  1. Title says all. I don't know if I'm looking hard enough, or API keys have been disabled. Can anyone tell me where to find my API Key? I've looked everywhere. Sorry if this is in the wrong forums section.
  2. New version being released at 12PM EST. What's new: Battalion Chief mode - Medical runs, vehicle accidents, and structural firesStation Selection - Accept calls in Sandy Shores or Paleto Bay. More stations coming soon!Quick Action Menu - Call for a tow truck for the nearest empty vehicle, or evacuate the area. (Caps lock to open)CPR on chief medical runs. (Will not work on any peds besides those spawned by medical run callouts, press Z when near the callout ped)Callouts are now displayed in the upper left, similar to IV's firefighter mod.Equipment selection - Pressing E near your vehicle will open this.Bug fixes and performance improvements.
  3. I've been looking through the files, but maybe I've not been looking hard enough. I'm trying to use the paramedic reviving animation in my firefighter mod, but I haven't been able to find the animation names anywhere, only the dict names. Has anyone else had any luck with discovering the names? It'd be really useful. Thanks!
  4. I wasn't thinking of that when I made the mod, as I have my horn key set to G. Thanks for letting me know, and I'll definitely change it. EDIT: Uploaded new file, Update Callout Status was changed to the "End" key.
  5. Currently working on a fix for the crash that occurs when you load the mod. It won't crash for me if I start it while playing as michael, so give that a shot if you're having problems until I get a fix working. Sorry for any inconveniences :( Fixed the issue, new file uploaded.
  6. Announcement Uploaded version 1.0-a1, the first alpha of the mod. Download it here! http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/7602-gtav-firefighter-mod/
  7. There WILL be an alpha version available for download tomorrow, however it is not super complex yet. There are currently 3 structural fires, and 2 vehicle fires. I'm still working on improving vehicle fires, because the fire never seems to stick around for very long, and may go out before you get there if the vehicle explodes. Later on, I will add a fire station selection menu, but for now, the station you spawn at is in Paleto Bay, as its a suitable location for some structural fire callouts. Hopefully this early version will give you guys something to do while you wait for a more complex version. Thanks for all the support as I work on this mod. EDIT: If you guys want to suggest ideas/locations for callouts, maybe I can get a few more in before the release tomorrow. The closer to the paleto bay fire station, the better it is, at least until I add fire station selection.
  8. Added a function to cycle through random ped variations :). Variations include the mask and oxygen tank, as well as different colored flashlights & darker/lighter toned versions of the firefighter jacket. EDIT: Found some nice new callout locations.
  9. My plans are to release a very early alpha version of this, hopefully this weekend. It will have plenty of bugs, but at least it gives you guys something to do.
  10. Working on house/shed fires, having fun with burnable buildings ;)
  11. That worked, thanks! :D
  12. This is the suggestions/issues/support/discussion thread for the GTA V Firefighter Mod. The Firefighter Mod allows you to play the game through the eyes of a firefighter, responding to many unique vehicle & structural fires. You have a choice between using a fire extinguisher, or your engine's water cannon to take out the fires. Download: http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/7602-gtav-firefighter-mod/ ***** Any progress updates will be posted in this thread. *****
  13. Hello. Recently, I began learning to create mods got GTA. I haven't been able to successfully use the LCPDFR API. When I add it as a reference and attempt to use it, it states that the namespace name could not be found (see attatched image). I tried using the api in my own project, and just opening the api example straight from the LCPDFR folder, which already contained the references. I don't know how well I explained this, but hopefully someone had a similar problem and resolved it. EDIT: Yes, I have tried re-adding at as a reference. I have also tried different versions of lcpdfr and using their api examples, nothings working. Am I doing something wrong in the setup process?
  14. That's super helpful. Thanks a lot, Cyan!
  15. Hello there, I'm going to keep it short and simple. I'm a java developer, and I've been developing in java for about 3 years now. I know the language very well, and the basics of an object-oriented language. I was just wondering, does anyone who know java also know .NET programming? If so, how much different are they, and how hard would learning .NET/C# be for someone who knows Java? I really want to get into developing mods for V/IV. Thanks for any replies :)
  16. Outstanding work guys. Can't wait to play this :)
  17. I replicated it several times. After a police car showed up, I killed one of the officers, let the other one live, and got about a block away. If you wait it out, at some point, they'll go to pick up the dead officer (most of the time). Note that, if you approach the officer while he's dragging the dead, he'll drop the body and open fire on you fairly quickly.
  18. I think it's pretty cool that the AI officers drag their fallen comrades to safety, while I'm firing at them. Anyone else?

Simple fix for a bug that many people hate; The GTA IV Snow mod V2 reactions. When you're driving, any nearby peds will scream and run away as if you're driving offroad. This is caused by the way the snow mod is created, which turns roads into offroad conditions. This simple edit to ShockingEvents makes it so peds don't scream and run away when you drive offroad. **The only other fix I found online didn't work, so I released mine.** Snow mod v2.0: http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=5740
