Retro LCPD Liveries Pack
- 32 downloads
- Version 1.0.1
Been a fair minute, hasn't it? Well, bare with me, I'm pretty rusty at LCPDFR descriptions, but this livery pack has been a long time coming. If you've ever been slightly disappointed by the variety of lore-friendly retro LCPD liveries for vanilla cars (i.e. wrong colours, wrong orientation and livery placement) or just want to ride around/be chased by something old-school, then I have the pack for you: the Retro LCPD Liveries Pack! Inspired by the recent work in GTA V by MonkeyPolice188, these are a set of retro Liberty City Police Department liveries for @Ekalb 's Enhanced Vapid Police Cruiser and @ThatOneHick's Declasse Premier Police Cruiser. Uniquely, for each vehicle, you get two variants of design and colour to pick: two each in GTA Liberty City Stories-style black and white, and two each in traditional NYPD-style 'Grabber Blue' and white. For me personally, the former represents a canon 'Vanilla Look' from GTA Liberty City Stories, but the others are also available for those who prefer the traditional NYPD/GTA III beta livery. I am looking at doing further reworks of my older files to a more modern standard, as looking back, a lot of them are either bare-bones, sometimes using the wrong fonts, or are just overall pretty bad. Next in line will be a rework for the Marbelle and the Rancher, and there may also be State Police variants of the above vehicles, not to mention other texture mod reworks such as old fire trucks and ambulances. If you are also interested in additional trunk/unit numbers for the included liveries, feel free to get in touch; I have stuck with one number each for the 'Vanilla Look', but if there's enough interest, I'll put some out in a future update. For further immersion to complete the 'Vanilla Look', I would recommend downloading @Chip. 's 'GTA3 siren for GTA4'. Please do not redistribute without my permission. This mod is exclusive to LCPDFR.com. Enjoy! -
LCPD Blue at Westminster Police Station
From the album: Hullian111's Gratuitous Misadventures
Finally, I found the motivation to finish off my retro LCPD liveries, in both GTA Liberty City Stories and traditional NYPD format, for ThatOneHick's Premier Classic, mainly motivated by how flawed the baseline liveries included are. What you'll get are variants in the NYPD's 'Grabber Blue' as well as black-and-white variants in the style of Liberty City Stories. In my mind, the latter is the lore-friendly canon look. Release alongside the same liveries for Ekalb's mapped Police Cruiser will be hopefully this week. Here, at Westminster police station, are the two 'Grabber Blue' Premier Classic livery variants. -

A New and Improved ASP Pack
From the album: Hullian111's Gratuitous Misadventures
Guess who finally remembered what they were supposed to be doing! Among various reworks that I'll be making includes the state police liveries I put out at the back end of 2018. These will be much more lore-friendly (well, fanon permitting), higher quality, and just generally better. First of all, the ASP liveries will be getting the new treatment, and will be merged into one greater livery pack upon release. Special thanks to Nee__ (not sure if you have an LCPDFR account) for the logos and inspiration! I know its a bit more bland than last time, but it looks just a bit more true to the game. -

Y’know, I feel the sudden inexplicable urge to make a Humberside livery out of this… Well, granted if there’s a template provided, I don’t know yet. EDIT: Alright, so you don't have a template. Great.

Hullian111's Infrequent GTA IV Vehicle Mods Thread
Sorry for the very late response - I'm afraid it won't be. The design is too basic and bad for continued upload. Maybe I might instead make a new version based on something else, such as, say, 1980s Detroit.

Hullian111's Infrequent GTA IV Vehicle Mods Thread
A heads-up for those interested - all of my Alderney State Police vehicles (read, Marbelle and Premier) will be withdrawn soon. I hope to replace them with improved, more lore-friendly equivalents as part of a small pack.

I'm afraid I have never gotten LCPDFR to work, and even if I did, I probably couldn't help you, either.

The Fleet Number Conundrum
From the album: Hullian111's Gratuitous Misadventures
EDIT: The conundrum is solved. I'm bumping the fleet numbers back to four characters, NYPD-style. And this is where I call upon your help. In finishing off the livery, I realised that the popular choice of NYPD-style four letter unit numbers isn't quite lore friendly. And when you look back, the police cars in GTA IV were originally meant to come with varied fleet numbers on the trunk, with texture and dispatch radio files to support this. This, of course, didn't make into the game. But what if they did? http://media.gtanet.com/images/3354_gtaiv_broker_brownstone.jpg (taken from GTA IV Beta Hunt thread on GTAForums) That's where this conundrum comes in. Should I go with perhaps only this '24 PCT 53' fleet number, seen on all the vanilla LCPD cars, or should I go for a good variety of two-number liveries? Or should I ignore the lore stuff and use four-character numbers? If anyone bothers to stop by who is interested, please, leave your comments below. There's only so much I can work with, though, as I do know that this game limits cars to four liveries a piece. -
Black and Blue
From the album: Hullian111's Gratuitous Misadventures
Not only do you get a more authentic copy, you get a choice of two colours! That's right - in my drive to keep this more lore-friendly, I remembered what the GTA: Liberty City Stories police cruiser looked like. And so with that information, I immediately went for a black-and-white version of my livery for those who maybe just want something a little less 1:1 to the real NYPD and something that calls back to mobile games of old. Sure, it's not 1:1 to the LCS version, but the original GTA IV LCPD cars are pretty much 1:1 to the real thing, fonts aside, right? -
Two Bros
From the album: Hullian111's Gratuitous Misadventures
Finally, something to be an effective companion piece to the ThatOneHick LCPD Premier Classic. Okay, so maybe its not 1:1 by livery on the same thing, but... well, it fits alongside it much better. I think that with the headlight crash issue being fixed on Ekalb's Police Cruiser, this should not only be a more befitting alternative, but also stable alternative to the previous one I've had to put up with previously. Coming soon to an LCPDFR download near you! -
It's Been a Minute
From the album: Hullian111's Gratuitous Misadventures
As the title says, it really has been a minute. A sneak peek at the new approach I'll now been taking. Spurred on in a snap decision after Lt. Caine's LCPD blue Cruiser crashed my game, I have decided to take Ekalb's Police Cruiser and make my own, recreated as best as I could to not only fit the few real-life Grabber Blue Crown Victorias of the late-90s, as well as to be a companion to ThatOneHick's own LCPD Premier Classic. More mods like these, hopefully, coming soon. -
Hullian111's Infrequent GTA IV Vehicle Mods Thread
Well... it's been a minute. More on this soon. I think I might need to completely redesign my whole profile. God, some of the cringe I posted... SITREP: I'm fully relaunching my mods page for a smaller, better-quality selection of GTA IV mods. In this case, instead of hiding them for preservation, I have now deleted nearly all of my previous British mods, as well as some of my more low-quality mods with dubious legality regarding the use of player-created logos. Only a select few shall eventually remain. What I intend on doing is now focusing on what I like best - a lore-friendly classic New York experience for GTA IV. I will be revamping all of my old LCPD mods that feature liveries in Grabber Blue to be more high quality, by means of more correct fonts and my trademark 'hyperdetail' I am bringing over from my newfound area of expertise in OMSI 2. Maybe, I hope, I might be able to get something like a proper LCPD Merit Classic rolling. But that all depends on whether I want to work on it and whether I am able to, logos, liveries and fonts withstanding. My mods are going to be less frequent, and I expect my activity on the website is going to be even less frequent. A lot has changed since my last posts in 2018, especially in my perception of American law enforcement. I'm not planning on letting this spill over into any of my site activity, though, as I'm aware it might be a bit of a contentious issue here. In short, I'm going quality over quantity now. Expect less frequent, but better-looking content sooner or later.

Parked (Police) Cars - how to change them?
Update: had a bit of a look in vehiclemodelsets.meta, seemed promising enough, though I'm not sure whether that worked the last time I tried it a few months back. Would editing the vehiclemodelsets.meta and replacing the police3 entries with the respective addons work?

Parked (Police) Cars - how to change them?
Despite not playing LSPDFR (although I plan to at some point), I do heavily download and use multiple police vehicle mods for my multiple GTA V mods folders. And with that, I do like a bit of ambience in my various 'worlds', so to speak. I've noticed that outside of the Mission Row and Textile City police stations, primarily, that all police cars that spawn outside there are all LSPD Staniers - or police1. But say I wanted to have the other police vehicles, or more than most likely, addon police vehicles spawning in the parking lots of these stations, without having to download mods such as RDE (if there is a small script that does the job, I'll download that) how can I change that 'manually'? I've heard that it might be possible elswhere, it just seems rather complicated... and I've also forgotten it.
