  1. Ok, I have edited my post and removed the swear word, Sorry if I offended you. I won't however change/remove my opinion just because it is the opposite to yours. I don't like the lightbars, so what! I didn't ask you to change your opinion to match mine and I don't see why I shouldn't be allowed to express my opinion either.
  2. modded vehicles do tend to cause that problem. Are you able to move and carry on as usual after the message.... (apart from the fact you don't have a car.)
  3. What vehicles slots do you have modified?
  4. Why Yes, Yes it is!
  5. I think the lightbars on most of his cars look rubbish. The rest of the cars look great but the lightbars, no, just no.
  6. Did you try going to a different place in liberty city? The calls change depending on your location. Also to get a different call out, press ALT+F11 and it will force a callout. You can keep pressing it till you find one you want.

You can go back into the station after you are on duty, head to the room where the partner is and just get another one. Then you can exit and enter again to get another. Or, you could just use SNT which is easier.
  8. Make sure you are pressing the right key it's either the ' which is next to the # or ; key. Or try the key ` which is next to the 1 at the top of the keyboard
  9. Why is this not in the support section? A moderator is going to close the topic as soon as they see it. Repost in the support section and read the stickys first.
  10. rerun the diagnostics tool and post the results, remember to run the tool as a admin.
  11. For the log, just click "more reply options" then attatch the file using the form at the bottom. Please run the diagnostics tool again, then click "more information" and post the text here.
  12. Too be honest, I'm not completely sure as I'm not a developer but I know that the newer versions are the most compatible with the latest patches as that's why they were updated. Obviously if a mod was created to work with a older version of a file then it won'e be completely stable with a newer version of it. Hope that makes sense.
  13. DSOUND.dll has nothing to do with your sound. It is a ASI loader which allows you to use scripts such as "LCPDFR", "Simple native trainer" and others such as the "less overtaking" mod. You might want to check any audio drivers etc if your having problems with your sound.
  14. My brothers first PC was custom built at the local computer shop. My brother didn't trust me to build a computer using his money so I referred him too my friend who built it for him. The fact that the PC is refurbished isn't good. I never buy a refurbished PC at any cost. For that price you could build a pc with exactly the same parts except they are new. If you are to buy the one you listed you would not be able to guarantee that the video card or CPU won't fail within a week.
  15. Ok then, just give us a shout when it's done.
  16. I hope you don't mean that you are going to create a new topic....... Look at this post here, do everything it says, and then post the relevant information that is stated by that topic. http://www.lcpdfr.com/forum-20/announcement-5-need-support-read-this-first/ Just a word of advice, don't create a new topic. It will just be deleted by a moderator.
  17. Yes, I agree with molten. The username and password used to be stored unencrypted in the ini file. This no longer works now as it is using a different method. Anyway, Just reinstall the mod it will only take a couple of minutes, you don't need to reinstall the whole game.
  18. Have could I have the link to the forum please?
  19. What make have yo guys got ? EVGA, MSI etc.
  20. There's more to it than just running as an admin. Did you go through the whole of the topic I linked to?
  21. Man that doesn't sound to good. Thanks anyway.
  22. I'm in the UK too...... :D Anyway, I'll just have to try my best using my also limited knowledge of data recovery. Thanks for your replies, Tom
  23. Hi guys, I did one of my friends at work a favour as his parents pc was running really slow. I tried every fix i could possibly think of, clearing caches, cleaning the registry running AV scans. I tried everything but the stubborn thing would not speed up. I then decided that I would format the drive and reinstall windows. I asked them if there was anything important on the drive such as documents that would need to be backed up otherwise they would be lost and they said no. I then went ahead and formatted the drive and reinstalled windows, all is good. I get a call 6 months later (yesterday) to hear that my mates sister had her CV and a load of important documents stored on the PC which had been deleted, obviously. I'm going round tomorrow to see if there is anything I can do, but was wondering if you guys had any good, free tools I could use to recover as much as I can. Cheers, Tom
  24. Don't drag me into this lol, though you are quite right, it does get confusing between us three sometimes....
