  1. If it works via the trainer, I don't think you're actually changing it in the vehicles.meta. Extract the vehicles.meta to your desktop. Open the vehicles.meta and find the line for the vehicle. Find diffusetint and change it to 0x00FFFFFF Now click "save", and close out of notepad or whatever you use to edit. In OpenIV, click "edit mode". Drag and drop the edited vehicles.meta back to where you got it from. Click "edit mode" again and close OpenIV. You should be good now.
  2. I kind of agree. I absolutely love the texture and will use it, but I think LSFD looks better. Again, personal taste/opinion. :) Maybe two versions, one for FDLS and one for LSFD?
  3. If you're positive you did update the vehicles.meta with that line, try cleaning the vehicle. Sometimes dirt can act as tint.

I've been waiting for an all black sheriff ped with a tazer and a matching vest! This is gorgeous! Just two things: 1) I noticed when you change the peds head in the clothes menu, that is what dictates if the ped has the gloves on. This seems slightly odd, but it's not an issue. 2) When you select the black officer's head, the arms don't change. So you have a black head and white arms. Not a huge deal, but in the event a black deputy is spawned, it will look weird. Either way, I'm quite pleased with this ped and glad you released it.
  5. So when you type "loadplugin lspd first response.dll", it doesn't come up?
  6. Open RagePluginHook and look under "Advanced settings." Disable the option "Enable counter measures against online vehicles from being removed in single player."

  8. Go to the RagePluginHook Settings ---> Game settings ---> Command line switches check "Force Windowed mode" and "Force DirectX11" then save and launch. You can change back to full screen once in game.

  10. Unfortunately there is not any other LA based packs out there. I have no idea why yet again TwistedScopes removed his pack, but you can ask him on his Discord. Check his profile.
  11. NOTE: There is strong language in this video. Several things here. 1) Someone yelled "gun" - who I'm not sure - before he fired, so he could've thought the male suspect had a gun, was reaching for one, or was going to get one. 2) He failed to mention on his report he had a panic attack. This tells me either he didn't want to be let go, he never mentioned to the department he has a history of panic attacks or his family did, or this was PTSD. 3) When the paramedic was trying to take Johnson's gun, he wouldn't let go. This could've been the panic attack/PTSD. 4) That paramedic was a boss! Took the gun and resumed the role of giving out commands to the suspect. 5) True redneck fashion. Pregnant, belligerent chick who SHOULD think to shut up and act reasonable considering she's pregnant, but no, continues to cause problems and resist arrest. I'm sorry the deputy went through this, but he 100% should lose his job. The only exception is if it was just an on the fly breakdown he suffered.

  14. Did you not back up your weapons.awc? Assuming you used a mods folder, go into the vanilla weapons.awc and extract it to your desktop. Then go back into the mods folder and import it.
  15. Change lightsetting to 1. lightsetting=1
  16. I don't advise this at all. Package installers are nice and convenient, but you really don't know what they are installing or where they are installing. When it comes time to uninstall, if there isn't a package installer, you're pretty much screwed. Just use the very newest patchday with a vehicles.rpf, you don't need to do anything else unless you install an SUV/truck. It's always better to install it yourself and know where you installed and what you installed then to come here and ask us what and where, especially since we wouldn't know. I only advise OIV installers if you have a grasp of modding and know what you're doing so that if you need to, you can easily go into OpenIV later and fix something.
  17. So, they get bikes to counter these riders, but still can't chase? Logic! The whole idea is stupid, honestly. It won't be long before an officer on a bike gets into some type of accident. Stick to cars, call in a bird and wait until the idiots stop, but putting officers on dirt bikes? That seems like an even worse safety hazard. Even with proper training for driving one, I assume the officers are still wearing their full gear, which means that extra weight could be used against them.
