  1. Yep just tried to copy and its saying that file along with a couple others are corrupted. I guess this is as good time as any to buy a GTA IV episodes of Liberty City combo pack, I always wanted to play the episodes but I was to lazy to go out and get it lol
  2. I took a screen shot of the error, I hope the disc isn't bad although its got its use, I got it when the game first came out
  3. Of course, I'm reinstalling from the CDs
  4. I decided to uninstall and then reinstall GTA IV so I would have a clean install for the new 1.0 but now I can't get it to reinstall I keep getting stuck at cycle error with Data2, any ideas how to get around it? This is for a PC with Vista 64
  5. Anyone else run into this issue? I just got it for Christmas for my PS3 and the controls seem overly complicated and sluggish to me and its at a point I don't like playing the game anymore. Not sure if its just me and that I need to keep playing till I get used to it or what but in all my years of playing video games I never had this problem (I've played games with sluggish controls but I always managed to work around it).
  6. I thought it was a complete let down, it felt way forced. I like where they have been going with Coopers character this season, the older cop that feels he's wasted his life because he has nothing but the job anymore, and now this, really come on. I feel this has pretty much blown away his story arc this season, and the preview for next week doesn't look promising at all. Then tweedle dee and tweedle dumber are acting more like the cops on The Shield would act. This season started out pretty good, but its slipping esspecially the last couple episodes. I'll watch the season finale, but I think this maybe the last season this show sees the DVR for me
  7. Alot of older cops I've talked to still consider the Caprice the greatest cop car, it was faster than the CVPI, handled better at speed, and more interior room. Of course thats looking back through rose colored glasses. Give it 10 years and the older cops then will talk about how great the CVPI was because my biggest issue with the new cars are their alot smaller on the inside, and thats a issue I've heard officers complain about.
  8. There using chargers because dodge is probably giving them a special deal, if you notice during the show, they give alot better profile shots of the chargers than they do of the CVPIs. Pretty simple marketing because they know their demographic is males 25-40 years of age and most likely with a starting family/young family which will appeal to them when they are looking for a new family vehicle, room for the family, yet still a pretty bad ass looking car with performance to boot.
  9. I stopped a ambulance for jumping a curb and running over like 5 people (sad that this is expected of them in this game) and as I approached both paramedics got out with uzis and lit me up. I didn't know paramedics had to be so heavily armed in this game
  10. I'm still running Vista SP2 64bit and I've never had any issues, I dunno what to say. No crashes or freeze ups or lag issues. I really have no complaints about it
  11. I'm more mad about the fact that Obama can't just say flat out "we will never use drone strikes on americans on american soil" Hes used double talk but never said for sure they would never use them, thats whats bothering me right now. I'm glad to see some senators are willing to stand their ground on this, it actually restores some of my faith that the goverment isn't completely filled with dirty greedy politicians, there are some good ones
  12. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7coExes1Yw I was testing with my settings so the FPS is a bit low, but I found this a funny shoot out. My ALT button was sticking on my key board so it was really messing me up, although theres no excuse for dying I guess lol
  13. I drove the Impala, CVPI, and Hemi Charger in the academy and the Impala is better in the tight stuff with the Charger close behind, but I will give the CVPI its dues because it was much easier to manuver at slow speed in and in reverse, the CVPI has more room and better visability also. Personally I would take the Charger, it is a plain better vehicle all around. Saying that I own a CVPI that I use for work and I enjoy, but I bought it because its relaible, cheap to fix, easy to work on, and it feels like the old cars I love to drive
  14. Welcome to the old car club. I'm originally from South NJ and this ol girl lived most of its life near the beach and I drove it daily for years through some of those storms. So here are my suggestions for running in the winter, wash it every week, you want to wash all the salt off often. Spray under the car and every spot and wax it often. Salt is what causes the rust and will eat even the best wax jobs fast. If it was a good full spray paint job you should be fine, but make sure you take precautions because someone stealing it and wrecking into you would be my biggest concern. I run 3 kill switches, a easy to find ignition, a harder to find distributer cut off switch so the motor will turn over but not start, and finally one that goes to the fuel pump so if they even start the car, they won't drive far. Of course that doesn't stop your crooked tow truck driver/flat bed driver, so make sure you have good insurance Theres nothing wrong with driving a old car everyday, I did it for years. Matter infact I was trying to get a trade going for my 03 CVPI for a guys 65 Oldsmobile Cutlass 4 door so I could have it as a daily driver thats a little more interesting that my CVPI, plus maintiance would be cheaper and easier BTW what motor, transmission, and rear gear does that mustang have?
  15. I personally perfer Highway Patrol/State Police cars because they less likely to be hopping curbs and have more highway miles. Main thing to watch on those are the catalytic converters go around the 125k mark (though most seem to be just fine, but theres enough that have issues to be concerned about) and the stock ignition coils go after 100k. Make sure you get the records if possible to make sure all the basic maintenaince is done through its life.
  16. Heres some things I learned from when I went to the academy, STUDY, EAT RIGHT and SLEEP! After the first month most of us looked like crack heads due to our lack of proper sleep and poor diets, and we weeded out a good amount of people because people couldn't get on the study track fast enough. My director loved push-ups, or rather loved watching us do push ups lol. Its funny, while it sucked at times, I do miss it at times.
  17. I worked at a bowling alley for a second job while I was in college for a few years and bowled on a couple leagues. I best season average was a 194 and my best game was a 289. My season went to hell and I took a break and it was about the same time I stopped working at the alley so I haven't really looked back, that was 2 years ago. I use all 15lb balls except my spare ball is a 12lb. I have a Big Bang (big time roller), Hy-road (gets alot of lenght before hooking in), Messanger (oldie but always a goodie, roller set up), Razor (great end game/dry lane ball), and a Black Widow Bite (great ball when I got it, but I think the core shifted which is common with them). I'm a cranker, I use a partial thumb style and use a 5 step approach, while not ideal it worked for me. I consider it a sport, it requires alot of balance, coordination, focus and control. If you don't have a good combination of both then the ball will never got the same way twice, making your game eradict. When I first started I would have a 220 game followed by a 150 game and then a 180 game, by the season before my last most of my games stayed in the 180-210 range with some off nights and great nights mixed in. My last season I won't talk much about, I was playing on the Red, White, Blue patterns and I did not have fun and decided to take a break. I would like to get back into again one day sooner or later.
  18. I haven't been on in a while, so I'm curious what mods your running on top of LCPDFR. It looks like something worth downloading
  19. I was acctually just thinking of when I get done playing for the night, I usually like to do something funny or big, like spam the helicopter. Or sometimes try to get a good shoot out going, or heck even go rouge cop on the city. I wasn't acctually complaining about being bored with the game because their plenty of mods that keep it going for me
  20. What do you all do when you get tired of playing? One thing I usually do before I shut down is I start a chase and then spam the heli support. Its funny to watch all the helicopters run into each other and crash into buildings, but I have unfortantly been taken out by them crashing down on me lol
