This looks awesome!! First of all, the redone Vapid in the first pic. Then, the two-door cruiser in the third one. And I'm also wondering whether the second police car in the third pic isn't a completely different one as well. For me, it looks a little bit too edged to match the now smoother, more modern back of the Vapid... The only thing I'm not so excited about is that R* said "We will be back with some more to see in a few weeks or so." All these great screens made me hope for a new trailer... but considering R*'s marketing strategy, 10 screenshots in five days are pretty awesome.

Ah, I see... Thanks for the prompt answer. Are you planning to but the German lightbar on the Passat as well? After all, the Passat station wagon makes up the majority of German police cars. My dream would be non-ELS versions of both the German Vito and Passat, so if you do take requests I'll just put this one right here (I hope this isn't considered unfriendly. I really don't want to press you or anything)

Very nice model! Might I ask why you went with the old green livery? Apart from Bavaria and Saarland the german police forces have switched to silver/blue liveries and blue uniforms.

What I meant was that the more space the map takes up on the disc, the less free space remains for the storyline etc. And you're absolutely correct, GTA V probably won't take up as much space for the characters, but still i find it hard to believe that such a big map that will hopefully offer diverse settings and lots of minigames and shops etc. (which also would have to be on every disc if you don't want to swap every time you enter a Burger Shot) and a typical GTA storyline witch dozens of hours of missions and lots of cutscenes will fit together on a single disc. Also, the source talks about every car being there in different versions etc. That would be a lot of data as well that would also have to be on each disc for them to be spawned at all times.

Yeah, Team Bondi managed to put both the complete map and a part of the story on each disc. However, if GTA V's map is really as big as stated above, then it will be a lot bigger than even LA Noire's map. As far as I remember it was huge, but 3 IVs and 2 RDRs will be a lot more, I think. So there won't be much space left on each disc for the storyline.

That's what I meant when I said that the consoles - especially the Xbox without a Blu-Ray drive - might not be able to run a map of that size well. Even though it's not loaded all at a time, the amount of data does lead to all sorts of trouble, like disc-swapping. And personally, I think having to swap the disc while exploring GTA's map is a huge drawback, and I doubt R* will risk it.

Hmm... I don't know. I have to admit that the info does seem quite credible in some way, and that it would be absolutely awesome if it were true. However, there are some parts that make me doubt the info: -The guy says that you'll be able to ditch your GFs and calls it a new feature. Now if i'm not completely wrong, that was already in IV. -Describing the map as 3 LCs + 2 RDRs is just way too big in my opinion. I don't think either Xbox360 or PS3 are able to run that, and probably most PC aren't as well.

Do you have Games For Windows Live installed? It is required for GTA to work, but - if I remember correctly - isn't installed during GTA's installation. I had the same problem once, when I reinstalled GTA and forgot that I hadn't installed GfWL... the game just wouldn't do anything after clicking on the shortcut.

Series: 1.) Third Watch 2.) SouthLAnd. In my opinion, things can't get better than Third Watch. They had great actors (Jason Wiles!!!) portaying great characters (Bosco!!!), great dialogue and always interesting plots. It's a shame that it's not out on DVD (the first two seasons were released a few years ago, but that was pretty much it)... As for Southland, it is pretty much the same as TW, with concentrating on the patrol officer's work, but there are also some detectives playing a major role in the series (just like Faith and Jelly did in TW's last season). @Molten: Southland's first two seasons have been released on DVD and can be found on amazon (although I don't know about amazon.co.uk, I'm afraid)

Okay, so it's fake. I didn't really think it was real in the first place, but I didn't think the map was that bad - which is why I wrote that I hoped it was the real map. But, hey, R* doesn't do not bad. They do epic. So, looking forward to some really big, really epic GTA V map hopefully to be released within the next half year by an official source :biggrin:

Don't know... maybe fake, maybe not... It is possible that this is really GTA V, but with these pictures there's no way of actually telling. @Map: I have to admit, it looks a bit too small to be "the biggest environment R* has ever made", but if you look closely at the Los Santos map, you can see that there are side streets marked in grey, just as they are in GTA V, so maybe this map isn't so small after all. And I have to say I do like the general concept with the little towns, the big space between them, and also the mountain and lake in the north. And I would like to hit the road on these long highways. Also, if this is the map, then I am quite sure there will be some kind of Sherrif's Department/State Police/Highway Patrol as the rural areas make up more than half of the map. So, to sum it up, I do hope this is GTA V's map - also because if the game is this far, then it won't be so long until release...

Just watched this trailer analysis by GTA-Series.com: I really laughed when they paused at the police chase part and pointed out that there is a bigfoot in the Los Santos city seal (pause at 2:53).

Also, later in the trailer (at 1:07) you see one cruiser displaying the number 42 on its roof. Together with the license plates, this really points towards unique details for each car in GTA V - which would be awesome in my opinion. Also, with only one officer in the first cruiser, but then apparently two in the second one (since there are three officers in the alleyway, and only one of the cruisers has an open passenger door), this may suggest that there are one-man-patrols too... This could mean that there is really only one city - Los Santos - in GTA V. On the one hand, this is not such a good thing for those who hoped for San Fierro and Las Venturas in it, but on the other hand the idea of an LC-sized Los Santos with "surrounding hills, countyside and beaches in the largest and most ambitious game Rockstar has yet created" doesn't sound too bad either... :biggrin:

Looks like R* are continuing with the satirical outlook on everything in their games... I'm hoping for that too, and judging from the trailer, GTA V seems to use the same engine... Now, I'm not a programmer, but that should make things easier, right? ;)

Now that we're done guessing the location, let's start guessing the release date :biggrin:
