Perfect argument. Unfortunately the internet isn't the safest place for your creations and even locking mods would't fully protect them. The community team won't allow locked models to be uploaded so I doubt we will see any of Bug's work on LSPDFR...

Wow. Ok really? Did they ask Ford if they could use their models? Did they ask R* if they could mod their game? The reason people lock their models is to hold a little bit of internet fame and ego over a community. Don't lecture me about how they should get credit, because they should, but they hold the entirety of the modding scene hostage by locking and not releasing them.

willpv23 has a point, we would be mad if our work was ripped off too. But can you imagine the kind of status you would have if you uploaded this? If you were the one modder who worked FOR the community. To get the community awesome vehicle models. You would be revered! Everyone would know that the dude who made the first true vehicle mod was you. Nevertheless good work!

So my question still stands: will you consider uploading this even if a lock feature never comes out as Oleg has said?

I just go a response from Oleg and he said the files will never be locked as it can be bypassed he doesn't see it as necessary so unless people are willing to contribute without absolute protection the community won't get many models.
