Federal Signal Vintage Siren Pack! [Scrapped for PA-200 Standalone siren mod]
http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/8476-federal-signal-vintage-siren-pack I've recently uploaded a siren sound mod pack of the older federal signal siren models such as the PA-300, PA-15A 1D Series, and so forth. However I noticed that unlike some of my other siren sound mods, this one wasn't well received most noticeably its unrealistic tones or similar. I might have to either scrap the entire siren mod pack completely or I have to majorly re-work on them for a few days. What siren do you think I should re-work on? Please let me know. Update: I've decided to make a Federal Signal PA-200 siren mod for the FIB vehicles instead because I personally think that this siren sound pack is kinda pointless at the moment. Plus I might have named the sound pack incorrectly. As a result the siren pack has been removed from the downloads section. Again sorry for the disappointment. =(

Federal Signal PA-15A Siren (Police Version)
- 6,056 downloads
- Version 1.0.0
Warning: There are reports that certain audio archives have been muted in game regardless of rather the sound mods were installed properly or not. To ensure that the audio archives for vehicles won't be muted in game make sure that the vehicle.oac file or the vehicle.awc file doesn't exceed over 15.7 MB in size (you can check the size of the vehicle.awc file in OpenIV under RESIDENT.rpf) and make sure that the siren sound audio files have the appropriate bitrate/sample-rate/etc (32000hz, 16bit mono, 512kbps) for the vehicles.awc file. Hopefully this will resolve the issues regarding muted sirens in game. If not then please let me know so I can farther troubleshoot this. Other than that, please enjoy this siren sound mod! This is a Federal Signal PA-15A 1E Series siren sound mod to replace the main police sirens in the game. To be honest this is one of my favourite sirens to work with for this game next to the Code 3 RLS siren mainly not only it was much more easier to sample a higher quality sound from a siren demo video but it sounds very awesome in my personal opinion. Be sure to download the latest version of OpenIV and run it as administrator. Also be sure to backup your data before installing this siren mod. Preview: If you have any questions regarding this siren mod please let me know in the comments below. I hope you all like this. =) Tools Used: AVS Audio Editor (for file conversion and sampling) Audacity (for audio editing and tweaking) Credits- 7 comments

[WIP] Federal Signal PA20A Siren Mod [Scrapped for Federal Signal PA-15 Police Version]
http://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/54443-wip-federal-signal-pa-15-police-version-siren-mod/ This is what I'm currently working on since I wasn't able to find a higher quality siren demo of the PA20A. But the PA15-CPA25 is just a good as this one. =)

[WIP] Federal Signal PA-15 Police Version Siren Mod
I got some good news and some bad news. Bad News: I had to scrap the PA20A siren mod because I was still unable to find a higher quality siren sound for me to sample. Good News: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUgAd49x5fs This right here is the PA15-CPA25 old school siren used in police cars in the 60's-70's and I not only have managed to sample a much more higher quality sound for the wail and yelp but it works fairly well in GTA 5. Plus this was less of a hassle to work with in AVS Audio Editor and Audacity. <3 I've lowered the pitch of the wail and yelp to match the sound of the PA20A but I've greatly increased the tempo of the SIREN_2 audio file and made another copy of this modded yelp as POLICE_WARNING. Do keep this in mind however. There are reports that certain audio archives have been muted in game regardless of rather the sound mods were installed properly or not. To ensure that the audio archives for vehicles won't be muted in game make sure that the vehicle.oac file or the vehicle.awc file doesn't exceed over 15.7 MB (at least under or around 15.75 MB not over it) in size (you can check the size of the vehicle.awc file in OpenIV under RESIDENT.rpf) and make sure that the siren sound audio files have the appropriate bitrate/sample-rate/etc (32000hz, 16bit mono, 512kbps) for the vehicles.awc file. I don't think there's much to fix or re-work on at the moment. However if the modded police sirens in-game are somewhat quiet or not loud enough compared to other sirens, I'll try to increase the volume by amplifying it on audacity. I will upload a preview video soon. =) Federal Signal PA15-CPA25 Siren Mod - WIP.rar

Mods don't work with using OpenIV
Did you create a mod folder for the game?

[WIP] Federal Signal PA20A Siren Mod [Scrapped for Federal Signal PA-15 Police Version]
I've resampled the wail, amplified the yelp and added a hi-low as POLICE_WARNING. However the wail will be heavily tweaked as I wasn't able to make it loud enough as my Code 3 RLS siren sound mod was. Plus you may hear some clipping of the wail so use this siren mod in progress at your own risk. Hopefully this will resolve the issues regarding muted sirens in game and hopefully I'll manage to sample the wail in higher audio quality. Federal Signal PA20A Siren Mod Version 2 - WIP.rar

[WIP] Federal Signal PA20A Siren Mod [Scrapped for Federal Signal PA-15 Police Version]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UA4diGS8BXY That right there is the old school Federal Signal PA20A used for police cars in the 1960s. I have managed to sample the wail and the yelp from the demo video. However I haven't managed to sample the hi-low yet and I'm currently working on it so the POLICE_WARNING sound is basically a lower-pitched hyper-yelp of the original siren. =) Let me know you thoughts on this siren sound mod in progress. A preview video of the siren mod in progress will be up in the next day or two since I do have to go to work in a few hours for the rest of the day. Federal Signal PA20A Siren Sound Mod - WIP.rar

[WIP] Whelen 295HFSA6 Siren (For the FIB Buffalo and Granger) [Scrapped]
Bad news: I've tried my hardest to get the right video with high sound quality for the Whelen 295HFSA6 wail but I wasn't too successful. I'm afraid that this siren sound mod will be scrapped very soon and instead I'll be trying to work on the Whelen Gamma 2 siren mod for the FIB Granger and Buffalo. I'm currently waiting for the GTA 4 Whelen Gamma 2 siren mod owner to respond on rather I should edit and then re-upload the siren mod for GTA 5. Otherwise I might have to work on the Whelen Beta siren sound mod for the FIB vehicles since I did manage to find a solid demo video with solid sound quality on the Whelen Beta. I apologize for disappointing you guys and gals.

Muted sirens?
Also the maximum file size is probably 15.6 MB for the vehicle.oac or vechicle.awc file so size might also be a factor of muted sirens in game.
-
Muted sirens?
That's odd. O_O If the length was fine for the vehicle audio archives then maybe the bitrate and sample rate were factors of certain muted modded sirens in game http://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/52037-sirenhorn-editing/?do=findComment&comment=346804

[WIP] Whelen 295HFSA6 Siren (For the FIB Buffalo and Granger) [Scrapped]
Update: I'm currently making major revisions on version 2 because the sound quality of the wail is not very good in my personal opinion. The same could said for version 3 so I'll be completely starting the siren sound mod all over for the next few days.

Muted sirens?
Alright. Good luck.

Muted sirens?
Damn.....sorry to hear that. Try creating a mod folder for the siren sound mods if necessary to see if that'll work: http://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/53081-adding-custom-siren-help-with-open-iv/?do=findComment&comment=362301

Muted sirens?
I know. Have you tried re-installing the sirens or tried some other siren mods from other users to compare which ones are causing the muted audio issues?
-
Muted sirens?
I noticed that there were some people that had issues with the sirens after installing them mainly the entire vehicle audio having to be muted for unspecified reasons other than more than longer length used compared to the sirens in the vanilla game (the original ones). If the modded sirens were not indeed longer in length then there must be some other issues regarding this. I'm planning on trying to re-work on my siren sound mods to fix the issues of muted vehicle sounds in game. If you guys and gals have issues regarding the sirens not working in game, please let me know and tell me in detail on how it could've happened.

[WIP] Whelen 295HFSA6 Siren (For the FIB Buffalo and Granger) [Scrapped]
This is the Whelen siren model in the video I've sampled from and so far it's working quite well. I'll upload a WIP preview of what I have at the moment soon. =) What are your thoughts on the progress so far? I also plan on making an alternative version such as the alternative wail/yelp for the Sheriff Grangers.
