  1. I guess it usually happens with heavy traffic, lots of peds etc or/and after longer play or/and after few reloadscripts? Do you have something in vdH_Errors.log? CTD usually means that memory is totally flooded and game tried to load one too many objcets :/ Sadly I can't check if there is still room in memory for new models (driver and truck). I've tried to make more reliable model loading in METT/Coroner mod, but it still isn't as good as it should. Maybe there is some more experienced scripter that could help me make crash-proof model loading function? I'll upgrade tow script with new loading method when I finish it.
  2. Does it happen ALWAYS when you request tow truck by PH? Does calling for tow truck by keys work? Are you sure that tow script has been loaded? Because I call for cars by their hashes not by name I can't add cars that are not from original game.
  3. For better police A.I. we have to wait till LCPD:FR RC3 release. You can find some videos on YT and see how much better it is. For normal traffic I know only LessOvertake mod that prevents peds from crashing into you when you stop on red light.
  4. Believe me that I would love to release it already. I always get tired of scripting during test period. To not be tired now, I've started next project few days ago.
  5. The mod just waits for reports from testers. I have nothing to add to it, just bug fixes if necessary, but no matter in what state I will release it this week :)
  6. Sometimes game refuse to load peds or objects due to overloaded memory. Now if this happen script won't load camera or clipboard and will proceed as usual. When it is unable to load van or examiners model it will say that team is unavailable at this moment, so it won't crash game or something like that. There is still problem with clogged memory. Some of you might have encountered frozen spawned peds with various scripts. That is what happens when memory is overloaded. Problem is that I can't even tell when memory is overloaded, also I'm unable to clean memory. I have one extreme idea, but I have to test it in smaller scale does it actually work.
  7. I'm currently busy finishing METT/Coroner mod, then I'm back to work with PH. Next version will have only minor changes and new features like support for coroner mod. Then I'll start to script new callouts and when I have at least 8 of these (many callouts will have various scenarios) I will release new major version.
  8. I will prepare new, an hopefully last version later tonight. I have to fix bug for slower an overloaded system. Also I'll add protection from situations when game is unable to lad peds or objects. I think it will be last version before release.
  9. Nice vid Aussie. METT stands for Medical Examiner Transportation Team. In NY they don't have Coroner Office. That body bag you use in video is NY bag, in latest beta there are bags with upgraded skins and model for NY and LC. And on that car fixing. You were right saying that it's the game. I can tell health of the car, health of its engine and health of its petrol tank, but I can't tell how damaged the body is.

  12. Sheriff Van Dyck, mod is really close to the release. CG found some new bug but I doubt it's big. I wait for other reports but I think I will release it next week. Also on that screens I see I should check how other people react when medic or cop hits their car :D I think doctors are considered usual civilian. I may change that to medic or cop.

  14. Would be cool, but that means another object added to game (you don't want it, currently body bag replaces bin bag pickup used in mission with collecting diamonds from trash cans). Also there would be very hard do add correct numbers for each body bag. As much as I like realism in games it is still a game. Example: we have a body on terrace of Pier 45. So we call and wait for at least 15 minutes, examiners drive nearby, put the stretcher out, drag stretcher upstairs, make photos, zip bag, put it on stretcher, mark place, chat with policemen, drag stretcher downstairs, put it into van and drive away. Oh and what about that second body? No place for it in van, we have to watch everything again. It would be: 1. Too long 2. Too boring 3. Filled with bugs I try to keep balance between realism and usability which is not that easy and means that some thing have to be dropped because of that.
  15. OK guys I have news update for you. I'm sorry that you have to wait so long, but we had really serious bug. For now it looks like it's gone! I'm still waiting for report from one of our testers, so far it works good. That's the good news. Bad news is I'm going to visit my family for few days and I'm unable to work on scripts on my netbook. I will prepare last closed version tonight and send it to testers. Then some tweaks after I'm back and then... release. PS: KUBEANIE can you tell me point by point how did you set up that CSU unit? It looks epic, and I wanted to add decription to readme file on how to make coroner/mett/csu car flashing it's lights with ELS.

  17. Thank you for all kind words. It's really good to have support from all of you, especially when I'm struggling to make this mod work as it should. Taking photos animation is scripted. Look awesome at night. Body bags will "teleport" to van like car onto tow truck and they will drive away. They will know that body is in apartment, script will switch to rapid mod and they will teleport in room to do their work. This mod will have modes like tow script but this time they will be used also in extreme cases even if you set mode to normal (bodies indoors, on rooftops, far away from nearest street). Of course hot key can be set as usual. I'm just amateur modder, that's all :)

Looks like it is possible to do points 1-3 and then call for METT :) Sadly no new updates on crash to desktop / memory overload issue One new thing is that I finished body bag. Now wit proper textures, normals etc. it looks like this:
  20. I will do what I can to make them work, especially Braveheart's script as many of players use it. On that CSU unit. It's a cool idea, but it would be just like METT without taking bodies, so it's not very useful. I know it's more real, but you have to remember about memory load and traffic around crime scene. We all know how everything can end in big pile up. Last thing. After METT I want to focus again on PoliceHelper. Writing scripts is veeeery time consuming.

Damn I can't even tell if I'll be able to solve these conflicts.
  22. As I said before you can choose car, livery, color, required extra, bags position, max amount of bags, examiners models and key of course.
  23. Speedos don't have to be installed. You can set any cas slot for that van. Position of bags is set in ini file so no dummies here, just vector set in ini. You can also change max amount of bags to display in van if they don't fit in your model.
  24. 1. I don't want to add more people to the scene. 2 is absolute maximum. I have to think about people with lower specs pcs. 2. I can spawn stretcher where you want it, but it can collide with other objects like cars or walls. That's not a big problem as usually there is nothing behind van. 3. One problem is that when we have only one victim body bags shows only for a moment then it teleports to van. So here it would be similar. I think it all happens faster than you think :)
