Company A320 (EGKK-BIFK Leg 1)
Finally, I'm the last in the very long queue, I've left with a delay, which I hate. EGKK scenery courtesy of UK2000

Traffic Queue (EGKK-BIKF Leg 1)
Stuck at EGKK, Gatwick, behind a queue of our rival EasyJet (mainly). This is the first leg of my delivery of the British Airways 737 to it's retirement location KVCV in the US of A. Of course, having to wait 20 minutes to take off makes you wander whether you want to really simulate delays, seeing as I sit in enough traffic as it is in real life!

A few LAPD related questions.
Are the LAPD single crewed? What are their Ford SUV's used for, are those used by all officers or just Sgt's and above? Are LAPD trained to deal with pursuits to a proper level and why do the LAPD insist in having a huge convoy of LAPD cars during a pursuit when the last vehicles clearly serve no purpose, I mean, the first 5 cars I understand, but the next 15 should either be up ahead trying to block the possible escape routes or deal with normal patrols

Quality mods being made?
I've just seen those images in the gallery, the utility and the PI, as well as the 2nd gen LX Charger! They're so beautiful and suit the game so much, but I doubt they'll be released which is a crying shame Yes, I feel sorry for them because they pay for the models (which are quite expensive) and the least someone can do is give credits for their hard work, but at the same time the people who steal them create models for the entire GTA community. So it's bad that they get stolen, but at the same time lots more gets done because one guy cannot create all the requests. Yes, perhaps, I haven't really followed much of the LSPDFR forums so I've missed what's happened in the last two months. Hopefully with some more time all the LA vehicles start getting released

Quality mods being made?
Hello all, It's been a little while since vehicle mods have been supported for GTA V, yet I'm not really seeing any high quality mods being made for the game, I expected a huge influx of many different Ford Crown Victoria's and Dodge Chargers, seeing as there are many for GTA IV (obviously not a direct port over, but the original purchased models being imported and converted for GTA V). But, thus far there seems to have been very little progress, there's a 2015 charger (which to my knowledge neither the LAPD, LASD or CHP use) and two Ford Crown Vics, but still no argent light bars or any accuracy for the LAPD. I've heard that because Zmoddler doesn't support locking models that the authors aren't releasing vehicles simply because they'll be stolen, is this the reason for the lack of mods or are there authors working on them with intent to release them but I've just completely missed them? If people are aware of authors creating LA emergency vehicles which are accurate could you please inform me, so that I don't remain ignorant. Are authors waiting for the release of ELS to then develop their models around that or is it that it is currently too difficult to convert vehicles? Regards SeaHawk

ELS Causing Crashes
Any Ideas anyone?

GTA IV EFLC Crashing
I'm using 8.5. I've tried reinstalling it, the issue is with the AI. When the AI are turned off it works, but I want to have the AI enabled.

ELS Causing Crashes
Following extensive testing, I've established that ELS alone is causing my game to crash after a period of around 10 minutes. I'm attempting to avoid turning off ELS for AI because they just look stupid going around with the lights not working. Underneath is the config file for my ELS, I don't know why it's crashing, I've never had any issues with previous versions of ELS, and I don't think performance is an issue. Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm using very low poly vehicles and TrafficLoad. I'd like to know what others have done to fix their issues with ELS without disabling AI ELS. // EMERGENCY LIGHTING SYSTEM IV (V8.5) // Copyright (C) 2009-2015 Luxart Systems // Made by Lt.Caine // // --- MAIN CONFIGURATION FILE --- // // (IMPORTANT) Refer to the ELS User Guide for instructions and additional information. // *** Used in combination with various keys to activate their second function. // ** Requires that indicated key be pressed in combination with the 'ComboKey'. // * Requires that info panel be active (some alternate functions require this as well). GTA IV EFLC Crashing
hello, I've established that ELS is the problem, it's the sole cause of my crashing. Is there anything that I can do other than use non-ELS vehicles?

How to get GTA 4 and LCPDFR on MAC?
Obviously people are anti-Mac here, I'm using a Mac to play GTA IV and it can easily handle it, it's not their primary role but it manages very well. The way to go about it, which is a little complex is to use BootCamp to partition your Hard drive. There are plenty of videos on YouTube which show how it's done. Once you've done that it works exactly like a Windows machine. But I warn you, whilst I love my Mac, a custom built gaming computer is far more suitable and performs better for the same money.

ELS V8: Game crashing? Here is THE SOLUTION!
are there any other solutions? I want the AI to use ELS, and following some very painful testing I can tell ELS is the source of my misery right now. It used to work, i can't remember whether it was version 8.5 or a previous version. Essentially yesterday I installed all the mods and I had no crashes until I finally installed ELS.

[WIP/REL] British Callouts Script
Yes! I agree with CCPF, some callouts aren't very glamorous at all, and those callouts he suggested are pretty cool, although the bridge escort may be very difficult, but a script which has only a few vehicles spawn and few peds is best. I don't want to have to avoid callouts because of crashes

2014 Ford Police Interceptor NYPD
Well, as a user of Iconic Rainbows NYPD PI, I feel that his version was better. IR's DROT lighting and the front bumper looked good, whereas Sgt Kanyo's one has an issue with the mesh as in the images. I like that there are more liveries, as well as the dirt texturing not resulting in a grey car, but it's not an improvement over IR's vehicle. With these issues corrected, it can be very good!

Ha. Yes, my final exams are finished so I just fly on FSX since I have literally nothing else to do until September when University starts. I usually fly in the morning, whilst in the afternoon and evening go out with friends. FSX is really a great platform, you car start any any level of complexity, I personally jumped straight onto the "tubeliners", bypassing the light aircraft such as the Ceesna's. I wouldn't recommend doing that however, because there is a lot that I missed. Buying a cheap joystick is perfectly fine, I have the Cyborg Fly 5 which I've had for around 3 years with no issues, I recommend something with a twist grip for rudder and a hat switch for looking around the aircraft, other then that, you're set. Use the default FSX aircraft for a little while, around a year, they're simple and very friendly. FSX has a lot of missions which progress in difficulty, so starting from taking off, movements in the air, and landing in a single engine prop plane, to flying a 747 into a storm, which are all very useful to get to grips with the planes. After that, then you can learn to fly the most complex aircraft such as the PMDG 777 & 737 which are almost the exact same as the real thing, and the level of simulation is incredible. I'd suggest start with a small little Ceesna, learn to taxi, take off, do a circuit and land, from there you can progress to hops from one airfield to another using a GPS or VOR navigation around 1 to 2 hours long, then you can go over to twin engined prop planes which are bigger and more similar to commercial aircraft, do the exact same, manoeuvres, circuits, hops, longer flights, from there the world is your oyster really, you can jump on the big boys toys or if you really like the small planes then stick with them and do bush flying or just General Aviation flights. The Airbus A320 (from Aerosoft) is a really nice aircraft to jump directly onto if you want to bypass all the little planes, its a relatively simple aircraft but you'll have to self study a little to learn the systems and the flight management computer, etc. I hope that helps, if you do decide to start flying on FSX (it's the most user friendly and cheapest Flight Simulator) and you require some help, I can try and assist you. If it's something you want to try, I've put a link for an FSX trial version, if you like it then you can purchase it on Steam, Amazon etc. https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=5154 FSX Trial *Free*

Return leg from LPMA (Madeira) to my base EGKK (London Gatwick) aboard SpeedBird2781. One of the BA A320's to be retrofitted with the sharklets for additional fuel efficiency. Scenery is courtesy of Aerosoft Madeira X, well worth the investment

Madeira Approach
Yes, it is really interesting I must say. It's what inspired me to do this approach but I was distracted up until the final stages of the flight so I didn't get set up properly. I always love watching the YT of the aircraft on final, I just had no idea how hard it actually is!

Madeira Approach
On approach to RWY05 at Medeira, known for it's very challenging approach. That has been the worst and hardest approach I've made in my life, requiring a lot of concentration and skill (which I lack). Flown in the A320 for British Airways, apologies for the notification across the top.

Current LA Emergency Services fleet?
I see, interesting to see that LAPD and LASD work together in some counties, is there any superiority one has over the other, like is the LASD called in when LAPD is struggling, is one more weaponised than the other? I like the LAPD Ford Crown vic, even the older ones with the halogen lightbars, so I'm quite happy about OL's 90% CVPI's statement. Is a K-9 unit the Chevy Suburban or the Crown vic, because again I've seen both but I don't know which is newer. I've seen a few LAPD Taurus' photos, whether its the same one or not I'm unsure. I heard they were being trialled but obviously I don't know the result. I heard the Caprice's were being trailed as well, but again that was in 2013 so I have 0 knowledge of the result. Do the BMW R1200RT outnumber the Harleys for CHP and LAPD (I'm not a fan of the Harley Davidson bikes)? *Two articles* I read say that 38 Taurus' were ordered but the accuracy of that, and whether that was just a one off order or a commitment to buy any more to replace the CVPI's is unclear. Apologies for the further questions... I'm quite curious http://www.policecarwebsite.net/fc/capdcars/lapd607.jpg (Picture of LAPD PI/ Taurus (whatever its called)) * http://www.policemag.com/channel/vehicles/news/2013/06/14/lapd-purchases-nearly-200-dodge-ford-patrol-vehicles.aspx (States that 38 PI's were ordered & 50 Utilities [2013])* http://www.lamag.com/driver/story-behind-lapds-sexy-squad-cars/ (Article 2 [2014])

Suggestion for the LCPDFR.com website
What would be nice to see is the LSPD:FR website actually working fully. I'm unsure whether this affects just me, but the search function doesn't work properly, for example I type in BMW into the search function and I get "No results found", thats obviously impossible considering half of Europe has a BMW in it's fleets. I type in Ford and posts from 2011 appear, so I have to navigate through 600 topics of "Ford" to find a 2015 post. The filter by type doesn't work either, I was searching for ObsidianGame's profile because he frequently releases new mods, so instead of searching through images which have "ObsidianGames" tagged, I used the filter function which just gave me the exact same results. I understand that this is a very small community, LSPD:FR is not people's full time job but the loss of such useful functionality is important to correct. I still use GTA IV until I am ready to move over to GTA V and as such I will be needing the Search bar to work as it used to.
