  1. I don't feel the same way about the "missing beta-testing" point, but even if I did, I think there are better ways of expressing your concerns (with all due respect). I mean, accusing G17 of releasing something without enough beta-testing (meaning too early) is quite audacious. I'm not a fanboy by any means, I just am myself a developer, and I know pretty much what's going on behind the scenes. Quite franckly, I'm amazed at multiple levels as to how well G17 is communicating with its community, and also at addressing issues. Here are a few "rare" qualities you'll see in a game developing company: Answering directly on the forums Taking into consideration ideas from players (see the patch notes and forum thread to find out by yourself) Communicating on features in progress (see all Sam's threads about 0.3) Delivering everything they promise... and even what they once said was "impossible" (arresting ppl without any gun drawn, ambient cops joining the pursuits (even if some of you don't like it, it's still a great addition IMO), etc...) Delivering something with very few bugs Making all this for... free! So, honnestly, I don't get why you are complaining. Of course we want more, of course we ALWAYS want more. But accusing G17 Media of being "bad" is a no-go to me.
  2. My 2 cents: I don't think AI is more aggressive as of 0.3, even though it heavily makes it look as it is. My theory is that previously (in 0.2b), when you called backup they were lost in the 5th dimension (or somewhere else) most of the time. But if you look more closely, they rammed the perp as well. It's just that now we get to see them more often. However tho, I'm also a bit pissed by all that agressivity. The rest is so well managed (arriving on scene, arresting the suspect, etc) compared to chases. I understand it's hard to improve tho, so for the time being I'll be happy with what we already have :) Plus, I'm very pleased that you are experimenting on this as well, Albo :) Last word: if someone is to blame about this, it's R*, no one else.
I love the simplicity: plug&play. Very well done! And the beep sound adds so much realism :) Only "issue" I've found: it seems like sometimes it scans vehicles above/below you as well. For instance on freeway interchanges, or parkings. Maybe it's just me (so many cars flying by :D).
  3. Same here. I renamed vehicle files to police3 tho. I got it to work by putting it in patchday4 folder, instead of 3 (as mentioned in the doc)
  4. It's funny how people wanted to have ambiant cops joining the chase in 0.2b, and are now complaining because they do :p That being said, I agree that this should be configurable by the player. I personnally like it that way, but I don't have the RDE mod, so I don't experience all the "problems" you guys have (too short chases, etc). What I would like to see tho, but it's just pure comfort, is to be able to define the percentage of units joining in. Or maybe a system to define the chase level (the higher the level, the more cops join in) I mean, IRL (yea, I like to think LSPDFR as a simulator :p), you don't have all cops on duty joining a single chase. They all have different tasks to do. For instance, the speedtrap guy will not take part of any chase, I assume, since his job for the day is to catch speeders. So, that was just my 2 cents on this, to maybe add a little more realism, but I'm already fine with the current state of the auto-backup.
  5. IIRC, it was part of Callouts V or some similar script. Wasn't included in the vanilla LSPDFR 0.2b ;) --< this is if you are speaking about "cars roadblock" If you are talking about the barrier sign, then it's Police Radio from FinkOne:)
  6. This! I'm really hoping for this since the very first version :) I hate chasing suspect on foot (in the current state, where he runs as fast as me, and the AI needs a bit of improvement regarding directions etc). Allowing them to actually steal a car and drive off would be nice, and adding realism as well. This, indeed improving the AI so that he doesn't run straight, and go the other way around when I get in front of him. I'd like to see them going over fences and such in residential areas, for instance.
  7. I prefer the current one to be honnest. Of course it needs a little adjustement, but I was really tired of calling 30 backups in a 20mins chase, and only saw 2 of them. Anyway, it seems like they spawn a bit further after having multiple units, but it's not really far off. On a slight off-topic (but kinda related nonetheless): I find new cop AI to be much more aggressive than before. They behave much better in regards to my car, but they are ramming almost every civilian on the way
  8. Sorry & Thanks! I indeed missed that, but just tried to hold Caps Lock, and it doesn't work. I tried with other actions as well (drinking coffee, etc), the ped doesn't do anything. No errors in the log file from RPH. Oh and btw, caps lock seems to be set to "special ability" (or similar, my game is not in english) by default. I tried to set it to another key, but the actions are still not working. Edit: oh ok, nvm. I got it working. For some reasons, Caps Lock wasn't working, so I tried to re-assign the "special ability" from 'CapsLock" to "<", and tried to hold caps lock again. But now I have to hold "<" instead. Odd, but it works.
  9. Is there something wrong with the rar file provided? Everytime I download it, it says the file is not an archive (= can't open it). I'm having no issue with other rar/zip/whatever files (from here or anywhere else). I tried to download it 4 times. Size seems ok (27MB) once downloaded.
  10. Hi peeps, Been having a great time with the new LSPDFR 0.3 until now. However, I am still missing something (maybe I didn't look at the right place): I can't find how to have my hand on the holster. (+ how to trigger "stand-still actions", like crossing arms etc, which have been showed by Jeff during the livestream) I checked the "action menu" (or whatever it's called), it is activated obviously, but can't find the key/button that triggers it (I tried like every key on my keyboard and controller lol)
  11. You can go to http://www.lcpdfr.com/downloads/gta5mods/scripts/ And simply check the date. If it has been updated today, you might want to check the description to see if it works with the new LSPDFR :)
I thought you drained all possibilities of GTA V / LSPDFR modding, but here you go again, releasing an amazing mod! I'm really amazed by all your mods. To be honnest, I saw that big blue and green text, I insta-downloaded without even reading, as I knew it was from you :D
  12. I just updated hero cop to the latest version, but now I get a "LSPDFR crashed" error whenever I try to get a partner from a police station I'm using RPH 0.28 with no other mods. Obviously this is due to some ID recognition not found or something. Here is the log:
  13. Sounds like a nice car! I'm definetely needing a CVPI cruiser for the LSPD units. I already have the one you made for the LSSD which is more than awesome. Maybe it's too much to ask, but is there a possibility of having a version without the slicktop ? I already tried the other MX700 version you did, but 90% of the time the backup I call have that slicktop version (fact is: I really like the lightbars, so I'm always sad not to see them). Thanks again for these great mods :)
  14. That would be good indeed! For now I often let the AI go primary, but it's just a workaround. So +1 for this idea. Well, If I recall correctly, in the first versions of LSPD:FR units did stay much longer on the crime scene. It's only since 0.2 that they leave so fast. So I hope they can do something about it, because when they leave so fast it makes you feel a bit alone. It's as if ppl are all leaving a party at 11:00 pm Other than that: great news, that's one of the biggest improvement I was eager to see :)
  15. I was about to go to bed. Good thing I did a last F5 just before :D Can't wait to see that :)
  16. Wow! Now that's what I call reaction time! Will test this out right now, thanks! Still amazed at how involved you are in this plugin. And I'm sure that's why it makes it one of the best (if not the best) out there :)
  17. Wow wow wow!!! Version 3.5 is awesome (I mean, it was already awesome, but it keeps getting more awesome every release :D) Really love the new Road Management feature. Two little things I've noticed, so that you can try to fix them in a future release: 1. Signs, even if placed on one side of the road, seem to affect both lanes/directions (= people on the opposite lane will slow down next to the signs) 2. Seems like I can't move my camera around when having F6 displayed (using xbox 360 controller) Btw, using RPH 0.25
  18. Most likely, as RPH 0.24 and older aren't working with the current GTA version anyway ;) Other than that: woohoo! Hype is going up! You never disappointed us, so I fully trust 0.3 :) The new arrest system is, for now, the best part to me :) I also hope that foot chases will be more enjoyable as well. :)
Creating ambient events is just genius! It adds much more immersion to LSPDFR, as it's not only callout-related or RP-related. The "follow-me" feature is also an amazing addition to it! No more traffic stop in the middle of the road!
  19. Hello ! Very nice mod there, Sir! I just ran into an "issue": I was rolling in my car with a partner, and suddenly the guy talked about "vacation" or whatever and just left the car. I then couldn't be able to get him listening to me anymore (hitting G did show the "come over here" line, but he didn't seem to listen, as he kept walking away). Not sure it's a bug tho. I couldn't find any suspicious message in the log file either, other than a bunch of "LSPD First Response: Error handled." But not sure it's related to your mod. Nevertheless, the discussions between the 2 guys in the car are priceless :) Enjoying it very much, it adds so much immersion
  20. Hi guys, Not sure if this should be posted here or in the LSPDFR section, so excuse me if i picked the wrong one! Onto the subject: I'm playing GTA with a controller, and for the sake of LSPDFR I wanted to re-map the controls (for instance, I don't care about changing to cinematic camera with B, but I would prefer to put the horn/siren on that button, for instance...). However, it seems like on GTA itself this is not doable, but I guess there should be some third party app that can allow it (without screwing the ped-action, though...) So my question here is pretty simple: is there a way to remap controls on a XBOX 360 controller? I've seen some youtubers (Jeff Favignano not to name it) being able to turn and still keep the horn/siren button down, which clearly can't be achieved with my controller, as its the left thumbstick that has to be pushed downwards. So I have hope this is doable. If not, how do you guys manage it? Thanks!
  21. Then they would need to add a riot shield in the policeman loadout :D
  22. Couldn't have said this in a better way. +1 Did anyone find the patch notes? All I can find is the 1.28 release note which was like 2 weeks ago.
