Horrible FPS

Featured Replies

I get around 50-60 FPS in SP. But when I launch LSPDFR, that number goes to hell. I get around 25-35 FPS in the city and 35-45 to even 50-55 FPS in Blaine County. I will say, I do have plenty of a lot of Plugins. I have Pretty much every Essential Albo Plugin (Except Arrest Manager) Better EMS, 3 or 4 Callouts, Force a call, Police Status mod, Stop the Ped, and I think that’s pretty much it. What’s the most FPS boggling Plugin I have and what can I do to increase my FPS  little? Or even Tenfold?

Almost every single one of plugin created by Albo cause fps drop but they are also the best if you want to actually enjoy the game. There are some ways you can increase fps my a little and run the game more smoothly, especially when in city.

1) Try this GTA 5 Priority Laucher: https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/gta-v-high-priority-launcher

         It will boost fps by a little.

2) In order to get a smooth game-play; no lag while in the city, try lowering "Population Variety," "Population Density," and "Distance Scaling."

         This didn't really increase fps but after doing this, my game had no lag while playing LSPDFR especially in the city.

3) Try these LSPDFR settings:

Spoiler

Main.PreloadAllModels = false
Networking.DisableServerCommunication = True
Networking.DisableDiscordRichPresence = True
Main.DisableAmbientScriptHooks = True
AmbientSpawn.MaxCopsInArea = 0
WorldEvents.IntervalMultiplier = 0
WorldEvents.MaxNumberOfEvents = 0
Callouts.Multiplier = 250
Chase.CopsCanCommandeerVehicles = false
Callouts.DisableBigRadar = true
Ambient.DisableAmbientGameCopSpawnBlock = true
Chase.DisableTrafficDensityAdjustments = true
Chase.ExhaustionInterval = 25000
Chase.ExhaustionDuration = 30000
AmbientSpawn.DisableRandomUnits = true
Chase.DisableAmbientAI = true
PoliceStation.DisableAmbientSpawn = true

Hope this helps!

Could you post your PC specs to allow us to see if this is a PC performance issue or a game issue? A dxdiag would be best. Let me know if you need some instructions on how to do this. 🙂

Your graphic card and ram are the recommend specs required for GTA V but your processor is kinda sh*t.

These are my specs:

Amd Ryzen 5 1600

GTX 1060 Dual 3gb

16gb DDR4

Just like you, I play on a TV also with a refresh rate of 60Hz, same as you. With Vsync off, I get almost 80+ fps in offline mode with every graphic settings maxed out. When I load LSPDFR, it drops to around 50-60, and then 35-40 when I go on duty. But since my FPS drops because of all the plugins I have, my game doesn't run smoothly so to make it run smoother, especially in the city, I did the things I recommend above to you. My game gets no lag and runs smoothly with these specs.

So unless you're planning to get a better TV with a higher refresh rate, there is no point in getting some high end graphic card since your TV will cap it at 60 fps unless you turn Vsync off.  I would recommend you to try the things above first. They don't really  increase your FPS by a lot but will make your game run very smoothly, with no lag.

try to install gameconfig with 0.1x traffics and 0.1x peds. https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/gta-5-gameconfig-300-cars

the new LSPDFR is very hungry on CPU because it always checks all ambient traffics and peds in the loop.

the more the population, the more FPS will be suffered.

Note. you can also try to adjust population in the ingame settings, but somehow it seems has no effect in my end, that's why i prefer to decrease population using gameconfig, which is working well.

It's not ideal to decrease ped population. I know It sucks due to immersion. Ahmed4696 said that No matter the higher end Graphics Card I get, my TV will still cap at 60 FPS if I have vsync on. I have yet to do a new Benchmark test, since I changed my settings to Very High and only my textures on low and nothing in the advanced section turned on. Even if I do get 50-60 FPS and try to cap it around 60, the Lag will still eat my a** up. It's not that I get lag, but the performance in LSPDFR is kinda sh*t compared to the FPS I get in SP. If it is the lag, and my eyes are just deceiving me, the solution is to lower the Population? Is that what I'm getting from you?

Or could I try getting more RAM? Specifically RAM to fit my computer. Do you know where to find RAM to fit my PC? I'm hoping to god my Processor isn't bogging my Performance down. That means getting a new Motherboard, which in turn will cause me to get a new CPU and/or GPU. It would cost less to get a new PC, but since I got my PC for Christmas, my parents wouldn't be very ecstatic.

AMD is liquid sh*t. I want to throw that thing out, and try a new processor. But I don't know what will fit my Motherboard. I asked other people, and they said shoot for a i3-i5.

Your system doesn't have any obvious bottlenecks so your processor isn't bogging your performance down. You don't need a new motherboard. Your AMD processor is 'sh*t' but not every AMD processor. My Ryzen 5 1600 works like a charm and I got it for less than $100. Unless you're planning on switching to Intel processors (which are also pretty good yet expensive), you won't need a new motherboard. You can just find AMD processor and see if their sockets matches your motherboard socket. If you do get a better CPU and GPU, I would recommend you to add ram and make it a total of 16 gb DDR4! This should be more than enough to run GTA or any other latest games you'd like to play. If going with Intel, I would recommend an i5, make sure its the latest gen probably 8400 or 9400F.

If you don't know what ram will fit your pc, try this link:

https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/systemscanner

This will scan your computer and then show you compatible upgrades you could get for your computer. It will tell you what type of memory/ram will be compatible with your motherboard and then you can click "where to buy" or just search up on wherever you feel like buying it. 🙂

Ryzen 7 3700X,  Nvidia RTX 2060 Super, 16Gb DDR4 ram, over 3 TB of ssd storage space, and I STILL run this b#$%^ at about 40-45 frames. It's just the nature of the beast until they come out with newer versions.

I get 75-90+ (100+ In County) FPS when playing gta normally, but when i launch LSPDFR it drops to 45 to 65 (up to 70+ In County) FPS with with stuttering, especially while looking around. I am mainly concerned with the studderes more than the FPS. Anyone can help with this?? Here are my Specs btw.

GPU: GTX 1660Ti

CPU: Intel i5-9400F

RAM: 16GB

Storage: Hard Drive 4TB

(Motherboard & other info n/a)
