Do police need faster cars?
I will say this, I liked driving the CVPI so much I bought one from the highway patrol surplus for a daily driver, decent miles, and no holes or anything in the interior or body, and on top of that the seat isn't even worn where the gun always wears at, probably it was probably a brasses car. I love these cars and their going to be missed.

Do police need faster cars?
I got to talking to a few people earlier today about a subject thats popped up around here and a few cops that I know (mostly involving the retiring of the CV and the current crop of replacments). Do police need faster cars? It just seems to be the rage with us to want faster cars, which I can atest to since police are made up of generally type A personalities. I'm not saying we need to be driving 85hp vehicles either, I've driven both the CVPI and the hemi Charger PI, back to back on road courses, and except for flat out chases and evasive manuevers the charger lagged behind the CV in almost everything else that would be considered day to day uses. Give the CV the Marauder engine or Mustang GT motor and bigger brakes and it would outclass the charger. Add in a modern 6 speed auto for gas milage sake (heck even the multi cylinder disengage tech) But back to the point, it seems everyone wants 500hp beasts, which sounds great on paper but I would believe cause more accidents. I would honestly give up 50-75 hp out of the charger just to get more gas milage so deparments could budget more money for stuff officers need.

Quick Survey
I hate it, they have no reason to pry into my business more than they already do. I hate the eroding of our freedoms, pretty soon it will be illegal to think

What do you want to see more of in LCPDFR?
I got a idea, how about a call out that a boat is drug running, we would have to get to a police boat and chase them down (dunno if arrest is a option at all though)

Everybody's Dream Car?
Thanks theres no other car I would rather own in my life, although I did just pick up a 03 Crown Vic Police interceptor that was a Highway patrol car that I'm really enjoying. I noticed cops tend to fall into 2 catagories, ones that are into guns and ones that are into cars (or motorcycles), while I like guns I love cars way more. Acctually that is one of the last pictures of it together, I've been restoring it the last 4 years, its almost done and back on the road, hopefully before I go back into the academy this fall

Sheriff and police officer
In nc, Sheriffs are elected and hire deputys, their main function is court and jail house duties (serve warrants, backround checks, serving notices, ect). From there they also patrol each county where a town doesn't already have its own police force. They have juridiction in their county or any property in their county. Municiple Police are usually appointed by a town or city (a business can also have their own police force with all the powers any other police officer can have) and usually enforce laws and ordiances. Their juridiction is just the town/city and property owned by the town/city. Most agencies entered into a official pact that if a officer witnesses a crime while off duty and/or out side their juridiction, they have all right to enforce the law and arrest or issue a citation.

What about random drunk drivers swerving on the road, or a call out for a drunk driver, it could use the stolen car script for vehicle location while its moving I would imagine

Approaching with gun drawn
Thats his signature I believe your referencing, although I have to agree with what it says. Sometimes I try to hold to what regs I learned, but I always find myself shooting the fool that hits me while I'm writing a ticket, then I just go on a bad version of dirty harry. Its good fun after a stressful day

Approaching with gun drawn
I noticed when I don't approach without my gun drawn, the driver is more likely to get out with a gun and shoot me, I always approach now with my gun drawn now.

LCPDFR 0.95 RC2 vs Police pursuit mod ( PPM 7.6) Differences
Sorry for being off topic Thats incase someone damages the emergency vehicle, I'm talking about the officer goes to pass on the left side of the road moving above the speed limit or passing through a intersection, but someone happens to pull out. If the officer is speeding, he could be at fault because he isn't acting with due concern to the citizens at large. What I learned in BLET is because you have lights and sirens doesn't mean you get to do what you want to get to a scene, you have to drive within reason and have to be able to back it up. During our driving training we had a active officer there to "relearn" to drive because he arrived to a crime scene to quickly lol

Hints & Tips Thread
Could be worse I pulled one over for driving on the sidewalk and hitting people. When I stepped up to the door, both guys got out with uzis and lit me up. I didn't know paramedics needed that kind of fire power

Has stolen cars been mentioned yet? I would love to see a call out for prusuits or gang activity like the base game has in the police computer

LCPDFR 0.95 RC2 vs Police pursuit mod ( PPM 7.6) Differences
It all depends on department regulations, NC law views lights and siren as the officer is asking for premission to pass through red lights, stop signs, speed and passing on the oncoming side of the road. So if another motorist pulls out in front of the officer and causes the accident, its the officers fault most times (unless the officer was adhereing to all traffic laws at the time). On top of that, department regulations are usually much stiffer than the state law. I know of some departments the officer can not pass on the wrong side of the road unless its a dire emergancy (people need to be dying pretty much) and even the use of the siren is severally "frowned" upon (usually the richer cities and town do this around here)
