  1. Licence plate shows up in game, but not OpenIV for some reason Tahoe: probably need to remove the tint using a trainer
  2. "Muh spreading the word about the anit-modding stance of Take-Two won't do anything" Good work to everyone who helped accomplish this magnificent feat btw, petition is almost at 25k. If you haven't signed, now is the time
  3. zmodeler3, and the pushbumpers are either PB-400s or PB-450s with a PB-5 wrap Love you too bby Absolutely. Montreal skins looking quite nice on them I must say. @beh443 All the extras are ELS lighting. ELS uses the extras for lighting meshes
  4. It won't. From the looks of it, Take-Two felt that OpenIV gave some sort of advantage to users (Which it didn't but that's for a different topic). If Take-two wanted to go after the other two, they probably would have received C&Ds already
  5. Yup, you can use it in whatever spot you want.
  6. Version 1.3

    60,035 downloads

So, Take-Two, you want to try and stop my illegal, garbage, basement-dweller modifications. Good Luck! Pack contains four (4) vehicles equipped with matching, or almost matching, set ups. This pack takes advantage of pretty much every single ELS feature available including; Alley lighting, working takedowns, working cruise lights, un-synchronized lighting, and many many more. A few special mentions are definitely deserved: Matt - Awesome FPIU base which he so graciously gave me, because he's just a generous dude. Slendis - All the awesome skins that you see included here Iansonwheels - tons of custom shit that took a lot of time and patience to make. Mr.JonnhyCZG - beta tester If I missed a credit go ahead and PM me or @ me in a comment. Please read the readme before asking for support (IN THE COMMENTS). Gracias! Vehicles go in: mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday14ng\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf\
  7. This is R* having no clue as to what their parent company is doing, and then trying to make a statement about it.
  8. You realize that making red/blues (Which was not this author's intention) would require him to remap and retexture almost all the lights on all three cars. That isn't unwillingness to add optional stuff, that's being realistic and sticking to your own tastes.

I guess this can be a quasi-announcement: No, I won't stop modding because a corporation wants some more money. Also, this Legacy pack should be released very soon! :D
  10. It's definitely a loss to me. This is a fun hobby where I can actually do some creative stuff. It's really a loss all around, which is why, again, this makes no sense.
  11. That's my whole point. The general theory is that R* wants money from GTA V, but GTA VI development is in full swing. There are many who will not buy GTA titles in the future if modding isn't allowed in some capacity. And those YouTubers are generating money for R* and Take-Two. That's how I found out about this mod (Which is why I bought the game), and how many others did as well. All that contributes to R*'s bottom line and Take-Two's shareholders.
  12. I am in 100% agreement. It baffled me that Take-Two (Who I'm sure have written a legal document or two) couldn't figure out proper grammar when sending this C&D in the first place. And that the OpenIV guys only reacted to it days later via update, with no warning, and just pretty much said "bye, see ya later". My original crazy theory is that it was an attempt on GTA modding from another modder or developer to stop production of a competitor. (My theory is based on the dev for Police1013's interactions with this community, but it isn't wholly based on him. And another thing. Why send a C&D to one modder, but randomly contact "Alex" (Who we still have no idea about), about changing game files 4 years after initial launch. This makes no sense.
  13. This reminds me of soon after the release of GTA V on PC. Early in summer (During the Steam Sales in fact), everything went on sale, as normal. Well instead of Take-Two, and really, Rockstar, making the game cheaper, they "Lowered the price" but added an insignificant amount of sharkcards to send the price right back up to 70 bucks. These people have been after the money the whole time. They don't give a shit about the community, they care about the profits. This again, makes me reaffirm my position on the petition; it's important. We affect their bottom line. At the end of the day we matter.
  14. Maybe the LSPDFR community is a "small" portion of the consumer base, but this affects everyone who modifies their game. (Think about the views that JeffFaviagno, Polecat and others pull in on daily or bi-daily video uploads of this). Look at how large GTA5mods.com is; Many mods making it into the hundreds of thousands of downloads. That is a lot of money R* will lose in the future. Just because we are small compared to the Xbox or play station base, we also have been around for a long time, and we can make change happen.
  15. If there are enough consumers complaining, that will change things. We shouldn't just "sit back and take it". That approach will never win.
  16. Maybe, but it would be an awful choice financially and legally for them to fight this in court (And we can be pretty certain that other mods such as Ragehook haven't received anything like this as they've put out updates since the C&D was said to have been sent). Fighting the legal battle would probably drag out thousands in legal fees alone. Nevermind an actual ruling. I know many people are saying "Well no judge will look at this and actually treat it as a real case." That's simply not the case. This is a copyright lawyer's dream case; people blatantly violating a EULA (Which is not necessarily legally binding in some jurisdictions, but can be enforced) and posting about it on the internet.
  17. Very true. But my whole concern over the legitimacy of this supposed attack on OpenIV is why did R* send a C&D to them over a week ago, and nothing to FiveM (Which actually messes with Online shit) over the same course of time. It is all very suspicious to me. Remain skeptical everyone. In the past they successfully took down many multiplayer mods, or made them unusable. FiveM somehow avoided that (For now)
  18. This person and The OpenIV team have provided no evidence that anything was said by Take-Two or Rockstar. This could all be complete bs for all we know. Until I see the message to "Alex" (Whoever that is) and the C&D, I refuse to believe that Rockstar is actually cracking down on modding after 10 years of this. It makes no sense.
  19. Yes, I think this is the most important point that has been said. Over the next few hours and days, people are going to speculate wildly about the future of both Open IV and GTA V in general. People need to relax. Everything should be taken with a grain of salt. Yes, I saw the forum topic, but it still provides little to no context for this message from Take-Two to this random GTA modder (If that's who Alex is). And he seems to be speculating that "entitled gta standard online pricks" ratted out the community when R* has been more than aware of this and other communities for years. I think this dude is just vying for attention.
