  1. Gents, ladies... Unfortunately if you're not aware, GTA V has been postponed once more, to the 14th of April 2015. Truth be told it's quite inconvenient but, we must wait anyway, we have no choice. Those who have pre-ordered are to receive $200,000 for their online account for the delays. The Rockstar website hasn't been updated so it still says 24th of March. If it's delayed further I'll probably cancel my order and spend it elsewhere. Apologies for the bad news, it seems we will continue to play GTA IV for another few months. Heres the link: http://www.pcgamesn.com/grand-theft-auto-v/gta-v-pc-release-date-pushed-back-again
  2. I'm in favour of this. Now OBVIOUSLY it's not going to be used when there is a bank robbery or a life threatening situation. This won't be used in a situation which can have fatal consequences, it will be used at the officers discretion. I think when dealing with difficult people, people who are being confrontational or aggressive, it will be quite a good idea to step back, reassess and try and de-escalate the situation. The NYPD choking situation to me seemed like an excellent example of cops which over-reacted, they felt he was being aggressive so they responded with force. It should show also that they are attempting to help ease tensions between the community and officers, which is particularly strained. If an officer feels under pressure because of someone they're dealing with, they can be more hostile, which in turn makes the suspect more hostile. If an officer instead shows an attempt to de-escalate the situation, by pausing and then re-evaluating that can make a difference. The only thing I dislike is the "closing the eyes", that seems pathetic, they're not meditating, they're doing a job. Plus it breaks the visual communication between the officer and the suspect. Good on the NYPD though, there will be a lot of hostility from officers because they don't like change, especially from De Blasio, but its worth giving it a go anyway.

  4. It's impressive, but they weren't very close to each other. Airbus quite frequently does formation flying. The thing with test pilots, for Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed etc. they're all ex-military (thereabouts) so they're fantastic and able to do exceptional manoeuvres with the aircraft they fly.
  5. Thats pretty awesome, good luck to you. I wish you all the best, it's the most rewarding & prestigious career in the world (in my eyes). I've got a very similar career path planned for me as well. So I will be going to university next year to study aerospace engineering, whilst I'm there I will join an RAF squadron for University students known as University Air Squadrons, there we accumulate flight hours and general RAF experience. After which I'm going straight to the recruitment office and signing up, committing a minimum of 12 years to my country and to the safeguarding of its allies. I would like to go into fast-jet, and get assigned a Tornado or a Eurofighter, preferably the latter. If I end up flying heavies I won't be at all disappointed. Alternatively, there is the Royal Navy, but they'll be flying the F-35's and I'm not fond of those, I'd rather serve the RAF and fly our Typhoons. After around 20 years I will move over into Civil Aviation and fly for our flag carrier British Airways. An inspiring shot which keeps me motivated:

  10. Oh? I'm sorry, I didn't remember it correctly then. I haven't read the report in such a long time. Apologies, I thought that they misinterpreted the instrumentation, causing them to switch off the engine. I forgot all about the AVM's & the air conditioning packs. Thanks for rectifying

  16. My dad's Peugeot 307 Station wagon, when I was around 13 years old (on private property). He taught me very well actually, when I started driving with a driving instructor he said I was very good, didn't have to teach me much except for manoeuvres. My bad experiences during my lessons were always the cause of other people. I had some chavy c**t overtake me at a junction, almost slammed into my car and a car coming head on, I wished so hard for a police car to have been there. A drunk guy walked out into the middle of the road, right in front of my car, I was debating whether to stop or not, but apparently my morales felt it was better to stop. Overtaken by a moron driving an Audi, I was going at the speed limit, it was a very narrow road. Driving is so much fun, I love it. I look back on my bad experiences and laugh, I don't panic for things. Good luck to you
  17. A flying sheep? It's a RAF Typhoon painted with the D-day markings which were on the allied aircraft during the invasion of the beaches, so that they could tell which aircraft were allies. But a flying sheep is good too
