Area Livery Mod
Do all of your cars actually have the liveries set up in the config (e.g. if you have a 4 in the config for police, does your police slot have a _sign_4 livery)? That could hypothetically cause a similar issue, maybe (though probably not). Also, did this also happen before you installed 1.0c and/or the AdvancedHook included in ALM 2.0? LCPDFR & ELS?
Ah. No, you don't; you need *AdvancedHook* to use ELS, but AH is distributed with ELS as well as with LCPDFR.

RCMP phasing out the FS Legend
I actually think Valors look pretty decent, after seeing them in normal use. Really, as long as a lightbar is effective at warning people and being seen, it doesn't matter much how it looks.

LCPDFR & ELS?
This is actually mostly still the case, I think. ELS is Caine's work; LMS supplied some stuff in AdvancedHook, but pretty much all of ELS 8 is Caine's. Also, integrating two complex projects can be quite hard. ELS and LCPDFR aren't even written in the same language; ELS uses C++, LCPDFR uses .NET (LCPDFR includes some C++ code, but it's all in AdvancedHook, which is, in fact, common between the two). AFAIK, LMS is the only LCPDFR dev who even knows C++, and I'm not sure if Caine knows any .NET languages. Integrating two projects where only one person can write code for both doesn't normally work well. Truly integrating the codebases would require pretty much entirely rewriting one of the two (C++ talking to .NET is possible, AdvancedHook does it, but it's tedious and annoying; bolting an API onto a system not designed for one is *also* annoying and somewhat difficult), so the best you'd likely get in practice would be both distributed as part of the same download, at which point there's no tangible benefit. Furthermore, ELS only works when you have ELS-enabled cars, and LCPDFR generally tries to avoid modifying game content if at all possible (the Taser is added, but there are no car mods bundled with LCPDFR; it generally leaves Rockstar files alone).

Minority Majority In The UK
"I'm not racist but..." completely fails to serve that purpose. What it actually tends to say is "Yeah, this is probably racist, but anyway..." It will fail to convince anyone who thinks you're being racist that you're not, it's pointless for people who don't think you're being racist, and the only thing it signifies is that you think some people will find what you're saying racist. It's pretty much a standing joke, actually.

Whats with all the recent police shootings?
Well, yeah, the definitions are all mixed. But Germany actually *was* a state, was recognized as such by most of the other sovereign states - no one disputed that. "Combatant" likewise does have a line past which it has lost all meaning; that line is when people who haven't joined an organization that issues most of its members weapons and sends them off to fight are considered combatants. "Carry weapons openly" is something that they do *not* generally do - one of the notable features of terrorist groups is that they blend in with a civilian populace, while militaries nicely set themselves apart from the civilian populace. Now, if you consider "terrorist" to mean "person who does bad violent things", then...well, that *is* a definition, but it's one that strips the word of its meaning - "terrorist" is a strict subset of "person who does bad violent things", restricting it to "people who attack the civilian populace to spread terror in order to achieve political ends". Certain elements of the Nazi war machine did that, but the majority were draftees sent to fight armies, which cannot possibly be considered terrorism.

The Wehrmacht were not terrorists, by any sensible definition of the term. They were the regular armed forces of a sovereign state. They had a strict organization, carried weapons openly, wore identifying uniforms, and primarily targeted combatants. (yes, they killed lots of civilians. Many were war criminals [many were not; many were draftees sent to fight armies, and many of the worst were in the SS, not the Wehrmacht; but many were]. But they primarily targeted militaries.)

What do you guys think will be the next GTA city?
I don't think Carcer City would work very well. Mentioning cities from your other games is one thing, but actually remaking them in an entirely different series goes past "continuity nod". And they've indicated that VC may not be returning; while every city in GTA is set in both a place and a time period, Vice City was *really* tied to a specific time period (the 80s), and the HD era cities are set *now* (III was set the year it was released, but SA and VC were both set well before then).

What do you guys think will be the next GTA city?
I'm not sure how they'd get any more heat than they already do from the GTA series. Games have been set in the DC area proper before, and Rockstar wouldn't even do that - they'd set it in a city which is a caricature of DC, just like LC is a caricature of New York and LS is a caricature of LA.

What do you guys think will be the next GTA city?
There are solid reasons for surrounding a city with water: you can't have people driving out forever along a road, it looks weird to have a city that doesn't have any roads leading out *unless* it's surrounded by lots of water, and invisible walls and border patrols aren't too fun.

What do you guys think will be the next GTA city?
Except when they had Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas in GTA 1, then went back to Liberty City for GTA III, Vice City for VC, San Andreas for SA (expanded at that point to a region, while the original was just a city), Liberty City for Liberty City Stories, Vice City for Vice City Stories, Liberty City for GTA IV, Liberty City again for Chinatown Wars, and San Andreas for GTA V. Looking at continuities instead of games, there have been 4 universes: GTA 1, GTA 2, GTA III era (III, VC, SA, LCS, VCS), and HD era. The first and third had exactly the same places represented: each had LC, VC, and SA, representing NYC, Miami, and California (GTA 2 was in a generic place literally called "Anywhere City"). We're in the HD era, including GTA IV, EFLC, Chinatown Wars, and GTA V. Thus far, we've had Liberty City and San Andreas appear. Vice City has been referred to, but has not actually appeared. I'm confused how you could possibly think that Rockstar doesn't repeat cities. They do.

So what if GTA V doesn't allow mods?
Scripthook *is* a mod, and it took at least a month to get the first release of aru's IV Scripthook.

GTA V Coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC
I don't think Rockstar is likely to have *any* support for mods. Quite the opposite, in fact - they specifically try to make modding hard.
-
So what if GTA V doesn't allow mods?
If Rockstar doesn't allow mods, people will initially try to get around it. They may or may not be successful; however, it's really, really, really hard to stop people doing it for long (for starters, the game will be a priority target for crackers. If Rockstar makes it such a pain that no one can work out how to effectively mod it, then it won't be modded.

will lcpdfr ever close down ?
The Gamespy shutdown already happened. That has nothing to do with GfWL, which is a Microsoft product, hosted by Microsoft. GTA IV happens to use both, but they are completely separate services, by two different companies, and have nothing to do with each other. Microsoft has said literally nothing official whatsoever about GfWL. Nothing.

GTA V Coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC
Steam, most likely. It's a lot harder to lose than a disk, it's easy to reinstall, and you can get maps online.

Whats with all the recent police shootings?
@OP: With lots of things like this (e.g. suicides), one instance can serve as a trigger to cause more instances. People who would, in the abstract, like to shoot cops normally don't do that, but it's possible that reading news stories about other people who shot cops would make them bolder.

NON-ELS siren tone(single button) script?
This won't necessarily work - I've actually asked Caine about adding ELS siren functionality to non-ELS cars, and his response was that, because non-ELS lights and sirens are linked, it wouldn't necessarily work like it should. That was back around ELS 7; it might be different for 8. Please post saying if it works right or not.

[HELP] How to Change File's Image
If you want to upload these files, and are concerned about the logo other people see, don't worry - the Zmodeler logo only shows on *your* computer, and someone else viewing the same archive could see a completely different link (e.g. I'd see an OpenIV image, since that's the default for me).
