  1. I'm sure it makes it much easier for the team to develop this mod but does anybody else get the impression that Rockstar took a lot of the ideas from the modding community in GTA 4 to put in GTA 5? Between tasers flashlights, first person mode, the police PR24 baton, ELS style LED emergency lights, and the better pursuit driving it seems like it. Will LSPDFR tone down the damage of the Taser so it doesn't kill most anybody with one hit?
  2. Sam and his volunteer team have not failed to deliver what they promise. From the many LCPDFR releases they have always been dedicated to improving and stabilizing what I and many others consider a masterpiece in its own right. We have not ever been left with a "dead" or canceled mod like many other seemingly promising projects. We all understand excitement. We all feel it. But we also have to understand we are not small children. It can be understandably tiring to hear the equivalent of "Are we there yet?" from passengers over and over when you are doing all the work. Our moderators are also waiting patiently for LSPDFR just like we are. When LSPDFR arrives it will be great as proven by LCPDFR. This is Sam's house that he and his team built with their own hands and we should all respect it as such. Besides even Judge Dredd knows: Sam is the Law

  4. Each release improves on your already stellar addition to LCPDFR. Great concept and the crash and bug fixes have greatly improved stability. I concur with most of the other fans that it was a well planned, well executed, and much needed addition. Excellent work.
  5. I have continued to test out the 1.14 version and testing different elements that could cause crashes. The one thing that did greatly increase stability is turning off the "ClearRandAiExtras" option in ELS. I believe you pointed this out to someone before already as a possible cause for the crashes, but it did work for me and after checking on multiple other cause possibilities this seems to be the only one I've found that makes a difference so far. I will let you know if I come up with anything more. After 30 callouts I did not have a single crash.
  6. I have still been having problems with some of the callouts causing a LCPDFR error and forcing me to reload scripts. But if you can find a way to reduce those errors and improve stability I think having regular stop callouts would be a great addition. When the callout works it is great the way you have it set up as is. I like that you do not know what the suspect will do forcing you to react accordingly. I have been testing the script often and trying to find a common cause for crashes but so far I don't have much yet. I've noticed that one or two of the locations cause more crashes (broker/dukes expressway state police stop on the Eastbound freeway just East of entrance ramp not spawning police vehicle or causing LCPDFR crash) than others. I will let you know if I come up with something more solid.
  7. Its a relatively simple and effective script. Seems to have a few minor bugs with the call out text but overall an awesome idea that a lot of people have been looking for. Well done.. Had a script related crash when i accepted the callout. The callout did not start, caused an LCPDFR error and no cars or peds were spawned from what I can tell. The game itself did not crash but I had to reload scripts and restart LCPDFR. This was on the LCPDFR log, hope it helps refine your script.   9. I know that I've had problems with crashes with modified PEDs as well as changing the PEDs file in common/data. Try temporarily reverting back to the original PEDs and PEDs file in common/data and see if that works
  10. You are correct, and I know this has been a long stated position for the LCPDFR staff regarding not focusing on third party mods. But with LMS and others working on and developing ELS and LCPDFR simultaneously I think the goal of near seamless integration of these two amazing additions to GTA is more likely and achievable than it has been in the past.
  11. I know that I've attempted to remove the file, but unfortunately still experience crashes. You are right in pointing out that LCPDFR does not support third party mods, however ELS is a staple of the community and since it is now being upgraded by LMS and a good number of LCPDFR staff I know they are likely working diligently to try and increase interoperability of these two mods.
  12. I'll be honest the three departments I've served with never had any amber/yellow indicator lights. I've been hoping to see more models that are well done without any traffic advisor bars or yellow lights. I think there are an abundance of vehicle models with clear lightbars and traffic advisor lights. I think it would be nice to see some vehicle models, especially CVPI's with lightbars that have colored lenses (like the whelen lightbars) as well as no traffic advisor bars that offer some variety. Good luck in your model creation work.
  13. I know we can all come up with countless awesome additions and new features for the next version. But just like it was done with previous versions I think many people would like to not see the cart put before the horse, by which I mean rooting out most of the troublesome bugs and crash causes before adding more features. With the new release of ELS v8.0 (which is an amazing improvement removing two of the most challenging negatives to using ELS door glitch/no damage), I think improving the interoperability of these two staples of police modding, and especially improving multiplayer stability as best as can be done would be the best first steps. New features will always be appreciated, but a smoother gameplay experience should take precedence. All of the work that has been done thus far, and continues to be done is appreciated by many.   14. I also have been having the same issue. If nobody has a solution at least reporting it this way will let the developers know to take a look at it for a possible fix in the next release
  15. I've had the same crash on single player, but are you referring to it crashing solely in multiplayer for you?
  16. Did you have the same problem after deleting advancedhookinit where you experience CTD's with no error messages or any errors logged in advancedhook or LCPDFR logs? Unfortunately now I'm stuck either having to have the advancedhook crash, or this mysterious unknown crash. Both occur within the first 10 minutes of gameplay.
  17. I've been having the same problem. When I've deleted the advancedhookinit the advanced hook crash no longer happens, but usually within 10 minutes I will get a CTD without any error message, not even the windows "Program has stopped working message". I checked the advancedhook logs and the LCPDFR log, no errors at or near time of crash are logged. When I placed the advancedhookinit files back into the directory the mystery CTD no longer occurs. I attached the advanced hook error that ELS8 seems to be causing when advancedhookinit is still in the GTAIV directory.

  19. Using the SNT you can save the speech you like using the Speech Menu to slots 1 through 10. Open up your Trainer.ini file, and scroll until you find the key bindings for speech slots 1-10. You can assign the 10 speech slots to whatever keys you would like. Then reopen the game and whenever you press the specific keys it will play the preset speech. If you need more in depth help let me know. -BR
  20. Only modified cars and retextured peds. But the ped models are the same. No other mods. The reason I'm thinking its an LCPDFR related issue is the AI that the player character uses is the same as 1.0's suspect AI. The player will flee on foot, steal a car sometimes. If sight is lost with the pursuing units it hides behind a building, dumpster, etc. As well as the LCPDFR setting the player as wanted, with the "Visual on suspect lost" prompts showing up, as well as the red "wanted ped" marker on top of the player and search grid that follows the player or stays in the last seen location. The last time it happened I set my controller down, turned off the keyboard and mouse and it continued for over five minutes. On the positive side it was kind of neat watching how the AI acts first person. All three times occurred during a callout, twice during a "shots fired" and once during an armed robbery suspects fleeing call.
  21. At first I thought I had pressed something wrong or FUBAR'ed my control settings. But I've had three separate occasions where the LCPDFR AI scripting has taken control of my player character. Causing me to flee from the police, hide behind buildings, steal cars, designate myself as wanted, and lose all control of the player character. Two of the times it occurred I was using the quick action menu and accidentally selected "Request Firefighters". Even after being killed in an eventual shootout with my AI police former allies when I spawn at the nearest hospital the AI starts controlling my character all over again. Anyone else know a fix or have the same problem? (I realize this sounds completely asinine but I'm not sure what causes it to happen or if it is known.   22. While I know there are many, many CVPI models out there, I've been looking for one in particular that so far I have not found anything similar. If there are any good modelers out there willing to put this car together I would be thankful. I'm looking for a CVPI that is ELS-7 compatible, with a colored lens lightbar, two red/blue rear deck lights, flashing reverse/tail/headlights, a pushbar, and standard police tires/rims. I don't like the clear lightbars, or the traffic adviser bars. I have included rear/front/side photos of my vehicle. If anyone is interested in helping me out with this I would be most appreciative, and if you have any questions or need more information please don't hesitate to ask. Requests for the vehicle: ELS-7 Compatible CVPI (Hopefully with the L1 issue corrected so the L.O.D. and lights on the vehicle can be seen from a far distance) Red & blue colored lens lightbar (pictured below) Red & blue rear deck lights, could be tied into the takedown lights for lighting pattern. (pictured below) Flashing reverse, tail, and headlights (White lights for the headlights/reverse lights/red for tail lights) Pushbar and police tire/rims (pictured below) Also, if it is possible could the light stages of the vehicle be made to be realistic? Where the rear of the lightbar only turns on during stage 1, the entire lightbar at stage 2, and the entire lightbar with all other flashing lights at stage 3? If not I'm not too worried about it.
