Texas school shooting
How about reading everything that I said before twisting it? I said that there is on way in and out "UNLESS" there is an emergency and only then the other doors will open. And even if the shooter did come to the school then he/she would have to go to the front door and be greeted by cop's, who have gun's and training to deal with this. You are disregarding the fact that there is a armed guard at the school, guarding the only way in and out unless there is an emergency. This would not be a meat grinder, this would be the way you gain access to a facility that is owned by the government. 1) Guarding the front door is what a door guard does. You can have 2 officer's at the school if you think that it would help this way one officer can walk the school grounds and the other can be at the door, this way one officer isn't stuck being bored at the door as you say. This would not limit the officer's job as it is his job. 2) I would have no issue guarding a school as it would kind of be part of my job, if I do not like my job then I can transfer or even find a new career. Usually when a officer is put at a school, they are not the rookie that just got out of the academy and are actually someone with time under the individuals belt. There you go, that is inadequate security measures that would do nothing to protect you. Put a officer at the doors with metal detectors and check everyone that comes in, instead of allowing anyone that wants to come in to do so freely. I did not say that "the answer to bullying is to have armed police everywhere". I did in fact say to "stand up to bullies". When I say stand up to them, that usually means that if someone is picking on you then you should stand up for yourself (like I did) or if you see someone getting bullied then you should stand up for them (like I did). I was bullied to untill my mom's boyfriend told me to punch them, and that is what I did. I layed the prick out and he never messed with me or anyone again. Same goes with standing up to bullies for other's, I stood up for someone else and the bullying stopped. When I say to protect your schools as you would your courthouses, I mean (and I know you know what I mean but you want to argue and make my statement sound isaine) that if you are willing to put 10 officers/deputies at a courthouse, then why is it soo taboo to put a officer or 2 at a school? We know that people shoot up schools and yet proper security measures are to wild and out for others? I went to the White house and it was heavily guarded, I went to military bases and they were heavily guarded, I have been to courthouses and they are heavily guarded, police stations are heavily guarded, even the library's in the ghetto have guards. But you and everyone else find it insane to guard our schools? The place where young minds are? WTF? I have been bullied and I stood up to the pricks, I laid them out and it stopped. I have seen other's that couldn't stand up to bullies getting bullied and I chose not to stand idle and instead went to there aid. So don't say that I do not know anything about bullying, your method of telling a teacher did not work and yet my method of standing up to them actually worked? I wonder how that worked? Maybe I put them in there place? I NEVER said anything about telling the victim to grow up. I only said to stand up to the bully, and if you see someone that can't stand up to them, then you should stand up for them. Stop standing idle and letting evil prevail. What is truly wrong is when good people do nothing and I have a major issue with that. Yes it would fail just like every other law on the books. It will be corrupted, abused, and twisted to help no one because of the people that you are asking to write it. It was the government that gave the OK with the advice of the psychiatric professionals to let these people on the street with no hope and no help. They broke it once and they will do it again. Peoples family's do care but they do not know how to help them and when someone doesn't want help then you can't give them help. There are people that try to help the homeless and the mentally homeless but you can't help everyone, you can't even help the VET's that come back home from Iraq, Afghanistan, and Africa, how do you expect to help the homeless on the street. And yes the "evil to prevail" does apply, I know this for a fact that the only way for evil to prevail, is for good men to do nothing. I have stood up against bad people, I have put my life on the line for the lives of others with no benefit for myself, I have faced bad people in the face and stood my ground. The only way that these people thrive is when you stand idle and do nothing but expect for some crappy politician to write a law and hope that the cops can get there in time wile there are able bodied people around doing nothing. That is a victimhood society and I am not apart of them. This isn't a book or a movie or a show as you would say, there are evil people in this world and a law has never fixed anything. These are not excessive, have you ever been to a courthouse or police station? If not then you may think that those places are excessive in the way that they go about with security. I agree that there is something wrong with society and it starts with humans, but instead of waiting idly for someone to make a law, we can begin by putting security into schools just like every other government facility that you go to. It took almost a year for them to pass the affordable care act and less than a month to pass the Patriot Act, what makes you think that they are going to pass a Mental health law that works? Those two acts do not work and they never will either. I would like to know though, what does basic security mean to you?

Texas school shooting
You are being a smartass and making these security measures sound excessive. This is just basic security that would work. It is not a wolf's lair, and it is preposterous for anyone to find these security measures wild. I grew up like this and it worked. I felt safe and knew I was safe, no one was getting into the school and going to kill anyone like that. But hey fuck it, as you would have it, leave the doors wide open and let anyone come and go as they please. No need to protect kid's, only judges and politicians should receive protection. These kid's must not need protection or anything that may somehow infringe upon their rights. The first thing that we must do is let politicians bicker and make no law that would help anyone and when that all fails maybe we can talk about putting a resource officer in with a walkie talkie and hope he can call the cops in time. And plus, these are public school's, not private facilities like malls or cafes or hotels , ran by the government, they are supposed to teach your children while at the same time protect your children. They have proven soo far to not be able to do either that well. If you want the government to protect you then why do they focus on every other government facility but schools?
-
Texas school shooting
And what law has been created with the help of so called "EXPERT'S" that actually changed/helped everyone? None. All that you are asking these stupid politician's to do is create law's that will subjugate everyone and still not fix anything. Look at the TSA, it is a cluster f*** that is broken, never worked, and is filled with criminals and corruption. There are reasons that the U.S. is careful when we walk the line's of mental health, and just like I have mentioned in a previous post, and that is because they failed everyone in this country in the worst possible way. The Government "CANNOT" do anything to benefit you or society and will only corrupt, and enslave you. The best way to benefit society is to be good to other's, treat people the way you want to be treated. Here is the best way to secure these school's. 1) One way in and one way out. 2) "LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENT'S" at the front of the school's door's 3) Metal detectors at the front door's. That is how all of the school's that I went to were, it is cheap and efficient in a way that law's wouldn't work. The only way that you could leave the locked door's would be if there was an emergency. This was in 2001. Mental health is a difficult subject to fix, and the expert's are not law maker's as well as the law's aren't the answer. Unless you would like to have mandatory mental evaluations every 6 month's. Just stand up to bullies and protect your school's in the same way that you would protect your courthouse. It is sad when innocents are killed or maimed but thinking that a mental health law will fix anything is wrong. Start teaching people to have chivalry and to stand up against evil. The only way for evil to prevail is for good people to do nothing.

Texas school shooting
This was horrid just like all of the other's but, I must say, you can enact all of the law's that you want, that you "THINK" make sence, and that you "THINK" will work, but the truth is that there is almost nothing that will stop evil people from doing evil thing's. On the mental health issue, it is not that people and Government (or should I say, our neighbors that we give power) don't care about the mental health issue, it is that no one knows what to do. You are asking people in government that have absolutely NO IDEA what mental health is, to enact law's that will be subject to everyone in the U.S. And you may say, "Well Toe Bius, we have mental health professionals that know everything about mental health and they can point us and advise us in the correct direction on how to fix this." And sadly I must say that NO. Some people may know how to classify and treat it but the people that are going to be chosen to help write the law's will only put there own interest into the bill just like everyone else does. And you can't identify someone that one day just snaps. The only way that you can adapt and fix this is to have good security, which most school's apparently do not have, which is strange to me considering the school's that I went to growing up. Courthouse shootings have decreased dramatically since law enforcement and metal detectors have been implemented into the courthouses. Sadly though, nothing will change and we shall continue to argue amd bicker within our societies with no truly good outcome.

Terrorist in the Netherlands knives down 3 people
There are excess accounts that have happened and I am against them but there are many accounts that are justified. I would not say that this is a good example at all of how to shoot someone. They shot him or at him 10 time's. Why did they shoot him 10 time's? And if they did not hit him 10 time's, where did the other rounds go. And then they tazed him, why didn't they just do that in the first place? There was obviously not much of a threat to the officer's or civilians since they decided to shoot him or at him 10 time's then taze him. We shoot to kill because it is the best way to stop someone not subdue them, there are other tool's that you use to subdue someone. We aim for center mass because you are more likely to hit a bigger target and stop it than a smaller target and it not stop them. When shooting at big targets you are more likely to hit the target. When you shoot someone it is usually because that is the only option that you have and to go to non leathal could mean your life, and you should not play with your life like that. Personally I do not think that what this officer did was smart or a good example in any way. I believe that he put himself way too close to the target, then they shot 10 time's, then they tazed him, and then arrested him. That is the most backyards policing that I have ever seen.

Terrorist in the Netherlands knives down 3 people
We never said that it wasn't possible, it is not a good model to go with. American cop's have shot people and stopped them without killing them. Everyone gets mad every time a cop kills someone in a situation where the officer "FEARED" for his/her life or the life's of other's. This will NOT alway's work, it is NOT a good idea or philosophy to base your life and training on. If you can shoot someone in the leg to subdue them without risking the life's of other people then you may but then you come into the contex of "Did you fear for your life?" Obviously this officer did NOT fear for his/her life, or this may of turned out differently with either the suspect dead/wounded or the officer dead/wounded. Police in the U.S. do not kill people all the time. If you would look amd do research, then you would see that most of the encounters that U.S. police have result in the suspect not being killed. Our philosophy is that when you are to shoot someone then you should be shooting because you are fearing for your life or the life of another . And I would like to say... Why did he shoot him? Why didn't he taze him? Why didn't he mase him? Why didn't he fight him habd to hand like a man? Why didn't he show him love and affection? He should of fought him with hugs(Loretta Lynch's advice)

West Baltimore police locking down a neighborhood after detective shot
It's not the whole "Rap Culture", it is 95% of the time that we don't see anything. Out of all the crap that has gone on with killing in my neighborhood, I've only seen 1 vehicle that was used in a drive bye. Everyone at the area where the shooting happend said that the vic was black and we saw a white late 90's explorer speeding away. Most of these people talk about snitches get stitches but most of them don't do crap about it. Most people do cooperate but with the info that is provided, it is not enough to go on. When you think that your neighbor isn't talking, they are inside calling the detective telling them what they see. I talk to the cops out in public and I don't care because I am not, in the slightest bit, afraid of them. Some people are too scared to talk to cops in public. And don't forget about the police brutality that people have delt with too that would drive them to not want to talk to the cops. I've seen 5 cops beat the shit out of someone for no reason. It's not the Rap culture or the hip hop culture, it is the criminal culture. Criminals and crime have been around ever since man has been so don't blame music. If you want the police and ems to stop responding to my area and let these punks kill each other without trying to provide and light on the other side then all that I have to say is shame on you and go back to your fantasy land. We try to get shit straight, it's just that some people you cant help and it doesn't help when the city shuts down schools and gives up on these kids. It's always the small groups that make the loudest noise.

Kim Jong-Un Meets South Korean President
China doesn't control NK, if they did then NK would of stopped their nuclear program and stopped testing nukes near the China-NK boarder. To China, NK is a barrier to the west and they have not been at good relations with NK since Kim Ill-Sung. China just uses NK to get cheap stuff and as a much needed boarder from the U.S. The only reason that NK sat down and went to the negotiation table is because Trump did what no other leader in the world ( past and present) could do, and that is put the foot to the dog.
-
Kim Jong-Un Meets South Korean President
Trump did to Kim what no other would do to him or his family and barked back. He pushed him into a corner and he realized that he could no longer be like his dad and threaten others to get his way. That is how it's been for a long time. The NK dictators would make alot of noise, threaten war, and all of us would bend a knee and give them what they wanted. This time however he realized that in order to survive, he must bow and obey. That is all this is about, survival. I am not a Trump supporter, but, I will give him credit when it's due, he shut that little brat up. NK wouldn't have fires those nukes. If they did then Korea would no longer be connected to China.

Ford Police Interceptor Sedan To Be Discontinued
I just did a quick search on the bmw police cars and the x5 is what came up in the suv area and that was with MET. I personally don't see many foreign companies fulfilling the roles that agency's seem to be going for lately ( in and around my area at least). VW definitely will not stand a chance (on a major scale) for at leat 10 year's with the publicity that they received over the emission program they had. When you start to play with foreign and domestic product's, usually domestic is the more cheaper route to go. But hey we may never know, they could go the NYPD route and pick smart cars. (That was a joke NY people)

Strikes in Syria
DU carries no proof that it causes birth defects, cancer or anything else but when it is used in munitions, you get extremely dence metal that is used for armor piercing rounds. WP was used by the U.S. "AGAINST ENEMY" positions and to create smoke screen's to cover the movement of troops. Do not forget that the U.S. is not the only military in the world to use WP. And if you really want to go there then I will start to name off the horrid things that the Germans did, the Belgium's did and the Russians did. You are going to keep spewing thing's that every other U.S. hating tool wants to spew without acknowledging what other countries have done and I will be here to it out. DO SOME RESEARCH!

California Deadly Force Bill
That is literally how it usually happens here. The searches usually happen if the driver gives concent or if there is probable cause. And when there is probable cause the suspect is usually detained awaiting to find out if the officer is going to press charges, issue a ticket/notice to appear, or let the individual go free. The stuff that you guy's usually see is not every day life here. Yes I have seen cop's beat the crap out of someone for no reason, yes I have seen cop's disregard there life in order to save or stop someone. And yes I've seen cop's let people off with verbal warnings. But what you see is not as common as the news makes it look. We have almost 326 million people in this country spread out over 7.5 million km with only 1.1 million officer's (as of 2008) with a people that are inherently more free do do what ever it is that they wish to do/own. I have had my vehicle searched twice. 1) I was not detained and they searched my person and vehicle after I gave consent. 2) I was detained and searched because my vehicle matched a suspects vehicle. I do not know much about European cop's, but I have been appalled by some thing's that I have seen, just as I have been appalled as to what I have seen U.S. cop's have done. But it is not as common as you would think.

California Deadly Force Bill
We will "SOMETIMES" cuff someone if the situation call's for it. It all depends on the situation. If I put someone in cuff's then that will make it less likely that that individual will attempt to attack me. He may run but he wont get far because I cuffed him. When you start to let your gaurd down then you are more susceptible to failure. There are "SOME" criminals that would rather kill or be killed in order not to go to jail. When you see these thing's, you need to first, put yourself into there shoes and try to find out as to why a officer is doing the thing's that they do. It is usually for there safety and the officer's safety.

Was the Ford Crown Victoria the best police car ever?
That's why I have been advocating for Buick to make police cruisers or Lincoln Towncars. Yea they are expensive, but when it comes to space, nothing beats it. But with the Buick, the officer's might not be able to find it since apparently no one knows what one looks like.

California Deadly Force Bill
U.S. Cop's do chit chat with people and most of them that I have had encounters with are nice people but to not be focused for a situation to turn south in the blink of a second is a terrible way to approach anything ever. I am kind of confused as to what you are saying because the beginning of your statement says one thing while the ending says another. Remember that the news only shows you what it wants to show you, and thay is usually the bad parts of things. I remember seeing some video's of police in England willing to die or be seriously injured just so that they don't have to shoot someone and I found that appalling. To be willing to die or sustain serious injury so that the criminal does not die or get seriously injured is wild and in my opinion unacceptable. But my country is completely different than Europe and I find that for someone to try and kill or injure me, then they care little for there life as they do for my life and I would not be willing to die so that he/she lives.

Strikes in Syria
Or the Halabja Massacre Preformed by Saddam, or even the Japanese use of mustard gas and Lewisite against the Chinese. Or even the Chinese supplying the Albanians chemical weapons in the 70's. And don't forget about the Portuguese using it in Angola. Chemical weapons are horrid and unacceptable and those who give the go ahead for it should be tried for crimes against humanity.
