Well, I'm not an expert too but I ended learning some stuff over time :D I think that happened to you because of how shaders modify the ambient, what I'm trying to say is that I might still be correct. In fact normal shaders require different opacity settings for the glass for it to look right. (It's not only the headlights but all glass that does that) -
I feel like it's an opacity issue that's a one min fix, don't think any shader is involved.

Happens to me too. It's since the new graphic card update. Idk how you would fix it, but game starts fine (Until the start window, then I quit it). Similar answer has been given on the topic you made on another site.

Just to let you know the "alloys" are actually hubcaps that cover the steel rim, if you care for accuracy. -
