I've got a gang war/shootout in "Secondary Callouts" (currently unavailable). It's not always around grove st but it does have a shootout between gang members!
I PM'd you about these, I do like them...
100% going to work on that young female driving home callout... That one would be interesting...
Also I'm definitely going to grab some locations now for the security one too...
-
Awesome! I look forward to seeing them! :D

Just a few off the top of my head:
Small group drinking in the street
Someone fighting with security after being kicked out a bar/stripclub
Someone has been kicked off a train/tube and they've kicked off about it (either for fighting, being drunk or not having a ticket)
Someone has trespassed onto the railway/tube line
Lost child (don't know how you'd return them, either they know their address or you have to go drive around in an area nearby with the child to see if you can find the parents)
Possible Hate Speech Call (Subtitles at the bottom and it is down to you to decided whether or not it is hate speech (racial/sexist etc.) or if it's actually freedom of speech and they are only expressing their opinion)
Young female has called to say she is driving home and she believes she is being tailed by another vehicle (could also do this with her walking home)
Possible Terrorist (You must stop and search him) (Preferably in a populated area, as if there's the chance he's about to commit an act)
Hopefully that could give you a few ideas. And if anyone does use any of these be sure to let me know, I'd love to try them out and maybe even be a tester if you'd allow me to! :)

I think the content creators have done a superb job so far in terms of whats been made, and keeping those things updated. Props to you guys!
However, i think the number one thing missing (for me atleast) are ordinary, day to day calls that are apart of routine police work. I know Finkone is working on something (it was in one of his videos) and mentioned these types of calls were needed. Below are an assortment of different types of calls.
An example of non emergency calls:
And of course, some emergency calls:
And then you have the stuff in between:
I work for a police dept and these are just the usual calls/codes from day to day. There are a lot more out there obviously. And i know that tons of work go into these mods and scirpts. This is just a list someone can use if needed. If anyone has a question or idea of how a call might go/workout just ask. Thanks again to those who do create this stuff.

hmm, how about a simple script that allows us to see if we have our weapon holstered in first person? I can never tell if I have my hand on my hip or if my character has fully holstered it :P There is another script out there that allows you to see if you have your lights on when in first person and driving, so maybe something similar to that?

Copy the folder "vehicles" (The folder, not just the files) with all the sounds (From where you have been downloaded the sounds) and then go to the folder that you have selected in the step of extracting from OpenIV and paste the folder. It will say that if u like to replace all the files (around 300 if I didn't remember wrong). Sorry if I expressed my self wrong, I think that if you search "Not supported format version, actual: "10" but expected "11"." on google, you will find an explanation with better translation than mine :P.
Or you can just go to this thread:
They have the same issue and someone resolved it.
I'm really sorry for my english.

how do you overwrite the folder with the sounds?
-
Hi TrisBreezy, first of all sorry for my english, I'll try to do my best.
If you like to import a oac file with OpenIV 2.7 u still can. The only think is that the encrypt system was changed. To do it, first u need to export the vehicles.awc to openFormats (Right click above vehicles.awc - Export to openFormats (.aoc).
When you select a folder, it will decompress the vehicles.aoc and the folder with the sounds inside. You only need to overwrite your folder with the sounds, and import it like always. (The new vehicles.aoc will have the proper format and it'll allow you).
Now, if you don't have the vehicles.awc... then I don't know if you can decompress another one like movement.awc and change the name when is decompressed to vehicles.oac... I didn't try it.
Again, sorry for my english, if u need more info just tell me.

TrisBreezy got a reaction from Steele1925 in OpenIV 2.7 Not allowing .oac sound file replacementThanks for the quick reply. I was hoping there was another solution, but there doesn't seem to be one. My internet is slow as molasses so a steam vanilla replace will take up to 14 hrs.... Guess I better get started... >_<

TrisBreezy reacted to ineseri in LSPDFR 0.3 - November UpdateIt's also one of the reasons we test our mods as thoroughly as possible before release: Bugs show up at the most inconvenient time, all the time. We want to eliminate as many as possible.

TrisBreezy reacted to SergeantSam in LSPDFR 0.3 - November UpdateActually you should be happy that admins even have the time to reply to your comments. And with admins i actually specifically mean Sam. He works on this mod in his spare time and it is a wonder that he responds to some people's questions and even makes those posts for you guys so everyone is informed over the new gadgets and news you will get in LSPDFR 0.3. I believe with my heart that they are working as hard as possible on LSPDFR 0.3. If it comes in 1 month, 5 months, 1 year, It doesnt matter. Nobody wants unfinished crappy mods which will result in negative comments.
