I agree with all of that, except from the last statement. Porn is unrealistic. It's nothing like real sex and should not be used as an example.

If they're "addicted" to porn (notice the keyword there), then there definitely is a massive problem. Those addicted to porn often exhibit the following symptoms: Antisocial (Finds excuses to stay at home instead of going to social/family gatherings) The fact they watch porn (or the frequency) is kept a secret They lose track of time (people have been known to not realize that 5 hours has passed) It interferes with their sex life as well as their everyday life (porn is the first thing that they think about when they get home) IRL sex is expected to be like a porno, when their partner cannot, or does not want this, they may get angry. As you said though, there's nothing wrong with watching a lot of porn, if that's what you wish to do, however if it becomes an addiction, and it affects you or others around you in the ways listed above, then yes, there's a serious problem. I do not have a problem with the porn industry, I have watched it myself, however I think more should be done to limit exposure to those who are younger as it is obviously aimed at an older audience.

Also, it's possible for women to leak urine when they climax. It's called "stress incontinence" and given the very low percentage of women who can actually ejaculate, it's more than likely that the majority of women who believe they are ejaculating are just leaking urine. Also, up until quite recently, it was not believed that all women could orgasm, hence why there was very little support to help women who could not do so. Since then medical advances have proven that all women can indeed orgasm when in the right condition. It's possible that there is not sufficient ability to realize that some women can indeed ejaculate, and the only way to prove it would be to observe it, which cannot take place since very low percentages can do it, and they may not wish to come forward.

This. At no point did they say that they are "just" learning about sex via porn. Sex ed teaches how to use a condom and what masturbation is, but it definitely is not a real life demonstration and doesn't really even touch on the topic. But teenagers have access to porn nevertheless. It still influences them and it is therefore still a problem. Also, you're not replying to half my points. I'm not going to continue this conversation with you if you're just going to ignore the points I've made which you are clearly proving to be correct.

You seem to be missing the point. I did not at any point say that porn turns men into rapists and I didn't even mention GTA. Your comparison with GTA is completely invalid. For it to be a comparison, people would have to be looking at GTA as an example of how to behave in real life, which everyone knows it is not. Also, the acts committed within GTA are very extreme and involve murder. Teenagers are curious. They look at porn as a way to discover what sex is like. They do not turn on the playstation and play GTA looking to understand how the real world is. However, no one tells teenagers that porn is unrealistic, as so they believe that it is actually how they should behave.

If that is what you believe 'sex' is, then you clearly aren't mature enough to understand the real values of it. Of course the oxford dictionary may say it's just "when penis enters vagina" but there's a whole lot more to it than that which can be found naturally when teenagers aren't exposed to the false idea of what sex is supposed to be. Quick question for you, did you lose your virginity before or after you first watched porn? I understand that, and I agree, however why is it that they have to be shown a commercialized view of sex before they've even had it? Why can't they discover what they like for themselves with their partner and learn to respect and love their partner? I don't have a problem with older men watching sex, that is once they've had a chance to discover sex naturally and respectfully with their partner. What they expect from sex is already defined and they won't have their perception of sex swayed or altered since they have already discovered it. However, certain types of porn, especially the more extreme ones, result in teenagers (both males and females alike) having an incorrect perception of what sex is like. Women believe they are expected to do certain things and give men certain things, and men believe they are entitled to it. I'm going to give you this link, it's a doctor of psychology talking about the effect of pornography upon children. There are plenty more studies, documentaries and videos that I can send you if you wish to view more: Of course, I'm not claiming to understand completely the effect of pornography on young people's minds, however it's very clear that it does indeed have an effect. At no point did I say that women were objectifying men when they watch porn, however they do also get an unrealistic view of sex and relationships when they watch porn. Also, I did not at any point hint at women not enjoying sex. And you don't need to tell me that they do enjoy it because I am aware that they do. Please do tell me of how I hinted that having sex with a woman is abuse. Quite frankly your claims are becoming quite ridiculous. Almost as ridiculous as how Chester is a self proclaimed "erotic film maker".

Because real sex is nothing like porn. Porn objectifies women and gives teenagers a slanted view on what real love and affection is. It portrays women as something to be used. Porn is entertainment. Sex is romance and bonding. They are nothing alike.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, it means a lot. Can I also just point out that those mentioning that moderators haven't posted shows what I mean. Moderators should be classed as normal forum members when it comes to topics with some extra powers to help keep the site safe and clean. They should not be seen as some higher power but obviously they should still be respected. I don't mind if some people do not post in this thread, I did not get a chance to speak to everyone on here and I'm sure there are also people on here who do not like me. It's okay, we're all human and that's just the way we are. To those reading a little deep into the reasoning for this post, please don't. I made this topic to explain my reason for leaving and to say goodbye to my friends. That is all.

I am sad that it has come to this, but I feel as though it is my time to leave this community. I've met many friends here and felt it would be easier to announce my departure in a forum topic instead of messaging members individually. It has been clear that this community has taken a massive nose-dive recently in terms of moral standards and I feel as though the community team are no longer the caring and welcoming humans that they once were when I joined, and the community is now full of immaturity and hate. I've been here for just over 3 years now and I've had a real good time and as I've mentioned met some real nice people, but it irritates me to the core to see people treating each other this way. I'm not sure what is to blame, whether it's the constant stream of young children, or the community team who lack any sign of care. Maybe it's the lack of leadership or sense of direction within the community. What is a real shame is how the community team seems to change the members who join them. They become controlling and power crazy, I get the impression that they feel they are superior on every level and in my opinion that is not what a community is about. The respect that was once in this community has completely gone and that is why I feel the way I do. Over the past year or so, I've seen a concerning level of bullying and abuse within this community, even some of it from the community team members themselves. I've seen many of my friends forced out of this community by the staff and members here, and it's a real wonder why I have waited this long to leave. Anyway, it's 4AM, I'm tired and I apologise if any of the above makes little or no sense. I wish everyone the best of luck, especially my friends. Thanks for the good times. - Tom H.

Haha, I literally just did this! I used boot-repair within Ubuntu to repair the GRUB and reset the MBR. Many thanks for everyone's help :)

I've tried that. First the Windows Boot Manager shows, and then after selecting Ubuntu GRUB shows... I just want to go straight to GRUB.

Hi Guys, It's been a while since I've needed to set up a dual boot and am running into some slight difficulties. The PC was originally windows 7, but I've installed Ubuntu for my dev environment. I have a 1TB drive partitioned into two and have Ubuntu 14.04 installed on one, and Windows 7 Ultimate on the other. I want it to work so that it automatically loads Ubuntu when the PC is started, and then I can select either Win/Ubuntu using GRUB. When starting the PC currently, the windows boot manager shows where I can pick either Windows 7 or Ubuntu. I do not want this to show, but instead boot straight into Ubuntu and show GRUB. Any ideas? Thanks.

To be honest, if a teacher asks you to do something which is reasonable and lawful, then you should do it regardless. If a teacher asks you to move, no matter what for, you get off your ass and move.
