I'd say they're a bit higher than your average Wilson security haha. They carry a gun and as you said, have arresting and charging powers as special constables (but don't usually) Security fellas can do fuck all and can't even carry a baton, taser or capsicum spray, only a torch and their bare hands.

Huh. Well fuck me, that makes sense seeing as whenever I've seen a HWP with it's beacons on it resembles this Not like a circle LED/Dome flash.

Anyone live close enough to a station or got a mate that services highway patrol cars in one or another that can snap some real close up pics of the defender light bar? Would solve a great debate on the shape of the domes inside, pics on the internet are varying, one pic has stretched domes and others normal circles. More importantly @Macgregor needs reference images and the internet is not providing the goods.

No none option for me, I feel like stock = no tint, it started off on a darker tint. I wasn't really looking at the menu just flicked through the options while looking at the light bar, remained black the whole time flicking through. But as Moose said, can fix it in vehicles.meta also anyone noticed that vehicles.meta is a fussy bitch? Replaced a vehicle line for XR6 I think it was? Crashed my game >ok.jpg I've fucked up >import previously working vehicles.meta >works >imports vehicle.meta with XR6* line that didn't work before and crashed every time, didn't touch or change it since it was crashing my game >works >ok.jpg

Tried changing window tint in simple trainer, can't set a number but can change it through all the options in the vehicle mod menu. I noticed that changing it to stock got rid of the weird grey texture and made it all black, but yeah.. It's still all black.

What's the location for the carvar with the police cars in it? Can't find it, only carvars with the jester and slamvan etc, and some carvars in the patchdays with DLC cars in it. Argh bloody hell, probably Only now we have an explanation AFTER I have nearly pulled my hair out trying to find a way to have the falcon in the police slot and fix it.

Yeah because it's one of the only cars still running today that you can't simply plug a computer into and get full diagnostics, haha. Yeah also extremely prone to getting gunked up, shitty low end power.. They just... Made a really bad decision to stop designing and making their own engines at that point. I think that's when they started outsourcing to Opal, it's all General Motors but like.. VZ/VE S1 are Exhibit A of how outsourcing to even a sub company of your parent company ends badly. I hear that with the bulletproof-ness, pretty low maintenance too. I got a VY, when I get my ute, whatever I decide to get I'm just giving the VY for dad to use till it dies, still got heaps of life in it.

LSPDFR Australia Discussion Thread
Yeah well this guy who told me to avoid newer holden engines has experienced the 'fun' of Alloytec Holden engines so I can understand why he's weary of new Holden (Opal) engines but I don't think he's experienced the Colorado. Amongst the horrible Ranger reviews I've seen the odd "never experienced any issues", same with those Navara reviews many lucky bastards just never see issues.. There was a point Holden thought they were good enough that they used the D-Max engines in the Rodeo's, think it was the last Rodeo model before it became Colorado. Mates dad has one, solid and goes hard. You're fucken spot on the money there my friend, I wish we'd see the reliability of those bulletproof things in these modern models. I've half considered getting one of those for a solid car but I'm looking for a newer body.

LSPDFR Australia Discussion Thread
I've read loads and loads of bad things about the rangers, shame cause it's a nice looking car, Ford has just got problems they cannot recover from, trying to cut budgets means their cars are just nothing but ticking time bombs, my sister is experiencing this with her new Ford Focus.. Got so bad that she's joined a class action lawsuit against Ford. Replacement after replacement parts and cars, the problems just come back. Ford seemed to be a bit slack on their customer service and takes and Ombudsman to get them to do anything under warranty. I was also told to avoid newer Holden engines but not heard anything bad about the Colorado's. Isuzu D-Max is meant to be the best and most reliable of the class. I'd never touch a Triton in my life. Yeah Navara's had issues with their clutches and common rail fuel system since day one, they've only recently addressed issues in this years model (apparently). Only problem with Hilux's seem to be the chassis splits if you put too much weight in the back, considering I'd only be putting no more than a ~120kg motorbike that doesn't bother me. Engine was so good in the Hilux's they used them in the Landcruiser and Hiace's too. So I think that might have to be my pick if I'm too poor for a newer body Colorado or DMax and the cheaper Navara's and Triton's are nothing but pain in the ass issue bombs.

It's a shame about the price or I'd get one myself, I'm in the market for a 4x4 ute soon, . One of my mates got a pre-loved 2013 Colorado. Pretty but not cheap. Had my heart set on a D40 Navara but not after speaking to some ex-owners.. Riddled with expensive issues in the diesel's unfortunately. I'd hate to think what old mate in the passenger seat was up to if the driver's got his pants off.

Cheers for clearing that up, haha --- Off topic here, can anyone recommend a good free or cheaper substitute for Photoshop and Adobe Premier? Or any place selling their CS6 stock cheap now that CC is out? (CS6 was my favourite, I don't like CC or I'd pay the monthly fee.) Also need a recommendation for ISO mounting software. When I had the Lenovo it came with this amazing one, power something or other, I wish I could remember the name, it was the best and easiest ever. Found it - Power2go by Cyberlink, has a free version.

Finding it hard to gauge whether you're talking about me with the lack of respect, maybe it's just because it's in the same reply to me but talking to everybody. I've tried my hardest to show more than a basic level of respect, and respect the decision the team made to clean up the thread, and I'm not half against it, things were real hectic for the last ~10 pages. You had me asking for help, getting frustrated with the game for like 5 pages, and then you had some beef the last few pages, including the nasty cancer comments, back and forth bickering etc. That Bronyrapper thing.. I've really got nothing to say, we all know that's too far. Guess we won't be seeing him around, a shame he had to go and do that because I think he had some sweet projects coming up. Anyway, I wouldn't like this conversation to go on forever back and forth, especially if we're both for the most part agreeing.. I'm not against rules, I'm not against the cleaning of the thread, I've brushed it off, was salty at first like anyone who gets sanctioned but brushed it off. I just wanted to clear up that some of the team seem to think this should be 100% dedicated to mods, nothing more nothing less and shouldn't be the slightest bit derailed, but in fact I intended for this thread to bring everyone together and have about three quarters dedicated to on topic discussion, and a quarter of real talk. If you've got an extra bone to pick with myself for some reason I guess you can PM me, but going back.. 9/10 things were over the line, but I will say the beauty of the marker pens was that it was funny because it just didn't belong here, lmfao. I didn't want this kind of relationship between the G17 team and this thread, having the thread locked and the founder grill us (not that we all didn't need a kick up the arse, I guess). I'm hoping down the track when it settles down to what it started as we can regularly have mods and you taking part in the conversation if they want to, instead of having to come here and talk about experiencing disrespect and sanctioning the the thread.

LSPDFR Australia Discussion Thread
Eh, after thinking about it I think it's better this way. This way we know our boundaries, where as before we really didn't know how far it could go before it breached rules and guidelines. None of us got banned or warning points added, so we basically came off no worse than when we started - the only thing we lost was a couple of days of access to the thread. If the thread remained locked, or a few of us got banned that'd be a different story and I'd be salty as fuck, but considering we came off pretty good, I've been okay with brushing it off and using the opportunity to recognise the boundaries and bettering the thread. Although I'd like to take the opportunity to highlight some things that you're right about and other to the moderators: - AussieGaming is right, Aussie banter is wide known throughout the depths of the internet as being .. err.. Different, and perhaps more hard skinned. What seems like it's approaching a violent brawl can actually be careless banter and shitposting we can all move on from once the night is over. We generally sleep things off. In saying that I think now we know that shit doesn't belong in public anymore. I'd like to take the opportunity to say I'd like this not to be the end of jokes and banter. Staying strictly on topic isn't what I made this thread for, crack funnies, briefly shit talk, we now know extended shitposting belongs in a group chat though, which brings me into my second thing. I didn't make this thread to be strictly on topic 24/7 - this thread should not be treated like the people of North Korea, off topic discussion and sarcasm isn't banned (yeah, NK banned sarcasm, fucked up, right?) We've previously been warned for being slightly off topic - at that point I scratched my head because I was kind of thinking.. Well.. That's kind of what this place is for. This place brings people with at least one thing in common together - they're Australian. They should be able to use this thread to discuss, briefly shitpost as long as it returns to normal - I don't want this thread to be strictly about LSPDFR, or GTA V mods etc. I just wanted to make that clear in case of future warnings - please allow the discussion thread to astray from mods and lspdfr a little, every now and then. Shitposting is our nature. Edit: I didn't originally see this in quoted post, but I'd like to add I'm not one to think 'opinions' should be censored either, much like, and going along with off-topic shit posts. I guess there's obviously an implied line on how far opinions can go on a privately owned site, but I've never been one for censorship. No point being salty, I'd say we got off pretty good. And that's a shame to hear about the requests thing, it's a shame not every link can be embedded anymore but I understand completely. Security and ensuring the site can actually be used > Cool things and wants

In the interests of ease of access, and not having this thread locked again - I've pasted some of the guidelines into a spoiler on the top of the first post, as well as links to the guideline hub and actual terms page, as well as highlighting some things to go by that may or may not have been apart of the terms you probably didn't read through. If you don't read through the terms, I'd appreciate it if you'd take a few secs to at least read what I briefly highlighted above the terms, if you read and go by those in this thread, that'll ensure we don't get locked again and this thread can be enjoyed and used for ages. Cheers.

Ohh while you're here @Sam I had a question, was forwarded onto Cyan but never got a reply.. I realise since the DDoS attacks the site's been more restricted, but any chance of raising the amount of requests someone can make by a little? Used to be able to have heaps of those sexy embedded links but since had to delete most of them and turn them into plain ass normal hyperlinks because it says "Sending too many requests, some have been dropped" and doesn't display 3/4ths of the embedded links. I predict the answer is no for one reason or another, but I really do like to use those embedded links in this thread.

Glad VR porn didn't make it onto the list, I used to think 9/11 jokes were funny (about the same point in my life I watched Syndicates Minecraft let's plays and pewdiepie, no points for guessing how old I was), now they just seem slack other than that everything but cancer and theft cracked me the fuck up, ohh boii. niqqa you know I'm keen as fuck for this 😍 Is that a new defender light bar that isn't mac's I spot, or do my eyes deceive me? 😎

Cheers lad, I appreciate you judging this with a level head and giving us a second chance, instead of wiping the floor with us. I just briefly read through those guidelines, but one last thing, I read through and picked out one or two of those lines we were probably a 'lil guilty of, do you mind telling us (or PMing me) what SPECIFICALLY went wrong/we did when the thread was locked? Partly curious, partly want to ensure we steer clear of it a second time. Cheers.

Rebalanced Dispatch Enhanced
Any tut on how to stop specific cars that came in the RDE pack to not spawn and not dispatch or patrol, or is this an RDE 3.0 only thing with the fully customisable dispatch? I.E Sheriff3 and/or the NOOSE cars, I simply don't want the extra cars patrolling until I can find models I want to replace them with. I'd simply delete the .ytd and .ytf files but I'd like to keep them there to remind me the slots are there to use when I do need them, or if I want to reactivate them to spawn in again, also I feel like it might cause issues if the script is trying to dispatch a car that isn't there, or having them in the .meta's and not in the .rpf (can't be bothered going through and deleting them from the meta's, surely there's gotta be an easier way)? Can't seem to find info on this.

Go to GTA 5 mod's and search for RDE there, pinned to the top of the comments is a download link to a working gameconfig.xml, download and replace your gameconfig. Might be the same as the link Matties posted a few comments up ^^ either way, download one of those. Old gameconfig doesn't work on newest GTA updates and RDE.

Mm there needs to be a downvote button. Explain to me how I had the opportunity to fuck up a working copy of the mods folder, with this car already installed and working on another computer/copy of the game, when all I did was click copy+paste.

Other police cars work in the slot. Just had the dodge charger in Police slot and the light bar and everything is how it should be.
