYING-Most issues in the support forum could be solved by simply following installation directions or searching for other topics that have been made for the same problem and reading the solutions in those threads.
Just because there isn't enough support doesn't mean the community is dying. It's nobody's job to solve your problems. There are discord servers you can join to potentially receive faster support.
Perhaps you could make an effort to learn about the common issues people experience and begin providing support yourself. The people who currently provide support weren't just born with the knowledge.
Honestly, the sense of entitlement is what will kill the community.

Ahmed4696 got a reaction from PraiseTheSun492 in Horrible FPSAlmost every single one of plugin created by Albo cause fps drop but they are also the best if you want to actually enjoy the game. There are some ways you can increase fps my a little and run the game more smoothly, especially when in city.
1) Try this GTA 5 Priority Laucher: https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/gta-v-high-priority-launcher
It will boost fps by a little.
2) In order to get a smooth game-play; no lag while in the city, try lowering "Population Variety," "Population Density," and "Distance Scaling."
This didn't really increase fps but after doing this, my game had no lag while playing LSPDFR especially in the city.
3) Try these LSPDFR settings:
Hope this helps!

Ahmed4696 reacted to A Stranger in ELS issueRemove AutomaticSirenCutout for now. The rest don't interfere with ELS.
Try deleting OpenIV.asi; restarting your PC, and then reinstalling OpenIV.asi via OpenIV.
Also make sure you didn't install any Sirens. (Sound files).

Ahmed4696 reacted to MattDH in Attempted to read or write protected memoryAlrighty folks I found a fix but sadly I have a bit of bad news. Some people I’ve talked to, like the very helpful and amazing YouTuber Mr. @OfficerBenzo, deleting your mods folder and creating a new one worked, but sadly for some reason this did not work for me. So if you’ve tried this and are still having this issue I’ll tell you what I did.
I moved my mods folder to my desktop, along with els, plugins, and all the other stuff of LSPDFR relation, redownloaded GTA, and then did a fresh MANUEL install of LSPDFR. The automatic installer refused to work for me for some reason.
After getting it to work, I added my plugins folder and was able to run the game, though had to update a few of the plugins. I managed to be able to salvage a lot of my cars from my old mods folder, making a fresh clean one in my new game, and after adding one thing by one thing, I think I found our problem.
I was able to overwrite my new PatchDay20 with the ones from my old mods folder, getting back all my cars in there. However when I went to install mods such as “updated lspd cop” or “improved SAHP ped”, I got the protected memory error. I have yet to try and put my addon vehicles back in, but the problem seems to be with replacing police peds, for some odd reason.
EDIT: Also causing it when adding addons. But everything else works fine.
EDIT 2: was able to readd peds, and 2 addons, but when I try and install the third my game crashes. But as far as the peds you can still have them, just remove and reinstall.
If anyone finds a way around this or can improve upon my discovery, let me know. I hope this helped at least someone.

Ahmed4696 got a reaction from amr14j in LSPDFR Crashing upon loadingFrom your RagePluginHook settings, choose "Don't load any plugins on startup" and see if you load into GTA fine. If you do, then press F4 to open the rage console and type in LoadPlugin LSPD...... whatever pops up below as suggested and enter. So basically try loading lspdfr through rage in the game and see if this works.

Ahmed4696 got a reaction from chadc78 in Since recent game update.......What @chadc78 meant above was that open the app "Open IV" and when you load it up, on the top it should give you an option to update the mods folder. Do that.
OPEN IV is an app that allows you to add cars and stuff so you should download it if you don't have it.

I understand why you might be confused. So there are two things: scripts and plugins. Plugins include mods such as "Arrest Manager," "PoliceSmartRadio," StopThePed" etc while scripts includes mods such as "CopHolster," "EUPmenu," etc. The plugins go into your GTA V/plugins/LSPDFR while scripts go into GTA V/plugins.
The plugins inside GTA V/plugins/LSPDFR will show up and start working when you load up LSPD first response and then go on duty. For scripts to load up, you'll need to either check the boxes for them in the settings of RPH or when you're in GTA, you open the Rage Console and type in the plugin you want such as LSPD or EUP menu.

Yes, you can. If you have a personal backup of 0.4.2, i don't know why the lspdfr team does not allow to download an older version.
Thats how its supposed to be...

Ahmed4696 reacted to FKDZ in Why was Ultimate Backup Removed?Oh I didn't see this, so he is taking a break due to some negative stuff. I understand, biggest reason modders leave or take a break is due to the constant nagging from users to ''do this/do that''.
Translated from his profile page it comes down to feeling underappreciated and undervalued. Also the fact that brand new users can leave reviews is bothering him, he wishes people only with a good reputation to be able to review. Seen many modders collapse due to this, hopefully he has the energy to still pick things back up, just sad that people can be so demanding and mean when someone is obviously putting his heart and soul into something...for free.
You could get 10 comments about how people love your mod and 1 comment thats negative and you'll forget all about the other positive ones, it sucks.

Edit: He is now hosting his mods on his own website; https://bejoijo256.wixsite.com/bejoijo

Ahmed4696 got a reaction from Grenaders3 in LSPDFR, can't initiate pursuits.I don't remember how it happened but it started in LSPDFR 0.4.1 and I still have this problem in LSPDFR 0.4.2. Basically, sometimes when I try pulling or fully pull over people, they take off, so I hold down my rightthumb stick (controller) to initiate the pursuit but it doesn't work. It used to work before with this same button and also the red circle (enemy) doesn't show up on the car like it did before so I can't even see it on my map. Any help!!?
