Drag and Drop into the program xDI'd suggest GIMP, its what I use to texture, I'm on my fourth ever texture, the Miami Dade Fire Rescue Ambulance, you can see it in my thread.Just get a good photo of the side of the vehicle, put it in gimp and then increase the transparency of it so you can see the texture template behind it. Sometimes you get lucky and can just scale the image to get the skin, most of the time you have to manually draw around each logo with a tool like the lasso one.

Here's the Miami Dade Ambulance so far; I still need to add the back texture. @Cj24 - There's two variants of the back from what I've seen, on one picture the side line goes all around the back while on another it's got a diagonal pattern on the doors. Which one do you want? I think the ambulance is either Luxarts or Lt.Caines. Either way it's NON-ELS

Make a new layer and then just fill it in white.

They would come in really handy for the MP group, it'd be easier to distinguish state troopers from regular officers. Please upload it! :3

You need to colour the doors in white, otherwise the texture won't look correct and the badge will be out of place

Well, by now you've hopefully seen my first attempts at texturing. If not, you can find them in the Downloads Center. I'm out of ideas on what texture to attempt next, therefore I'm asking for the communities help in deciding, I'll gladly take any requests. Preferably ones that haven't already been made. Any police car is possible. I currently have templates for a Crown Vic, the 2012 Charger and a Tahoe. Just provide a reference photo of the skin your requesting. - Harper.

Finishing your first skin is a great feeling of achievement. Awaiting for the communities response keeps you on the edge of your seat, it effectively decides whether or not you should continue creating textures or not. Hope it goes well, I look forward to seeing it.
