  1. WRONG SECTION. However, consult this: Install this to wherever you put your car - the file location may have moved.
  2. I believe this is about as close as we can get to a Garda siren. Lower the pitch of the Yelp, and it'll be a common Garda siren.
  3. What a shame I have to do one of these again. But, thats how the world works, circle of life, circle of death, etc. GTAGAMING, AND ALONGSIDE IT, GTA4MODS HAS CLOSED DOWN. It was coming, anyway. The move to GTA V modding, the aging and exodus of the site, and the hack all lead to it closing, But rest assured, ALL GTAGAMING SITES HAVE ARCHIVES, AND THE ADMIN IS MAKING FINAL TWEAKS AND SEARCH BARS. This is the best news. Unlike the sh*tshow that was GTAPoliceMods, the last remaining admin, DarkValorous has teamed up with some people to archive the mods uploaded on GTAGaming, and work is being done to add search bars. A FINAL STATEMENT It will be sad to see it go, even though I learned I couldn't delete accounts until it was too late, and I wish DarkValorous the best in maintaining the archive. RIP GTAGaming - 2002-2017 -15 years of hell never stopped us dreaming.
  4. Well, anything is better than nothing.
  5. Oh great, yet another argument has broke out again. Self-control doesn't work.
  6. Nope, don't go to concerts, but it was quite a punch in the gut, almost literally. I was listening to Viking 2 on the way to school, just after I had taken out my headphones, and the presenter's kid asked the presenter that morning via text "Daddy, what's going on? I'm scared." I think that ruined the whole day for me.
  7. Guys, I think he's under some kind of ban.
  8. Wrong time of the year too - exam time. Supposed to be a reprive to some - in the end, it only hurt them more, some physically. It rather did hit me hard, as it is in a critical part of my life. For the whole of yesterday, there was this weird feeling in my stomach - a feeling of sorrow, maybe, a feeling that I just couldn't do anything. And once again, the school frankly doesn't care.

Are you playing as the Garda? Tired of pulling over cars with the same-old American-style "LIBERTY" number plates? Want more realism (and god damn satisfying plates) in your Irish playthroughs? Well, look no further! Hi, Billy Mays...sorry, Hullian111 here with a brand new chapter for my modding career - I will begin modding for Irish things! Enough of that, this is the beginning of a new era, bla bla, this mod replaces the number plates of vehicles that uses GTA IV's 'vehshare.wtd' (if plates are included as their own generic_detail, or are standalone altogether, you'll have to add these yourself) to Irish number plates from the fictional county of 'Chathair na Saoirse' - 'City of Liberty' in Irish. NEW! ALL CIRCA. 2008 NUMBER PLATES INCLUDED! Within this pack is now: Cavan Clare Westmeath Longford Meath Dublin Carlow City of Liberty (lore-friendly) Kerry Kilkenny Kildare Wicklow Cork Donegal Galway Laois Leitrim Wexford Louth Limerick (changed to 'L' in 2013) Mayo Monaghan Waterford (changed to 'W' in 2013) Roscommon Sligo North/South Tipperary (merged in 2013) Offally Note that these WILL NOT be varied, a-la GTA V. Someone should seriously figure out how to do that. Anyway, enjoy my mod, and don't redistribute without my permission! As a bonus, this mod contains easter eggs! Put the last four or five numbers of these number plates in a numbers-to-letters convertor, and see what most of these spell out.
  9. Sadly, friend, looks like we've got nothing. I've tried the archives, but the downloads turned up nothing.
  10. Ah. I see this time, you've tried again, but unfortunately, you're off to a bad start. I'll give my time to guide you, see if I can help you make better stuff. Now following earlier examples on the GTA V side of the site, single colour texture mods like these are not very welcome at all - in fact, these mods can cause quite a bit of uproar from people who say they can just open up Simple Native Trainer and select this colour in Preset Six. Now the fun part - I encourage you to watch this video, since you have Photoshop installed. In this, you will learn the basic guide to making fairly-decent police textures. Before trying again, though, I say you learn a few things about the software you're using - Photoshop can be tricky to use, especially if you're not familiar with it. I'd recommend you start small before you try something big, and overblow yourself with 'pro' textures like realistic NYPD textures. I just want to help you out, like I do for many other junior modders here. I've got modding experience, and can throw you some tips along the way. Just...please don't do these single-colour mods. I know you've started out on the wrong foot, and I'm going to try and help you get good to an extent...if I can.
Although the yelp is slightly too fast, it rather adds to how well-executed this siren is. It is a perfect addition to my SFX folder!
  11. That must have been the LA riots. An LAFD fireman with a shotgun - oh, what a world we live in.
  12. One year on nearly from modding - time passes quickly, doesn't it? Here's a hint at my latest mega project, due to be started tomorrow. Faigh sceitimíní.
  13. My two cents: Please provide OpenIV or in-game screenshots of the textures. It would be beneficial for those users who want to see what the car looks like in-game. Also, I suggest you completely remove the images of your textures on this page, or at least watermark them. Right now, downloading is rather a waste of time - someone can just save the image and put it in their game, therefore not counting as a download. I hope that can help you in the future, I'll be happy to give advice if need be.
  14. Preview video? I'd like to get a feel for it before I download it.

The penultimate mod in my uploads folder. From there, there's going to be a dry period. Also, exams start Monday, so dry period confirmed. This is ThatOneHick's Declasse Premier (Non-ELS), modified to give the appearance of a FDLC Batallion Chief/Paramedic car. Using many reference images, I have made the texture as accurate as can be with the limitations GTA IV texturing has. There's a chance that the liveries may be slightly incorrect because of said limitations, and my skills, so if any problems or inaccuracies show, tell me. It is highly recommended to install this as an addon vehicle, as if not, your police will be stuck driving around fire cars in vehicle cycles every now and then, and that's just embarrasing. The original model is located here(much credit goes to @ThatOneHick for making an amazing Premier...UV map(?)) and remember, don't redistribute it without my permission!Enjoy!
  15. Ah, the Portuguese modder who I respect a lot more. Really like your stuff, man, keep doing what you do.
  16. Well, 25 years ago today, the National Guard were called in, and it was all over. But the effect on Los Angeles was very profound. The question that now strikes concern is this - what's next?

THE FIRST, AND NOT LAST, LCPD VEHICLE! Now before I get accused of plagarism, I'd just like to inform you that the crests are NOT MINE. In fact, they are @BOVRILwares's creation. I tried to contact him about my usage of it, but unfortunately, he has not responded. I'd like to thank him, however, for the inspiration for making this, and if I can, I'll rectify any fair use issues with him/her. This is ThatOneHick's Declasse Tornado (Non-ELS), modified to give the appearance of a typical LCPD vehicle of the day, based on an NYPD Ford Galaxie. Using many reference images, I have made the texture as accurate as can be with the limitations GTA IV texturing has. There's a chance that the liveries may be slightly incorrect because of said limitations, and my skills - for example, the bonnet just is too squiggly, I only discovered the 'stroke path' tool while in the process of making this - so if any problems or inaccuracies show, tell me. The original model is located here(much credit goes to @ThatOneHick for making an absolutely retrotastic model, perfect for the slim minority of 60s players), and remember, don't redistribute it without my permission!Enjoy!
  17. Sorry, buddy, the petition is worthless. Only >9 people have signed it, and even though I really like the Crown Victoria, what's the use in signing this, anyway? Ford wanted to take policing into a new direction - the CVPI was just too outdated to keep up to the Teslas and Toyotas of today. And personally, that new Interceptor they're bringing out next year fits the bill, quite literally, very well. You just can't go up against Ford - one boy with dodgy texture mods and nine petitoon signers can't make a multi-billion car manufacturer bring back an outdated model now.
  18. Guys, maybe we're being a bit too harsh on him. He's starting to crack.

While in the process of this, I've realised that the original author has already done the job for me: He's most likely at an advantage because I'm working from models and photographs from across the pond. However, even though now I think I've done a few things wrong, I feel like I've done good. Because when I first looked, there were no such models on the site. Also, I've got multi-livery, so...yeah. No slandering, but I've done good. This is Solo's (reuploaded by strike) 1974 Dodge Monaco (ELS), modified to give the appearance of an Illinois State Police vehicle, with unit numbers as featured in the Blues Brothers! Using many reference images, I have made the texture as accurate as can be with the limitations GTA IV texturing has. There's a chance that the liveries may be slightly incorrect because of said limitations, and my skills - for example, I cut off the bottom stripe at the wrong point because I misread the template - so if any problems or inaccuracies show, tell me. (mid-post reminder: its recommended you use the Streethawk version of the car. As the original vehicle used a red Aerodynic, its as close as I could get) The original model is located here(much credit goes to @solo for making a great model, and @strike for reuploading), and remember, don't redistribute it without my permission!Enjoy! Man oh man, I wish I could make this a GTA V texture...
  19. You know what? That looks quite nice. A worthy replacement, I feel - let's hope that the NYC taxi people flood the streets with them all over again - those Taxis of Tomorrow really have ruined the city.
