  1. No. You extract the audio files from the rar file into the vehicles folder. Do this while you have OpenIV opened before going to editing mode where you import the .oac file.
  2. I guess you got lucky. =P
  3. I'm currently working on revising my Code 3 Mastercom siren sound mod for GTA 5 and I don't think AVS Audio Editor is good enough to fix the issues regarding how quite the main modded police sirens even when amplified at appropriate settings. What other audio editing programs do any of you recommend for me to use? By the way I've sampled the siren sound from another youtube video since I don't actually have a siren model myself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFgyzKWFF6E RevisedCode3MastercomSiren - WIP.rar
  4. Thanks for the feedback. I'll see what I can do to sample a better quality sounding version in the next few days.
  5. http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/8286-code-3-mastercom-siren-mod/ This is my second siren sound mod. I have yet to upload a preview video. However before I plan on making a Federal Signal PA-20 siren sound mod for the ambulances, I seek out on getting some feedback so I could do a better job on sampling the sirens from youtube videos for future siren sound mods. With that being said, what are your thoughts on this siren sound mod I've created?
  6. Good news: Despite my fairly low PC specs for the game, recording the gameplay with FRAPS wasn't too bad at all. It didn't even dip the frame rates quite as much as I feared. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYsQCoHjhEY
  7. I want to say thank you to everyone for dowloading and rating this siren sound mod. Hopefully I'll make some more later this year such as the Code 3 Mastercom or the Federal Signal PA-20 siren for GTA 5. ^_^ I'll try to upload a demo of this siren sound mod soon.
  8. But...there's already the GTA 3 siren mod for GTA 4. Look it up on the audio modifications in the GTA 4 downloads section.
  9. Oh I see. My mistake. The FIB Buffalo and the FIB Granger uses the same FIB siren in game. So the GTA 3 sirens replaces them both. ^^
  10. Then the GTA 3 sirens will replace the sirens on the FIB Buffalo (or Granger however you say it).
  11. The Sheriff's Buffalo SUVs or the FIB Buffalo SUVs?
  12. You're very welcome. Hope you like it. :)
  13. It's fine. It replaces the FIB Grangers' siren.
  14. As much as I want to upload a gameplay video testing out the sirens in game, my PC isn't powerful enough to record the gameplay without tanking the frame-rates entirely. Plus my PC has some fairly low specs (e.g my processor is a Celeron G1840, GPU is HD 7770 and RAM is 4 GB) although it does run the game decently on normal settings at 900p.
  15. I'll see what I can do later this month. Maybe I could help you on that. =)

Remember the police sirens in GTA 3 we all know and love? Well you're in luck! The siren from GTA 3 is here in GTA 5! --Important: For those with the rockstar version or non-steam version of GTA 5, you must create a mod folder to avoid having the game to auto-update and remove any mods or changes made to the game's data via OpenIV. For more information on how to create a mod folder successfully, visit openiv.com (http://openiv.com/?p=1132)-- Be sure to download the latest version of OpenIV and run it as administrator. Also be sure to backup your files just in case something wrong happens. Preview: (New version coming soon!) Credits: sc2142 (The original owner of the GTA 3 sirens for GTA 4 mod) If you have any questions regarding this siren mod please let me know in the comments below. I hope you all like this. =) I don't own the original GTA 3 sirens nor the GTA 3 siren for GTA 4 mod. I only helped on editing the siren sound for GTA 5 with his permission.
  16. I was wondering if someone could help me out with sampling an old school police siren to replace the sirens in the vanilla game. Here are some of the vintage siren models from various youtube vieos. Federal Signal Director Siren Federal Signal PA15 Siren Director Siren Video 2 PA120
  17. I would be quite interesting to hear a rather old sounding siren for the Fire Trucks in GTA 5. If possible, can someone make a siren mod for the Fire Trucks please?Something like this comes to mindhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N79vkDC_Wnk
  18. I think there was a siren kinda like that in GTA 4 like one of those Whelen sirens. Oddly enough I don't think there's a Whelen siren mod (the actual sampled one from the real thing) for GTA 5 except for the Whelen Cencom (two of them in fact).
  19. BTW, is it possible to make a standalone siren sound mod of the Code 3 Mastercom siren please? I really like that siren mod along with this one. =)
  20. You actually managed to get the Code 3 Mastercom right on those police cars..... I'm very impressed. =) +1
  21. First of all it's a bit too overkill for a game like GTA 5. Secondly if you do desire to run the game not maxed out but at high settings, you could simply get an AMD FX-6300 or a Haswell Intel Core i5 CPU and pair it up with a graphics card like a R9 270 or a similar Geforce GTX GPU. 8GB is good enough for this game. Here's an example of a build that will run the game at high settings without much problems: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USmSsY9IsW8
  22. Huh. Not half-bad. Would've been better if the Code 3 Mastercom B siren sound was sourced from the real thing or a video with good sound quality though. Regardless it's a +1 for me.
  23. Okay then. Cool. Can't wait to see the update soon. =)
