  1. I'm not staff either, but my 2 cents is there is what, 100,000 odd users here, even if they asked them now, that is an almost garunteed 100,000+ sales of copies right off the bat. If that did ever happen, I'd buy that game in a heartbeat.
  2. Just search through the forum topics. There is a search bar up top that could also help.
  3. As Tom said, don't waste your money on an Alienware PC. You pay for the name, not the performance. I had a friend who bought a $1,200 Alienware computer and gets the same performance I get out of a $600 computer. Building your own is the best bet for anyone.
  4. Also, if there is nothing stating whether or not a car is ELS enabled, once in-game, just press the els keys, and if there is nothing happening, its not ELS enabled.
  5. Sad to hear. Shouldn't it be "peace" in stead of "piece"?
  6. I'm an avid airsoft player, and my neighbors know it. My pistols don't have orange tips on them, and they cycle just like a real steel firearm, but I never leave my deck in the backyard with them for those safety reasons stated above. My neighbor know not to call the police on me, at least I would hope so, because they know I'm not using a real firearm. I don't ever play in the woods around a neighborhood either. The closest to a neighborhood I've played at was a mile hike away, so there was no way we could have been seen, even then, the players I was with still let our local LEOs what we were doing and where, so if there was a report about us, they would already know what was going on. With that said, I mainly play at close CQB fields where, in my opinion, having the blaze orange tip can be a bad thing since you need to go sneaky sneaky crime crime every now and then in order to win the game(s), and with a bright orange tip, it can give away your position. I carry all 6 of my guns, 2 M4s, an AK-47, a Shotgun, Sig P226, Beretta M9, and S&W M&P 9c all inside a gun bag that you can't see inside, which is the way most airsoft fields require you to show up with for safety reasons. IMO, if you use them right, and don't leave your own property with them out, you shouldn't have a problem. Airsoft guns aren't real guns, but they should be treated as such anyways. They can help teach proper firearm usage and proper firearm safety.
  7. I think Reibu is right with the siren. The pitch is higher most likely due to the speed at which the cars are passing by the camera. Speed does distort sound, it's a property of physics.
  8. Like DrDetriot said, Steam gives you the ability to backup your entire game directory with just a few clicks, and it doesn't take anywhere near the same amount of time to restore the backup as it does to completely reinstall the game. Also with Steam, you can use the feature "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" which will analyze the game files and detect any problems. After detecting them, it *should* fix them for you.
  9. I actually have this same issue! I used CryENB as well before and I have a step lower graphics card than you, the GTX 650, and I was able to run it perfectly. I haven't found a fix yet though. :/
  10. I have to agree with Bugs on this one. People want mods for GTA, so they will do it by any means necessary. I bought GTA IV strictly for LCPDFR, nothing else. I don't expect any sort of LCPDFR mod for GTA V until many months, if not a year even, after the release. IF people expect a mod by the devs when the game comes out, they are daft. Because if there are the security measures for GTA V that are speculated, it sounds like it is going to be a bitch to mod.
  11. It may not be the issue, but my old PC kept getting BSoD screens due to an issue with the processor. Under load, such as playing games, downloading large files, and watching movies, the PC would shut itself down and give me the BSoD error. It never gave a specific error, but I tested each and every part in different computers I had lying around the house, and narrowed it down to the RAM and the Processor. I replaced the RAM with some new stuff but the issue still persisted. If you have other computers lying around your house, maybe try transplanting the hard drive, power supply and what ever else to the other computer, and testing it that way.
  12. He probably edited the water.dat file, which contains all of the water properties for the game. Either that, or he used the Tsunami mod.
  13. I have the FX-8320 and it is amazing, so I would think that the 8350 is even better. I wish I could afford the GTX 7-series cards though. lol.
  14. Maybe he is a real cop and he is telling you that he is an undercover cop so that you will doubt yourself into thinking that he isn't. But in actuality he really is a cop, but you don't think that he is because he told you, and real UCs don't say they are UC...or do they??? Was that confusing enough for ya?! :) Or maybe you are the UC and you're telling us because you think that someone is on to you, and by telling us, they will doubt you're and actual UC....
  15. Most mods aren't stable in the first place. People can run mods without any problems at all, while others can't run any without getting a slew of crashes. It is hard to say for sure whether or not a mod is stable for everybody.
  16. Yep, when you're in game, just press the little wave key, `~, and type forceduty to go on duty without having to go to the police station.
  17. If you use the Simple Native Trainer (SNT) you can yous the Ped Spawn menu to change you ped to which one you want. You can also customize the clothes that he wears and his voice.
  18. Are you saying transfer files onto the GTA IV disc? If so, that isn't possible. The makers of the disc/game, Rockstar in this case, fill the disc to the absolute maximum so you can't add anything to it.
  19. True. I just don't think it looks all that great on the new Ford PIs. I do however, think that it does look really good on the Chargers, since it is the V-shape and kind of fast looking, and the Charger is the meanest looking cop car. That bar fits the car IMO.
  20. I say this; if you want to play BF3 on Ultra settings, go spend the $1,000+, you can play anything else just fine. But if you spend half as much, you can still play just about any game with high FPS just fine. My desktop was $600, it has AMD FX-8320 octo-core processor @ 3.50 GHz. Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 (not the best, but eh, it handles everything), 8 GB DDR3 RAM (again, not great but gives me no issues), and a 1 TB hard drive. I got that for $600. I didn't build it because I didn't have the time to, but I can play GTA IV with every car modded, an ENB, and all the settings to high, and get 45 fps lows. I can still play BF3 on high and very high.
  21. Ehhhh, I personally think the Valor or whatever the V-shaped LED bar is, is uglier depending on the car. But that bar is pretty fuck ugly.
  22. I decided to try a series of other games as well....Introducing!!! Multiplayer Mondays!! This is a series where I will be playing a bunch of multiplayer online games that I have, and that you guys can suggest. I may not play your suggestions for the simple fact that I might not be able to afford the game, but I'll try! Here is Episode 1 of Multiplayer Mondays!! in which the featured game is Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare! Hope you guys enjoy it!
  23. I'm not entirely sure you're able to do that, considering the main differences between the Stockade, Police Stockade, and NoOSE Stockade are just cosmetic; the liveries are different as well as some of the parts (sirens, lights, and rambars) are extras added to it. It may be hard coded into the game itself that it only runs off of one line. I could be wrong though.

The hotfix isn't necessarily adding or improving gameplay itself, but more improving the stability of the mod, making it more stable and less prone to sudden crashes. Usually when mods change numbers, for example, 0.91 to 0.95 to 1.0, that is where you tend to see changes in the gameplay itself.
  25. I have the AMD FX-8320. I love it. It has great specs and performance for a decent price. I highly suggest it. I'm only limited by my graphics card, which is a GTX 650, but the processor is fantastic!
